  1. Everybody is sleeping on the Steelers right now IMO. They were counted out when they had the slide. They had a rest week, and IMO will likely smash a depleted Browns team (which could very well give them confidence and more rest)... they would be a tough out. I still think I would rather play them than the Titans, Chiefs, or maybe Ravens.
  2. I agree with this... although at times he does come across as childish and petty. I have a deal of admiration for Belichick. As far as the football history books, he is our generation's Halas/Paul Brown/Shula. I really like how much reverence he holds to the history of the league. I actually do not like that little troll Bob Kraft though. I would love to see a split and for Belichick to have some late success with some NFC team and watch Kraft waddle around to a nice playoff drought firing coaches every 2 years.
  3. For sure. Belichick has football in his veins. I can't picture a guy like him leaving the game unless he is forced to. I do not believe he willingly leaves the patriots though, at least at this time. I can picture kraft though, if next season doesn't go well and fans and media are dragging belichick over the coals, he can buy in and make a change I think belichick could be in high demand. I have always pictured him coming home to the giants. Imo a new change in scenery would probably do him good.
  4. honestly wonder if the Browns would rather see the game delayed at this point. They are at a huge disadvantage if/when it kicks off Sunday
  5. I have kids. I reluctantly brought my 7 year old to the Washington game last year, knowing that we would see and hear some potentially bad stuff that he has not previously been exposed to. Lots of swearing around us. One guy apologized to us, and I told him to go right on ahead and I wouldn't bring him to a Bills game if I wasn't prepared for that, hah. But decking him out in an away jersey in an opposing stadium with fans (I dont mean Tampa or Tennessee fans, but fans like Philly).... there is a risk there. Not saying its right or justified that people act like animals... its just there should be a level of expectancy or readiness. Its all a lottery on whether you will encounter that frothing lunatic. If the Bills were visiting, say the Jets in a meaningful game... I would not want to attend, let alone bring my kid into that wearing the wrong 'colors'. If we had to, and we lived near there and it was his dream to go to a Bills game and that was the only chance... then I would at least try to get in a suite or premium club seats. Bills Stadium has improved immensely as far as behavior goes. The texting hotline helps I guess. There is also a heavy Erie County Sheriff presence that has increased over the years. Any sign of trouble and they are on it. The threshold to eject (or not admit) someone is also much lower. I also think there is an overall fan code now that some of the boorish behavior that may have been cool in the 70s, 80s, and 90s is lame now.
  6. It sux, but things happen everywhere. You get 70K people in one place, many drunken... over a tribalist thing like NFL football there will be lunatics. Especially back in the day when this guy was a kid. I have very little interest in attending a road game decked out in Bills gear in a number of locales, specifically NE locations like Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philly, NY, or New England. It has toned down over the past 10-12 years to a great degree. I take pride in our unique gameday atmosphere and always go out of my way to make an opposing fan feel welcome. I sit in the rockpile which is the 'ghetto' and I rarely see opposing fans get any sort of 'business'. I want these people to go to their message boards and talk about how amazing it was to watch a game in Buffalo. My close friend is from Boston and a bus-full of his friends come in every year for the New England game and they love it (and Ill note that nobody has ever had an issue). With that said, I hate to victim-blame... but NFL away games are not kid-friendly events. I will also say that this type of story is the ultimate "I know a guy" anecdotal story to put down a fanbase. Should we stop and think/doubt that people were really throwing beer at a 13 year old? I have been to 100+ games over 4 decades and never saw anything close to that. Is it possible the Bills scored and people were going nuts and someone's beer splashed up and got on the kid's jacket and his dad made a giant deal out of it? Id say that is much more likely.
