  1. If that’s the 1st team OL we’re seeing, it has Nsekhe at RT and Ford at RG... ?
  2. Funny you mention him, because he and Derek Roy are the two examples I always use as evidence that I would not, in fact, like the weasel-type foes if they played for one of my teams. Couldn't stand either of those dudes.
  3. I would imagine that, for those folks not currently living with a partner, it’s been a LOOOOOOOONG quarantine...your typical 6 starts to look an awful lot like an 8.5 EDIT: I should add that this isn’t a commentary on Maddy Glab. I have not made any ruling on her. This is just a commentary on the elevation of previous grades due to QUARANTINE
  4. “The 2020 Bills will be bucking trends and going without a long snapper for the season. In completely unrelated news, Reid Ferguson appears to be handling his transition to 3rd string center so well that the team expects him to be their 8th active OLman on game day.”
  5. Ferguson wears an OL number, so he probably counts...which gives any team smart enough to have their LS wear a number in the 50-70 range a lineup advantage.
  6. Ford at RG allows the team a lot of flexibility in their game day roster. They can dress 7 OLmen and have 4 players with extensive starting tackle experience, 3 players with extensive starting guard experience (if you include Ford’s days at Oklahoma), and 2 players with extensive starting center experience.
  7. I said on draft day that Cody Ford could be an all pro at guard. I would be excited to see him there
  8. Kickers tend to fall off a cliff and never come back in terms of career arc. I’m a bit surprised that Hauschka made it through last season. I’ll be thoroughly shocked if he wins the job and holds it through this one.
  9. Parker had a solid showing in week 17, but your claim that Gilmore singlehandedly lost that game with his play against Parker is massively overstated:
  10. Oh no! Now Gilmore is going to know that the Bills have a 7-route in their scheme, and that their WR1 may run it during a game!!!
  11. Here’s several: - Gilmore was always this good; fans simply didn’t see it - Jabari Greer was a better CB than Terrence McGee - There’s a good reason why Trent Murphy lead all Bills’ DEs in snaps last year - Jordan Poyer is outstanding against the run, but fairly overrated in pass coverage - The 2019 Bills had two systemic problems that went relatively unnoticed: fumbling and tackling
  12. NHL goaltender Literally every point the other team gets is because you were beaten. You alone have the ability to prevent any and every loss. It’s your job to pad up and block pieces of vulcanized rubber moving at ridiculous speeds. There’s no wonder they’re among the most superstitious athletes on the planet.
  13. Milano missed tackle rates: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MilaMa00.htm 20.4% in 2018 13.7% in 2019 Thompson: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/ThomSh01.htm 11.1% in 2018 9.2% in 2019
  14. I think expecting Milano to take $8M AAV when guys like Littleton and Schoebert are getting $11M is nuts. I mean, Blake Martinez got $10M. Milano is probably in the 10-12 range unless he takes a HUGE discount, which I suppose is possible given his unique “minimalist” nature, but it would surprise me.
  15. Hope it’s massively front loaded to take advantage of cap space this year. Either way, seems like good value for a quality LT.
  16. I think Ford would be a very good guard. I’ve felt that way since we’ll before the draft. It was also obvious that Nsekhe was the better RT last year, which is why he was consistently out-earning Ford in the snap share in the weeks prior to his injury. If Ford has improved, the depth on the OL will be markedly better.
  17. Why not? He was 8th in yards per punt return and 4th in yards per kick return. Is that somehow a bad thing?
  18. Go. It will be one of the best meals you have in WNY. And if you’re not excited about dining out during a pandemic, order a rotisserie chicken for pickup. If it isn’t the best rotisserie chicken you’ve ever had, you can blame me. Best part about that place is that large parts of the menu change every few weeks, so you can go over and over and always have something new to choose.
  19. Good...get more of that killer instinct in him. If he can become half the blocker and 3/4 the receiver that Kittle is, we’ll have a big timer on our hands.
  20. It has been done plenty of times; 2 out of the last 5 seasons and 3 out of the last 8 as a matter of fact. And no, there aren’t 2 or 3 “tiers” of teams better. The Bills were one score away from beating each of the teams you presumably have in those tiers (at least the ones they faced), and that was with the worst group of pass catchers in the game. They've gotten better on paper in pretty much every area, so I’m not sure why there would be such a rush to throw water on the idea.
  21. As I’ve always said: I don’t care if we win because the other 31 teams have to forfeit the season due to botulism; bring me the Lombardi.
  22. I truly and honestly believe that this team really could win the Super Bowl this year. It would be the most Billsy thing ever—win the whole enchilada when fans can’t attend and in a year when everyone can “yeah but” your victory. And guess what: I won’t mind at all. Count it.
  23. I have no problem if he opts out, and I wouldn’t make any attempt to talk him into playing. You want guys on the field that are committed to being there; a distracted player is one that can cost the team and get himself hurt. I love Tre; I respect Tre. I’ll play without Tre for a year.
