For the record, i dont like this trade down. Going down 5-7 spots thats fine. Going down 17 spots is ridiculous. We need top tier talent. Not next years 25-30th pick again. Dont like it.

Regarding the trade for Sammy duscussed by several in this thread: Im a big fan of Sammy and think he will be a stud once he puts this foot thing behind him. That being said, trading up for a WR in one of the deepest WR classes in a long time was the wrong move in hindsight (which is always 20/20). No way in hell we dont pick up the option

I think its undeniable he should be a backup in the NFL at a minimum (talent wise). The problem is that few teams want the distraction (deserved or not) Kaep would bring as a backup. Its unfortunate in a way. Theres no right or wrong answer in my opinion as to what Kaep did. It was his right to do so. Unfortunately for him its the right of NFL teams to now say "no thanks" we dont need your services.
