  1. I understand you weren't talking to me specifically; and I'm not trying to be a smartass either; I'm just describing a line of thought. I like Byrd when he plays and he was awesome last year. My thoughts on Byrd have spiraled downward this offseason however. He didn't get his contract but he's still getting paid pretty damn well this season so I expect him to produce.
  2. This line of thought is predicated on the fact that Byrd obviously has no desire to play for us anymore whereas his PF will miraculously be a minor issue on another team and he'll play at a pro bowl level elsewhere.
  3. The Ravens? Someone with super bowl aspirations? The POS played through PF at a high-caliber last year.
  4. My main problem is that it's all too convenient. Funny how last year when he was potentially playing for a big contract he was still able to play despite his PF....but this year, when he's already tagged, the POS has barely put on his pads and helmet, yet he can't play now b/c of the PF. Does he have PF? Probably. How bad is it, that's the question. EXACTLY.
  5. I was just going to post this...i'm late to the party. I've concluded that my initial thought was correct: Byrd is a POS. I wouldn't trade him. Tag him again next year. If he doesn't want to play and keeps having imaginary injuries, good luck getting a substantial contract 2 years removed from NFL action. POS.
  6. Stevie Johnson has had 3 consecutive +1000yd seasons. Sometimes the best explanation is the simplest and most obvious: our TE's have sucked.
  7. I confess: i didn't like Tyler Wilson at all. But i did like Geno and we'll soon see how that goes..
  8. Despite his antics at times, he's still arguably my favorite Bills player.
  9. i dunno what to think anymore. i originally thought it was all too much of a coincidence (his piss poor attitiude and now this "injury")...but if he was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis i'm not going to really question it. hopefully he has a mild case of it and he can somewhat recover. an 80% Byrd is better than most safeties in the NFL anyway.
  10.  :worthy: :worthy:
  11. great news his foot hurts too much; prob not. meanwhile wood has had almost career-ending injuries and he just continues chugging along.
  12. Fitzmagic (also known by others as shitspatrick)
  13. You win Tuel as your week 1 starter! WOOT!
  14. LOL..will always have a soft spot for that caveman. I agree - then again, it's something we seriously lack: a backup.
  15. FEAR THE BEARD FITZPATRICK!!!! Best of luck to him out in Titans land.
  16. 4 games: 23/32 296yds; 5 TD; 1 INT; 116 rating
  17. i'm just having some fun with it. obviously it wasn't an ideal situation; that being said: he's a veteran and he's playing in a 4th preseason game (albeit his first, i'm referring to the talent he's playing against). a screen is a screen is a screen; a slant is a slant is a slant. 11 yards in 10 attempts and 2 INTs from a veteran QB is as bad as it gets. he'll get a broadcasting gig making 300K a year w/ESPN or NFL network - my heart goes out to him.
  18. lol.."tough game"....LMAO. 4th preseason game. what would he consider next week's game vs. the Pats?
  19. though i'd obviously love EJ to start, at this point I think it's pretty pointless to rush the kid. he's our franchise at this point; our future. let him come when he's damn good and ready. what the heck is one more week anyway? we're not going anywhere this season. we're going to lose against NE with or without him most likely. there's 0 incentive to rush him through practice imo
  20. Everything on this board is always irrational - why expect anything different now?
  21. Foot injuries can be extremely hard to diagnose (aside from having the obvious broken bone in your foot). It's like people who have chronic back pain - results of an MRI/Xray can come back negative, but you still have pain in your back. All i'm saying is that if a player wants to be a douche, a toe injury is the perfect route.
  22. Agreed. Add on a new HC and new D-Coordinator so new scheme and you get even less of a reason to miss practice.
  23. A team that trades for him is fully aware of his contractual situation. Someone will sign this guy to a long-term deal. We're talking about a premier safety not some average player. I wish we would sign him to a long-term deal but that's another conversation.
