  1. Ill quote myself: Since 2015, the Chiefs are 15 - 1 in games where they score 25 points or more. Since 2015, the Bills are 9 - 8 in games where they score 25 points or more. That right there is the difference between 8-8 and playoffs. What do you think the main difference is between those two teams/records is? The defense and coaching. And no, the chiefs dont have an elite defense. So dont start the argument that we need the ravens defense from 2000/2001 in order to be successful with TT.
  2. So what you basically said is: Yes, I admit that the offense scored a lot, but they didnt score how I wanted them to score so I want to change it. Why is our offense a "gadget" offense but a pass heavy offense isnt a "gadget" offense? People need to put their subjective views aside and accept the following reality: we scored a lot of points with TT as our QB. And no he wasnt the MAIN reason but he was a substantial cog in the machine. A cog that isnt as easily replaceable as many here believe. As a simple example, since 2015 We had a winning record in games Shady didnt start and we were 0-3 in games TT didnt start.
  3. I still dont understand how in this entire conversation we simply discard Cardale. Everyone wants to cut Tyrod and draft another QB. Cardale was drafted as a project but with potential upside. Why cant we have a bridge to Cardale the next 1-2yrs? Under Tyrod, this offense has broken Bills records for scoring and ranked in the top 10 in scoring over 2 seasons - averaging out to be top 10 in scoring for 2 seasons isnt done with smoke and mirrors. Its not a fluke. Having a Qb that ranks around 20th against the cap but leads an offense that puts up a lot of points sounds like a great freaking bridge to me. You cant on one hand argue that QB is the most important position and at the same time argue that we scored so much IN SPITE of TT. The argument is simply flawed. You dont average to be top 10 in scoring over 2 seasons in NFL with garbage at the QB position. It doesnt happen. Keep TT. Develop Cardale. Improve the defense.
  4. People who bring up this tired argument are out of touch with the basic principles of supply and demand. Paying a QB - who was named to back to back pro bowls and has a ridiculously good TD/INT ratio and is still 27yrs old - a salary that amounts to a cap hit that would put him around the 20th highest paid QB in the NFL isnt stupid is as stupid does.
  5. Exactly. People prefer to talk about the price of steaks at a restaurant as a point of comparison.
  6. If he gets signed to start then he'll likely be making that /yr. if you look at salaries of NFL starting QB's (excluding rookie contracts) the lowest avg/yr was $12m.
  7. According to Yahoo's Charles Robinson, "multiple NFL sources" anticipate free agent Mike Glennon landing a deal worth $14-15 million per year. Remind me again how we're grossly overpaying for Tyrod.
  8. What does McDermott want. I could give a crap about Cosell. Cosell and most analysts have the luxury of talking about moving on from TT without providing a viable alternative. Exactly
  9. When people predict the collapse of the NFL i ask: where is the sport and/or the league going? The sport has been around for a century. Football is woven into the fabric of american culture. The EPL isnt going under in the UK The NFL, MLB, and NBA arent going under in the US La Liga isnt going under in Spain Stop the drama. Pay your taxes. They arent going away either.
  10. We really are a QB away? 6th in scoring in the NFL leading into week 17 and you think offense was the problem?
  11. Dropping dimes. Lol
  12. Cowboys SS Barry Church told a Dallas radio station that Tony Romo played "like 2014 Romo" in late-season practices. He looked great back there," Church said. "He was dropping some dimes, some serious dimes against the No. 1 defense. We went against him on 7-on-7 drills." Church said he would answer "Yeah, go get him," if asked by a quarterback-needy team whether Romo was worth pursuing. - Dallas morning news
  13. He lives vicariously through unknown people.
  14. Several posts in this thread made me laugh. Well done folks.
  15. According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, new Browns QBs coach David Lee likes Tyrod Taylor "a lot" after the two worked together in Buffalo the past two seasons.
  16. Looking back, that was a pretty hostile/ rough situation for Losman to be put in. And in typical Billsy fashion, when faced with adversity just implode.
  17. In two years starting did he get better from his time as a backup? Lets see: two years starting and two pro bowl invites. His first season starting was exactly comparable to RG3's Rookie of the Year season where he was the talk of the town. Yeh he slightly regressed this year. That tends to happen when youre not at Brady's talent level and you have 5 WR on injured reserve. So to answer your question, id say yes, his two years in Buffalo were better than his time in Baltimore
  18. Ok. Watkins should focus on playing an entire season. when Sammy was mostly healthy in 2015 he lit it up with TT. Not sure why anyone thinks he wouldnt want TT.
  19. Agreed. Looking at the numbers theres a clear line of demarcation between Rice, Moss, Owens and everyone else.
  20. In terms of WR its really Rice, Moss, and then Owens. Owens is 2nd all time in yards and 3rd all time in TD's. The players you mention were great players, but to be top 3 at your position ALL TIME and not be a first ballot HOF is laughable. IMO. Megatron was awesome. But IMO part of being at a Rice Owens Moss level is the ability to do it over a long duration of time. Megatron didnt. He falls a bit short of that level
