NFL officiating is broken. How do we fix it?
bobobonators replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the way it’s evolving with the real-time assistance from the replay booth without a red flag even being thrown is how it needs to go completely. let the refs do their thing on the field - and all plays are instantly reviewed by official in booth/nyc. Wherever. the technology is there. It’s a no brainer. part of the issue with officiating is not only the officials, but the rules themselves. We all know what a catch looks like when we see it. Stop the lunacy with the nuances that go 30 bullet points deep on what constitutes a catch in the end zone. -
Jones gonna die this game.

Week 8 - Bills @ Seahawks - post game thread
bobobonators replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
One of the better all-around games we’ve played in a while. Penalties are annoying, but we imposed our will on the Hawks, in their house. Outstanding, fellas! We are starting to click on all cylinders and next week we get a rested Von Miller back 🤗 -
If Brian Daboll gets fired, would you take him as OC?
bobobonators replied to Doc's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Daboll and Allen were good together. I just don’t see it happening again while McD is here. We have seen Nagy leave the Bears and come back to the Chiefs for a 2nd stint, but there seemed to be 0 bad blood there. -
Good thing about Milano’s current injury is that it allowed him to rest and further strengthen his legs. A bicep tear isn’t career ending. I was more concerned of his leg. When he returns my biggest concern is rust, but I’m going to imagine he’s going to have zero limitations and we’ll see the old Milano after a couple games.

Not at all.

At least it’s not the Ravens or Chiefs. Him going to the Jets is irrelevant. Let them go in a deeper hole. “this isn’t good”. You’re right, it’s great. If you’re scared of the Jets you should tune out rest of the way.

1000%. The narratives that get perpetuated are completely wild. Doesn’t happen just in football unfortunately …

What is Sherman’s hate for Buffalo? Seems unhealthy. -

1. Division rival 2. 3rd consecutive away game 3. Division rival just fired HC and they were playing to salvage season Huge win anyway you slice it. Ask the 49ers how divisional games can go. -
Once Oliver and Miller come back defense will look better. offense is an enigma at times - we can run on anyone seems like and get huge chunk plays. But then it just disappears within the game.

I don’t go for another FG all game. 4 downs give Josh the ball. F Bass. -

I agree about Hamlin. Great story, but man I see NOTHING out of him for 1+ yrs. I mean nothing. We are playing with 10 defenders every game he starts. -

Dawson Knox: 3 receptions in 5 games. $8.5M salary.
bobobonators replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s disappointing how we have so much invested in TE with Kincaid (draft capital) and Knox (salary) and we get absolutely no production out of them. I honestly don’t get it. Are we unable to scheme Kincaid open? It’s inexcusable. -

Non Bill, unheralded, under the radar favorite player.

Not under the radar. But Minshew seems like he’d be cool to hang and have a beer. -
A possible exception to pass interference is if the defender is trying to catch the ball too - and that’s what occurred there. That was almost a jump ball and the defender got higher than the WR but also made contact with the WR. The defender was in a better position to make the catch. I don’t think that was a black/white PI call. I can’t get too mad at the refs because there was contact but it also serves as an example of where a call can almost go either way, but goes in the direction of the Chiefs.

Like anything in life , there’s a randomness to it. There’s some good fortune and some bad fortune. It is impossible to go for three peat in this league without a lot of good fortune. The perfect example of this was yesterday’s game. The Burrow fumble - not only did Burrow appear to simply lose the ball through no major/excessive contact, but the fumble was picked up and returned for a TD. There’s a lot of good fortune in that play. One of the INT Mahomes threw was negated by a penalty that had nothing to do with the INT he threw. Then the final PI of the game could just as easily been not called PI. It’s a 50/50 call. The ravens’ game also had Likely stepping out of bounds by half a toe. So many close calls and plays over the years that have, more often than not, gone the Chiefs way. 13 seconds with us. I can go on and on. The Chiefs are an excellent team that have also had the fortunate streak of having numerous random events break right for them. It’s how dynasties are made.

Objectively for Bills it’s prob best that the Ravens and Bengals are both 0-2. Chiefs are winning that division by 4 games at least.
