  1. Same here. Much better than Freeman. Carr knows his place in the league. Seems like a good guy. Have never heard anything to the contrary. Freeman appears to have some baggage. What's the point when he'll only serve as a replacement for a few weeks. If i'm Freeman, I don't sign with the Bills b/c how many games will he be winning if he only starts 2-3 weeks..which by the way is a pretty tough 2-3 weeks stretch.
  2. Good point. It's not as if Freeman was tearing it up in Tampa - last image I have of him is punting the ball out of his own end zone vs. the Jets for a safety. Tuel was ungodly awful yesterday though. I guess it can't get any worse. We have to bring someone in though for depth alone
  3. Can't wait to lose 3-0 vs. cincy. nothing gives me bigger wood than a nasty D.
  4. Interesting. Imagine the cluster $uck that would create if he produced and won a couple of games. Oh boy.
  5. Ya, WGR said will miss a few weeks. They're not going to rush this. We're 2-3 with a tough schedule coming up and no back-up on the roster currently. Season over folks. Fun while it lasted! No point on rushing EJ back. Wait until he's 100% and hopefully he'll be back by week 9 or so to finish out the season. Top 10 pick again here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. he's gotta be out. they're saying a few weeks. I think "might" means it's either a few weeks or the entire season. When I think few, I think 3-5
  7. F**CK ME. WE HAVE A WEEK 12 BYE. UGH. WEEK 12?!?!?
  8. when the F is the BYE!!!...thank the lord.
  9. WGR 550's Joe Buscaglia reports E.J. Manuel will miss "a few weeks" with an injury to his right LCL. Source: Joe Buscaglia on Twitter
  10. I realize all these "trades" aren't going to happen. Just throwing a name of someone who I'd want if we were to make a possible trade. The Lions have former Heisman candidate Kellen Moore 3rd string.

Cleveland Browns starter Brian Hoyer is out for the season with a torn ACL. Buffalo Bills rookie EJ Manuel was knocked out with a knee injury. Injuries are inevitable in the NFL, but Bills center Eric Wood upset with how the Browns responded to Manuel's injury. "The hit was fine, what ticked me off was the way they acted afterwards," said Bills center Eric Wood to the team's official website. "I hope our defense never acts like that when they injure an opposing quarterback. You've got to show some class in that situation. There's a few guys over there that obviously didn't." "You've got (Browns safety T.J. Ward yelling at Kiko (Alonso), a former college teammate, 'I told you to warn him that we were going to get him.' That's classless," Wood said. "Every team has probably got them. I'm not going to say that nobody on our team has ever done that, but it ticks you off when someone on the other team does it for sure." Watch the replay, you can make a case that Browns safety Tashaun Gipson should have been flagged for taunting. The Browns players celebrated after the hit, which was odd considering Manuel had just picked up a first down. The "Around The League Podcast" is now available on iTunes! 12. Trade with the Lions - get Shaun Hill. He's 33 and knows what his role is. He won't embarrass himself or the team. You have a solid backup QB for the next 2 years. I'd give up a 5th rounder for someone like him.
  13. Other than his Tuel comment, his entire post is ridiculous.
  14. I disagree. Hoyer half-assed his slide and it appeared as if he didn't know what he wanted to do - slide head first, slide feet first or keep running. Kiko was already on his way to hit him. Both plays were clean, and unfortunately both QB's got injured.
  15. me too man. the only concern I really have (beyond EJ's health) is Hackett. He's still a question mark for me. I don't know how much of this playcalling is held back b/c of a rookie QB or if this is how it'll be going forward.
  16. Great post by OP. Woods looks freaking awesome. And Kiko looks like an animal out there with his speed/aggression. EJ, Kiko, Woods all in one draft? That's what puts franchises over the top. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road for EJ. This defense is also looking MUCH better despite yesterday's score (very misleading final score); once we get Gilmore back, move Mckelvin over to CB2 and Williams to safety..this D looks very very promising. Lets just hope EJ returns fairly soon.
  17. Jamarcus Russell? Who the F is even available besides Freeman? Vince Young? Bring Vince Young in.
  18. where are you guys getting this info? I haven't seen anything officially posted. FML if this is true. Meanwhile Hoyer tore his ACL. Poor guy. You root for guys like him. He, much like EJ, shoulda just slid appropriately. Hoyer kinda half-assed his slide and EJ didn't slide/go out of bounds at all. No wonder Marrone looked pale on the sidelines in the 4th quarter last night. We won't win another game with Tuel at QB.
  19. This entire board needs a Xanax. My lord.
  20. Ya sorry im on my stupid phone and didnt want to elaborate. I meant i thought his season was over when he got hit seeing his leg fly back.
  21. What youre having a hard time comprehending is that the browns arent good bc they beat the bills. Theyre 3-2 and have some solid wins under their belt. They were already on the way up going into tonights game. A bad team wouldve packed it in down early.
  22. Up until EJ got hurt i was feeling pretty good about how the game was shaping up. Browns have some playmakers.
  23. Browns are an average team, like the bills. Certainly not bad.
