  1. Some people here must enjoy non-fiction, and for those of you this book is awesome: The Inheritance Of Rome: A History of Europe from 400 to 1000 by Chris Wickham
  2. I don't think you'll get many responses back due to the lack of people posting who have seen movies/TV that far back or who know the names. I mentioned Jerry Goldsmith, perhaps the greatest movie composer of all time, in a list of composing giants and no response. I mean giant: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerry_Goldsmith ASIDE: Lalo Schifrin did the music for a very, very unique movie that I enjoyed as a kid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Nude_Bomb
  3. I never knew there was a video Lucky here because my parents (my father was a depression baby) and grandparents listened to all sorts of music, and so I've gone from Al Jolson and Louis Armstrong to Glenn Miller and Johnny Cash to 50s and 60s rock and beyond. I made the fading breed comment b/c you can rarely get any song on the radio that I grew up with anymore unless it is classic rock. I love satellite radio, where at least I can relive the past
  4. We're a fading breed in this century, 70s kids... first songs I ever remember hearing were Summer Breeze by Seals & Crofts and My Cherie Amour by Stevie Wonder. I have so many Weird Al albums (Dickie Goodman, Dr. Demento strain) that I can't help but really enjoy that song.
  5. Got a couple that could go either way: Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me) by Reunion Beach Baby by First Class Mr. Jaws by Dickie Goodman
  6. EASY, my goodness too easy. Dick Lebeau
  7. I couldn't watch The Sopranos... to me the acting was substandard and I didn't feel it like Deadwood or Boardwalk Empire.
  8. Doug Flutie did what Tebow did today and he was the Greatest American Hero, and yet everyone forgets about the ugly quarters prior to the last and the failures against good teams and playoff teams. Hopefully Tim Tebow won't be a Flutie and improves.
  9. No, because no matter how Obama is, there will be someone running against him that is worse. They are out of Reagans at the F.W. Woolworths
  10. The war is over- you can't be in wartime in perpituity. Iraq will be a stable place due to the instability of other Arab nations around them, but if Saudi Arabia becomes a battleground, things will change. I don't think Iran has much influence, to be honest... they are so far from the mainstream Arab position that as long as Ahmedinejad is still in power, they will be a joke, like Chavez.
  11. Our priorities should be: BEAT THE JESTS BEAT THE FISH BEAT THE JESTS BEAT THE FISH BEAT THE PATSIES* MAKE THE PLAYOFFS Too early to be talking draft...
  12. No WAY... Paul McCartney is rock/pop GOLD... gotta disagree
  13. The only bad song on there is Disco Duck... What about: Little Willy by Sweet You Make Me Feel Like Dancing by Leo Sayer Brand New Key by Melanie
  14. OK, serious time. Ennio Morricone Jerry Goldsmith Henry Mancini John Williams John Barry Burt Bacharach My favorite is Mancini- always will be. Great, great man.
  15. They Basque in the glory of a border problem to make it difficult No, not with the loonies running against him
  16. Maybe to the Dolphins or to the Patriots...
  17. Find his name on the Wall of Fame, the same one that has OJ on it, and then tell me whether or not he's underappreciated.
  18. Marlon Kerner Nate Odomes Leonard Smith Henry Jones John Fina Joe Ferguson Reggie McKenzie Daryle Lamonica
  19. Send an email to HBO... that's what I'm going to do. EDIT: Done.
  20. I have never heard of that before... that must be rare. Anyone with a medical background have any more information?
  21. Arizona's defense is so abysmal so far that even with the Steelers looking ahead it doesn't look good for Arizona- but that is why they play the games.
  22. I just added this for those who want to know who our competition plays and when: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/137297-afc-team-tracker/

  24. Our only hope is that the Raiders tank a few games before Palmer gets warmed up if the Chargers beat the Jets. That darn Palmer trade really made it hard for the Bills to compete in the end.
  25. I don't know about that... we may want to root for the Jets, because the Chargers aren't an automatic lock to win the AFC West, and if they are a wild card team we need to have them lose. We shouldn't go to the playoffs if we can't beat the Jets anyways, but I have a feeling that the Chargers will be our competition if we keep winning, and the Jets are not strong enough to make it to the end of this season with a chance at a playoff spot. If the Raiders and Chargers keep winning, the end result is one spot left for the Bills against the Steelers/Titans/Texans/Bengals/Jets, and that's a lot of competition to have to beat out.
