Kinda my thinking. We drafted Cardale as a project. He'll be on +1yrs. If he needs to spot start 2 games so be it. If he needs to start 8 games due to TT injury might as well get very high draft pick. Let Cardale sink or swim at that point. The rest of the backup QBs out there wont make a difference anyway.

Very fair point. My concern is that until Sammy proves he can stay on the field consistently, i dont count on him. I love sammy, just a reality though imo. Its certainly something that needs to be looked at further but its not even remotely scientific. ALS affects women at almost equal numbers. Looking at a group of 1000 people in the NFL in a non controlled study is not logical its purely anecdotal and dangerous bc thats how false information is created. Sure, there actually may be something to it but we dont know that yet, so why jump to conclusions. There is so much bs out there that we dont need to perpetute it further.

I dont know if we can even use likely yet. Theres is nothing even remotely conclusive as to cause/effect of head trauma to ALS. We dont even have a specific test for ALS. Its sad that there has been such little progress with respect to ALS over the last 100yrs.

Very few of those plays involved our #1 WR. Hoping for a healthy 2017 for Sammy.

Based on everything ive read on ALS over the years, the fact that Clark is somewhat older may suggest that he was genetically predisposed to the disease. Wish him all the best. Horrible.

Pretty much. Drafting anyone at 10 other than QB is an automatic must start anywhere in the NFL. Even a QB at 10 would be a must start in the right situation. We're not asking the guy to be a #1. If the 10th pick cant be a #2 WR lord help us.

What does that have anything to do with his championships? All teams have the same advantages yet the pats still dominate. Its not just the Pats WR that can push off. Montana played in an era that allowed him to go to the super bowl frequently bc his entire roster stayed intact. He played in an era where there were about 4 good teams. He didnt need rules to protect him from big hits bc his overpaid offensive line prevented that anyway. Im surprised Unitas hasnt been mentioned. (Rolling eyes) Its the same argument in all sports. Player A was better from a different era. No he wasnt. Athletes keep getting faster, bigger, and smarter (with respect to their game). Positions are now specialized. Kids start preparing for their position nowadays since they can practically walk. That didnt exist back then. Information has to be processed faster bc the speed of todays game is faster than it was 30yrs ago. Defenses show more exotic blitzes and coverages today than they did 20-30yrs ago.
