I disagree. TT literally just turned 28. Hes essentially enetering his prime for a QB. Our best defender in Dareus is in the middle of his prime or just entering it. Shaq Lawson and Ragland were just drafted last year. Our #1 corner now was drafted this past offseason. Our #1a or #2 WR was drafted this past offseason. Cordy Glenn is entering his prime at 27. Dawkins on the OL is a rookie. Henderson is still young too. We have a good mixture of youth and experience at critial positions all over the roster.

Hes a solid player on the field and great guy off the field. Wonderful addition. Unfortunately for him every miniscule mistake he makes will be magnified x1000 bc of the person he is replacing.

What the heck is wrong with some of you. Sammy wasnt putting up OBJ numbers on this team. He barely cracked 1000yds in 3 seasons here bc of injuries. We went 7-9 with absolutely NOTHING at WR last yr in addition to having Rex and his brother coaching us. But now bc Sammy isnt here we're going 2-14?

To be technical, Sammy played in 77% of games in his career. And of those, he was actually healthy in about 50% (the 50% is purely subjective).

TT's WR from last year....hmmmm..the scrubs we picked up mid-season you mean? Or the scrubs that were here all year? Percy Harvin? Marquise Goodwin? Justin Hunter? Dezmin Lewis? Walter Powell? Greg Salas? Brandon Tate? They're bound for Canton, obviously.

We were among the highest scoring offenses last year WITHOUT an effective/healthy Watkins for basically the entire season. 7-10 more points to what we scored last year per game would've made us probably the greatest offense in the history of the NFL

I think this is the best way to mentally accept this trade. Right now are we better at WR than we have been 80% of the time the last 2 seasons: I think all of us can confidently say Yes. Of course Watkins is a rare talent. Nobody will argue that. I guess the way I'm starting to look at it is that it's hard to miss something that we rarely ever had to begin with.

It's tough to say. I don't think anyone can argue that a healthy Sammy on this roster doesn't make us better. A healthy Sammy Watkins is a huge factor and this team is better for it. However, it's hard to actually visualize that b/c it hasn't really happened the last couple of years. Right now, you can make the argument that this team has a much better WR corps than it did for almost all of last season with Sammy out or being ineffective due to injury. So are we better than we were last year? Technically, the answer is most likely Yes. Are we better than we would be with a healthy Sammy? No, we're not.

So our WR corps is better than it was last season and we picked up an extra draft pick and CB. True. He'll probably obtain Robert Woods money depending on how he does this season.

This is a good way to look at it. Good post. Sammy was essentially a non-factor last season so lets forget about him one second. Right now is our WR corps better than it was last season? I'd say yes, very much so.

It'll be interesting to see how it pans out. Goff is is QB now. He's no Matt Ryan.
