  1. Um, yeah, that was the point. Was Russ the guy that passed on Dalton? Wilson? Dak? Derek Carr? Was it Russ that didn't make a move to acquire Carson Palmer for a bag of footballs? No. You said yourself that he isn't the primary problem, so how about if we start with the primary problem. And how about a straight answer: Does anyone honestly think that we'd talk about him at all if we'd have drafted Russell Wilson, Andy Dalton, or Dak Prescott?
  2. From those that maintain that Russ is poisoning the organization, I remain unable to get a straight answer to this question: Does anyone honestly think that we'd talk about him at all if we'd have drafted Russell Wilson, Andy Dalton, or Dak Prescott?
  3. If that's the worst thing you can say about a lady, then she's a keeper!
  4. Maybe he doesn't want to sound uppity, or maybe he feels he's said it enough over the years, or maybe he just didn't feel like typing it. I don't know...ask him. Mea culpa on the DC Tom question; I didn't know you were ordained.
  5. Yes, it's a witch hunt. If he hasn't given you the right to call people that, then I'm afraid it's against the TOS
  6. I, and others that have been on this board for longer than I have, will vouch for K-9. He has worked for the team in a football capacity, and knows what he's talking about.
  7. Mrs. Bandit has one speed when it comes to getting ready to go anywhere--and that speed is sssssssssllllllllllllllllooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. It doesn't matter (a) where we're going, (b) when we're leaving, or © how long she's known about the event in question, she simply has no sense of when to start getting ready, how long it will take her, what she wants to wear, what she wants to bring, etc. It's painful at times.
  8. Where was Russ on that 1st quarter inside belly trap play that Ben checked to Sunday? Two--two!--pulling lineman made the corner ahead of L. Bell...Russ needs to be benched.
  9. People made the same argument last year, and it wasn't true then either. When you remove QB rushing yards across the league, the Bills ranked 5th in the NFL in total rushing yards and 1st in YPC in 2015. This year I've yet to do the work to remove QB yards for all teams, so let's look at it simply... Buffalo leads the NFL with 2,010 rushing yards total, 5.4 YPC, and 24 rushing TDs. When we remove Tyrod Taylor's rushing stats (76 car, 471 yds, and 6 TDs), the totals drop to 1,539 yards, 5.14 YPC, and 18 TDs, which would rank 2nd, 2nd, and 1st in the NFL, respectively. The reason that Buffalo's offensive line cannot keep up is that teams are committing LBs and safeties to run blitzes every single down. If you are unable to burn them with quick, mid-range passes, they'll continue to do so. People love to say this without providing any context. Why is he overrated? How are you willing to support that stance?
  10. Jacksonville showed the world that run-blitzing and paying no regard to giving up big plays in over-pursuit is the key to holding our run game in check. If you don't have a QB that can sting them with the mid-range passing game consistently, every team is going to do this. It makes no difference--we weren't going to beat them up front when they put 9 guys at the LOS and our QB is unable to back them off. The biggest difference in the game is that Ben was willing to throw the ball down the field early--Pittsburgh had 150 passing yards in the first 20 minutes of game time...Buffalo had -14
  11. It was part of the whole thing: they opened by passing for 150 yards in the first 20 minutes of game time, so Buffalo went to a 2-down-lineman formation. Ben noticed it quickly and checked to a run every time we lined up that way, and 230+ yards later we were done.
  12. Jim Bob Cooter Tony Romo Mike Williams (because Corey Davis will be gone)
  13. Can't trade Dareus--gigantic cap hit if they do
  14. That came once he got 5 yards passed the LOS
  15. I saw 7 blockers going against a 6-man front. Easy pickens for ANY back. Most of the day, he wasn't touched until he was 5 yards passed the LOS.
  16. Then the owner has role beyond signing checks
  17. He definitely shut Brown up today. His only significant catch was the 40-yard reception against Darby early. Provide some context as to why you believe otherwise. He was shutdown-caliber against Brown today.
  18. Then who hires the GM?
  19. He's an excellent cornerback. Period. I don't think they'll pay him $14M+ AAV, so he'll walk.
  20. There are 15 teams with the same reporting structure. Both the coach and GM report to Pegula, as per the team's PC when Rex was hired.
  21. That can't be true. First off, they did pick a QB in the first round in 2013, so let's not pretend that they don't value the position. They also picked a potential QB of the future last year, so again, nothing you're saying here makes sense. Now, if you want to say that they haven't picked the right QB, sure, that's a salient point. It's not for lack of vision. Blame Whaley (and Nix) for that...because they are in charge of football personnel.
  22. Indeed--there is absolutely no way this conversation is happening if this team had a top-15 NFL QB.
  23. Not for nothing, but the season ticket base has more than doubled since Russ was hired back in '97
  24. I don't have a "hearton" for the guy. I actually don't care one way or another. The reason I debate this is mostly because I've heard much differently than your friend, and from more than one individual that would know. Moreover, it makes absolutely zero sense that Russ would want anything to do with personnel matters--in the eyes of the owner, that would make him more culpable for the lack of results on the field. I applaud your very well written message, but I fear it will fall mostly on deaf ears.
  25. Ralph wasn't senile. Never was--old and past his time as a football man, sure, but never senile. Buddy was hired the same day that Brandon was promoted to CEO. Both were Ralph's decisions, and were meant to separate the business and football side.