  7. id be pissed if I were Pittsburgh. They got to rest their starters (even at the risk of costing the #2 seed) in order to rest. They drew a banged up Cleveland team who had to fight to the end. A delay would undermine the Steelers' advantage
  8. This is a tough one. Cant push the whole playoff schedule back. Shifting the game has severe consequences that ripple from the Browns. It affects the Steelers, which would potentially affect their next opponent (or Browns), and thus the winner of that could have a short week preparing for a potential AFCC game. These are high stakes games. Are we going to go to Tuesday without knowing the playoff match-ups for anyone in the AFC until 11:30PM?
  9. I dislike running up the score, but I dont think this was a case of that. First off, the Bills had practice squad guys doing it, and Matt Barkely. Second, the Dolphins were not calling it. They were still trying to win, attempting to hurry up, pass the ball, timeouts, etc. Give up and start running clock, show your belly and fold your hand if you dont want the other team to score points. If the Dolphins were clearly just trying to get out of there, then yes, I think the Bills should do their part to just run the 4th quarter.
  10. I just clicked on it and the first 10 posts I see predict Bills blowout wins.
  11. I think it would 100% be a success. They will need to figure out their playoff failure, of course.... and we wanted more for the playoffs. It would sting and be a disappointment. But the regular season was a huge sign of a sustainable machine that will hopefully give us a decade or more of 9-14 win seasons. They beat a number of good teams in the NFL, and flat-out out-classed teams down the stretch. If they dropped their 1st or 2nd playoff game, I think the mode becomes that the playoff loss is a major driving force and source of motivation for the franchise. I could see them coming in even stronger as a team for 2021, for when we are hopefully able to attend the games
  12. I wonder what is going to happen with backup QB.... and if maybe they could grab Andy Dalton at a decent price. Just seems destined to be a Bill.
  13. This is a complete 2000s Bills phony Russ Brandon "change"/promotion
  14. I think it should be: 1. henry (2000 yards is so against the grain and head and shoulders above the position. Titans would be sunk without him) 2. Rodgers - best QB stats this season. traditionally MVP is the 'best QB award' 3A. Allen - purely on stats, perhaps Mahomes gets it, but the Bills being an emerging team helps, as well as 8 rushing TDs and the general trending of the season. 3B. Mahomes henry was nearly 500 yards above the next best rusher in Cook... and almost 900 yards ahead of the 3rd leading rusher! There were only 9 1000-yard rushers this season.
  15. I think its very possible that if it comes down to the Lions or possibly Falcons (possibly Jets), and Daboll doesnt like the smell of the situation, he would be happy to wait a year and ask Pegula for a raise. Chargers and Jaguars, maybe even the Texans feel like shiny opportunities.
  16. I glad we wont have Daboll and Lawrence with the Jets at least
  17. Thats all I could think of with Lynn after watching him flounder against the Bills.
  18. I know they are legitimate.... But the Ravens are a good team too, well coached, they have some athletes, and have been peaking lately. Very dangerous. The Chiefs, same thing but a little better and championship pedigree. You would also have to remember that we would see a Ravens team who won at Tennessee and then at Kansas City as well as their close to the season. Decent chance of beating either team is a pretty strong statement IMO. I would take them as a pretty heavy favorite against everyone else in the AFC Field, although Derrick Henry makes me a little nervous.
  19. How I see it playing? Beat the Cl0ts Beat the Steelers take our chances against the Ravens or Chiefs. There is a decent chance the Bills can beat those teams, especially the Ravens. Decent chance they lose too... in which case, I would still consider this season a smashing success. And I think they beat the Packers or Saints right now. And no, I dont have to take things one game at a time. Im not a player or coach on the team.
  20. It's tough to cross compare eras
  21. That was hilarious. Is there a covid rule for no Gatorade baths? I saw a player a few minutes earlier got the cooler taken away... unless it's a jimbo thing where he really hates it. He ran quick
  22. The Texas a&m/NC game was awesome.
  23. Napolis Really though. They should have shot him into the sun no later than 2009, probably earlier. Absolute toxicity. Wilson was very comfortable with him but he ran a very dysfunctional football organization. It's no coincidence this guy hasn't sniffed any opportunity since he was figured out
