  1. I agree 100% that John Murphy's show is top-notch.
  2. I want outdoor. However, if retractable/dome is what the developers, Bills, State, etc want, and that is what is going to get it done, so be it. Tailgating in a snow suit and stripping down to walk to the game in the freezing cold will be a new experience.
  3. Im not a big indoors guy, but I could get behind that.
  4. gotta say, that looks really cool from the inside
  5. there is a way to tell the truth while keeping details murky in order to protect information you want protected. Blatant noisy/extreme lying builds distrust. Pencil necked marketing suits are supposed to have that stuff mastered. Another example is when he stole all of Pegula's rhetoric talking about only objective/goal is to win, no stone unturned, etc.... then turn around and sell home games to Toronto again despite public complaints from arguably the Bills' best player (who is approaching FA). We arent supposed to be able to see through these guys' BS. likely just to get 2 news cycles
  6. this is why I hate Russ Brandon and have zero stock in anything he says as being the truth. That goes for this, how he wants to leave 'no stone unturned' to win games, the Toronto series being about "Regionalization", and that his objective is to keep the Bills here forever. "There's a lot of speculation for whatever reason related to that," Bills President Russ Brandon said. "Buddy Nix is our general manager and will be for a long time."
  7. the meeks shall inherit the ball
  8. Read the article. It was just this particular scenario/site. There are a few other live possibilities the NFL is still interested in.
  9. yes, definitely. Get it out of the way. Force the NFL to either expand or get its moving out of the way.
  10. at this point we should be rooting for them to succeed.
  11. The issue I have, is there was no real change. Just brought in an unproven coaching staff. The main players, most of which are constants through a lot of bad years, are making decisions. They only act when there is no other choice and they need to quiet the fans/media down and buy a few years. Big news! Russ Brandon goes from President to Super-President! Buddy Nix stays on to disassemble the team that him and Russ built for the last 3 years because we trust them to do it correctly this time.
  12. we are also talking like 20 years ago and a completely different time. The Bills are so quick to report they have been successful at regionalizing, it should be no problem to sell out a stadium, which is smaller than it was 20 years ago.
  13. If Ralph sells the team, say next Summer, and he was already paid out, and they lose 4 home games over the following 4 years to Toronto, doesnt that make the team less appealing? Edit: Wouldnt be surprised to see Rogers take a light buy-out since their aspirations for the Toronto NFL team would be done at that point.
  14. the terms of the Toronto deal may not make it any more difficult. We just dont know yet (and may (hopefully) never know). it could just as easily have a 'right of first refusal' clause on the purchase of the team and the $ up front is a down payment. Maybe Ralph's estate gives back a prorated amount.
  15. the Sabres lose money. The owner doesnt care. He wants to win. As a result, they are able to raise prices and people are spending more. With a more favorable CBA, they might make money. The team markets better in print, on TV, and amongst the NHLPA. Then you have Russ Brandon who during his self promoting P.C. borrowed the same exact lines that Pegula used when he bought the team. It is all B.S. It is also nearly impossible to lose money in the NFL
  16. So Brandon sells out the stadium on a constant basis, but Buffalo is too poor and insignificant to support anything nice. Dont tell that to the Sabres or their fans though because they are marketing the right way, by giving the fans pride in the team and themselves, not constantly driving home the image that that are inferior.
  17. I would rather a price increase and them making the preseason games "free". mentally that would be better.
  18. it sounds like people are arguing for the team to move. While the Sabres try to sew good will with the fans and know how to strike the right notes. They sell millions of merchandise in days coming off the lockout, and also pretty much sell out the season. I also notice many new sponsors inside the arena. Thats what effort brings.
  19. let's see what the terms are. Word was they wouldnt be willing to come close to the last deal they took a bath on
  20. didnt think i would like white helmets. Im relatively very happy with the current kits. WOuld like to do away with the rugby polo collar though
  21. I thought Ralph's monetary influence was gone, and winning was the only thing that mattered in the "Brandon era" (which really started the day Donahoe was sent packing). all smoke and mirrors
  22. Buffalo + Toronto isnt happening. Do you guys read the press up there or speak to actual Canadians? they want nothing to do with the Bills unless it is their own team Unless they were already Bills fans, and they hate the series too and prefer games in WNY
  23. there is no way Russ Brandon fires himself. Only hope is a new owner and a house cleaning, if and when that happens...
