I love Allen running naturally when the pocket breaks down. Hes one of the best in the NFL at that without a doubt. And you can never take that from him. However I am not a huge fan of designed run plays for Allen. The only exception I have for that is when we are near the goal line. Any other designed run for Allen outside the goal line/5yd line area shouldn’t happen in my humble opinion. Risk/reward is simply not there. Designed runs from inside the opponents 10yd line create such a potential mismatch for opponents in the red zone you almost have to do it bc to not do it would take away from what makes this offense so dangerous in the red zone. If he gets injured trying to score a TD from the 3yd line you can live with it. But if he gets injured on a designed run play from the 40/50yd line youre going to be sick to your stomach. Thats how i wish we played it with Allen going forward. He runs plenty on his own when the pocket breaks down that we don’t need to have designed run plays for him 60yds away from the opponent’s end zone

What a game. How many times do you see that many turnovers by the away team and they still dominate. Allen, motor, Diggs, Davis. The entire defense. amazing job fellas.

seriously lol. Im of the mindset: this team rarely punts. We need a punter who is 1. Not a liability when asked to punt and 2. Good for Bass. This guy seems like he covers both. getting into the weeds of whether or not he’s an elite punter is kinda like trying to find blemishes on ScarJo

For a team that will probably be in the bottom 1/3 for punts this season, why not.

At this point it’s not about guilt or innocence. Its about what’s best for the team. Let the courts decide guilt or innocence. Let the Bills play football. Cut the punter.

My thoughts: There is nothing the Bills can do about what happened last yr to this woman (or didn’t happen). As a business, you look at how this impacts the organization. This is a no win scenario if he stays on the team: the news media will not stop, and this likely won’t resolve itself this season. Hes a punter and the reality is he’s one of the most expendable pieces on this team. How will the news distract the team? How will the news distract him and his performance? The accusation here is gang rape of a minor - not some “sexual misconduct” accusation. This will not go away. The risk/reward here from a business perspective is clear: cut him now. If he’s truly innocent he’ll get another shot in the NFL and will make a boat load of money compared to the rest of us. If he’s not, then good riddance.

Id tie him to the field goal post - naked - and let Josh Allen throw lasers at his tiny junk all day during practice. Then release him.

I keep hearing all this stuff about Tua. I’ve watched him now in maybe half a dozen games. Nothing he does wows me at all. In fact, I distinctly remember hoping he wouldn’t be injured when we played him. what am I missing now?

Ive read this a lot about this player specifically on these boards and it really confuses me. Why this player? A pompous, arrogant, silver-spoon fed brat. What is it about him specifically that makes you hope he figures it out? I really am curious. others - feel free to chime in bc i know I’ve read this sentiment numerous times in this forum.

My votes: QB: Terry Bradshaw. Geno Smith might have squeaked out 1 SB on those teams… RB: Like others, Emmitt Smith. Nothing about him was great. Nothing. He was the Phillip Rivers of the RB world, except he had great players around him. WR: OBJ. Its hard for me to put a WR here that played prior to the current video game era of football. It wouldn’t be fair, so I won’t. On the other hand, OBJ is living off of a couple phenomenal catches and cool looking hair. He’s always a topic of pregame convos. Lots of mystique. Little substance.

If it was that simple and his abilities were that limited, the Ravens would go 5-11/6-11 with him every season. They dont. Im not sure what NFL games you’re watching. You don’t win an MVP by accident. And you don’t win as many games as he has at QB with the limitations you describe. Not in today’s NFL. Clearly you’re a bit biased.
