There was never any opponent in the AFC as ominous as the Chiefs. The aforementioned Bengals in 88 were pretty tough though and the Bills were certainly an underdog. For the most part, the rotation of Miami, Raiders, Pittsburgh, Denver, and Houston in the playoffs brought extremely flawed, 1-dimensional teams.

Do you like the term “Bills Mafia”?

This is where I am. Just embrace it at this point. It's better than "xxxx nation" that everyone uses. The Seahawks stole our 12th man thing that we stole from Texas a&m. It's a nice encapsulation of fans who support the team through russ brandon wormtongues drought, crazy jumping through flaming tables, raising tons of money for charity on a complete grassroots level, outstanding GameDay atmosphere etc... we are unique as a group for a pro sports fan base. It's nice we have a unique nickname. -

Missing that new coach and GM excitement
May Day 10 replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A great side effect of a playoff run is that it effectively reduces the offseason by a month. As opposed to being out of on the fringes of in the hunt by Thanksgiving and waiting to see if they make any changes January 1st, then the draft -
I do too, but if people are sitting nearby or resting drinks, I refrain from doing that. My voice was shot and both my hands felt broken in the second half, and I resorted to mule-kicking the bench behind me with my steel-toe boots. that likely wouldnt happen at a sellout, ha. It was full-fan participation everywhere. Normally you see the "Rockpile" seats all standing and wild/engaged most of the game. Everyone in attendance was in that mode from start to finish. They also played Kyle Brandt's hype video before kickoff and that set everyone off Also, of note.... there was zero sign of anything Ravens. Not surprising based on the rules, but still was a cool thing to witness. When the offense was on the field it was beyond silent and all you could hear was the strange white crowd noise coming from the speakers.

Donated, wished Lamar Jackson well and said go bills. Sounds like a wonderful cause

This is the closest team in the NFL

McDermott set out 4 years ago to build exactly this. Lee smith's comments and body language last year when speaking about it sums up the whole organization right now. He has built up a strong trust amongst the players that he channels into devotion and dedication to the team. He puts the individuals and families first. They are giving players and coaches an opportunity to succeed and become their biggest advocate when opportunities arise elsewhere. No games. Word is spreading and the bills will be a desirable landing spot for good players who may want a short deal to springboard. They also seem to have fun too. Also built a great player leadership structure. -
It was an amazing experience. All bills and security staff was amazing and it was a smooth process. Every fan was into it 1000%. It was super loud at times. People hammering the bleachers made 6700 sound like 67k

Jimmy Garoppolo headed back to the Patriots?

So its some sort of weird arms race for like the 27th best QB in the league? -
Jaguars officially hire Urban Meyer as HC
May Day 10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am a skeptic about Meyer. Its a completely different universe trying to deal with varying personalities of adult millionaires and balancing salary cap decisions with recruiting and leveraging a heavy athlete advantage, and being King of the college athletics program. IMO it is a large and unnecessary risk by the Jaguars. -
The AFC should be fun for a long time.

Is there a point when there are too many quarterbacks in one conference? There are only so many wins to go around. -
That's great. Figured it was a long shot after ball state leapfrogged them Marks transfer portal is a bit of bad news tho
