    Just like the teams that passed on Michael Jordan. Bobby Knight was asked by Seattle who they should pick. He told them MJ. They said they needed a center. He told them play MJ at center until you find one. BPA....

    You are making my point for me. Our second best defense didn’t even sniff the playoffs. Age is just a number, War and Peace is just a book, and there is only one stat that matters. Wins and losses. You probably shouldn’t read War and Peace, you probably wouldn’t understand it.

    Stats are for baseball and insurance salesmen. If they are the best o-line in football why are they not still playing in this pass happy offensive league?

    The best o-line? Is this a stat or conjecture? Either way they are done for the year. Hardly seems like they are the best.

    The Bills haven’t been competitive enough to have rivals. Winning just enough to play the third or fourth best team in another division hardly qualifies as must see. Out of conference is nonexistent.

    Defense matters but offense matters more. Stats and rankings are window dressing. Games are still won by the team with the most points so unless your defense is piling up touchdowns better get a great offense.

    Granted NE didn’t score as much in the second half, but they didn’t look like they were resting. And we see how valuable that week of rest was. That “late” season bye pays big dividends. Rest, no travel, win.

    While we may be closing in on the playoffs, getting to the 1 or 2 and the week off luxury that affords may not be as close as desired. There is a big difference in the the pack leaders and everyone else as evidenced by this weekend’s slate.
