  1. Just thinking about it, because 50 is just way too young in my mind- tough to fathom.
  2. Cause of death is supposedly a heart attack... just got my blood work back this morning and it has me thinking at 38 what I need to do. Maybe in death he can promote more awareness towards heart health... just a positive thought at this very sad time.
  3. Not me... 10-6 or 11-5 would be heaven for the players we have now. I could not imagine how we'd do with another year of good draft picks and moves!!!!
  4. Based upon what I have seen, I am in full agreement... we need that pass rusher. If only Schobel has not retired too soon!!!
  5. S-S-S-S-Save it for the JETSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  6. Actually you can, it is called game analysis with a realistic look at what happened. Average teams will tease you with games of awesomeness only to let you down with games where they lay eggs. Teams go 3-1, 4-1, 4-2 all the time and miss the playoffs, or nose dive, or struggle midway through only to come roaring back to life. As i said before, our next big test is not the Giants, not the Redskins, but the JETS. You cannot possibly have any hope to make the playoffs without beating them, and unfortunately their strength matches up poorly with our weakness as of NOW. If we can get Aaron Williams out there and make changes within the secondary, we could very well fix what ails us.
  7. Why, is that acceptable? I didn't think anyone knew we had weaknesses as long as we win...
  8. Anyone with a minute enough of sense in their brain knows that teams who give up 400+ yards a game can't possibly go very far in the postseason. Your idea of negative isn't very realistic- how many times can our defense fail us before something rattles around in your head that brings you to the realization that this year is merely a prelude to defensive improvement and is not a season where we go deep into the playoffs? Enjoy the ride, but be realistic, please.
  9. What I'm saying is that turnovers for this team are inconsequential- what matters is shoring up our defense. In either case, + or - in differential, we're in every single game and our defense MUST step up and finish. I'm hoping for a winning season and optimism going into 2012.
  10. 8-8 or 9-7 is what I see, and that is without an upset. Cleveland may not be good, but they are still a divisional opponent who can beat them. Polamalu will miss their next game at least, and you know how they fare without him...
  11. No pressure on the QB. Turnovers dried up. Defense giving up tons of yards. Cincinnati game all over again. I hope this finally puts to rest this idea that as long as we win everything is peaches and cream and rainbows. We're getting closer to a really good team status, but the denial of our flaws has to end and realism sets in. I am much more optimistic about the Redskins game now and the Jets game, but when we play the Cowboys and Chargers expect more of what happened against the Giants.
  12. DUDE, did you see these games? They don't have a cupcake schedule by ANY means... come on.
  13. People would complain if we had run three straight times and called Gailey's approach too conservative. We're 4-2 after 6 games!!!! We know our weaknesses, and they will be addressed.
  14. After FOUR straight Super Bowl losses and a Stanley Cup Finals loss, I have no superstitions. The only one left is to NOT WATCH the championship game.
  15. When the turnovers dried up, and our defense was laid bare, the yardage monster bit us again on defense. I don't get this team- we enjoy a +5 turnover ratio, and win by 7, and suffer a -3 turnover ratio and lose by 3.
  16. Exactly, and both those who find no fault with our team so long as we win and those who think we will never succeed should now finally, hopefully, see that neither position is accurate. Dareus did miracles for us vs. the run with Kyle Williams, and now with a prime time pass rusher and a solid cornerback, we're a playoff team. That is how close we are at this point, considering how great our offensive line has been and continues to surprise everyone.
  17. AGREE. What happens if we get 3 points from that drive, and the Giants go down and score a touchdown, because they had plenty of time left...? Our defense must and will get better. I'm glad now that finally people are sobering up and we can get to the meat of the season and get down to the business of improvement and getting to be a great team.
  18. We're not expecting a Super Bowl, but the toughest part of our schedule has now passed, we're 4-2 (and we won't go 0-10 the rest of the way), and we have building blocks for the future. Sure we'll probably lose out on the playoffs to a team like the Steelers or Raiders, but at least time is not on the side of our divisional opponents as far as age of players and we have done very well. If we do manage to eke out a playoff spot, it is gravy to be honest. This defense has a long way to go to shore up its deficiencies, but look how far we've come. GO BILLS
  19. Where are you now, today? For your edification, Flutie won a grand total of ZERO playoff games, and why is that? The same problems that won him fame (digging a hole that led to being down in the 4th quarter) doesn't get you a win. Sloppy play doesn't get you a win. Turning the ball over doesn't get you a win. Statistics are for stories and for Hall of Fame ballots, and Flutie was deficient in stats and the ability to win when it REALLY counts.
  20. Any Boardwalk Empire fans here? So far it has been AWESOME!
  21. Actually, it should be the following: Holy crap, can we not stop correcting grammar? There should be no 'the' in that sentence after grammar.
  22. I just want to survive the 'Gints' fans... I plan on eating at a great diner in Hackensack for breakfast before heading to MetLife.
  23. Dick Jauron's part is just terrible... ugh.
  24. THIS makes me as giddy as a schoolgirl.. ha ha ha GO BILLS!!!!!
  25. Google is now at $591 a share, Cisco is now over $17 a share, and MELA Science is up to $6.60 a share (double what I paid for it). I am now up over $1,000 to date... that Google stock is a beast.
