Texas Stadium being imploded tomorrow
May Day 10 replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ah, I see. Thats not too, too bad, especially that most teams have upgraded in the past 10 years. I still have no problem with Rich Stadium. They can keep the thing standing until 2050 and Ill be happy. Character is good, luxury is bad. Its football, the cameras are all on the field most of the time and all stadiums are equal on TV. Baseball is different because the dimensions and backdrop add to the game appear on TV -

does anyone else think that this is so excessive and unnecessary? The G.D. thing was built like yesterday are we going to have to tear down HSBC Arena soon? -
I wouldnt mind trading him for picks. Need as many picks as possible to build up in the trenches. Once the Bills have all those necessary pieces they can pick up the shiny toys in the skill positions.

another classic moronic statement from Mort
May Day 10 replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont think the video is too degrading to the Bills at all. In fact, its complimentary. Mortenson said good things about Nix and Gailey too. -
Allen Wilson - NO WAY the Bills take Tebow at #9
May Day 10 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if they are really convinced they want him, they will get him. if this requires them picking him at #9, i still see them doing that if they feel he is the franchise. -
One of the best games I saw at the Ralph

Great game! You know its good when someone mentions "The jags game" and I knew exactly what game it refers to. I remember watching it, where I was, what I did when Flutie scored. All measures of a classic. -
What do you think of the FRONT OFFICE so far?

Trent Edwards "confident" he'll be the Bills Starter
May Day 10 replied to BamaBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with that. I would rather see him as the starter than a Vet who cost the team a 2nd rounder or more. The team will be bad this year. Im cool with it. Next year the Bills will have the pick of the litter for the true franchise QB. If Edwards proves me wrong, thats cool. I dont see it happening with his obvious external locus of control. -

maybe he is just bitter that "last year's staff" nailed him to the bench where he belongs... and he wants to further the agenda that he was benched because they didnt know what they were doing. -

Again, he is deflecting blame for his suckiness. "I dont want to talk negatively about last year's staff" well you just did m-fer. I havent heard him say much (if anything) about how hard he needs to work to improve his game. -
dont like that attitude really. He needs to blame his faulty play and try to improve. It was a lot more than injuries.

Bradford's workout leaves crowd in awe.
May Day 10 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I definitely do not want Clausen. He was throwing to a thouroughbred receiver playing against a bunch of crap. Im still on board with loading up with linemen and linebackers... making development the primary goal for this season, using a stopgap QB that could be Edwards or Fitz... Then draft the top QB next year and not have to trade anything for him. -

based on papazoid's point assessment, I would make that trade and thank the Rams for it -

I would have no problem if the Bills gave up the farm to get Bradford -

this is why I was rooting for the Bills to lose every game from the Cleveland game on -
i really would love for them to scrap the "current" unis. My ideal uniform situation is: current retros home and away "3rd" 90's Bills.

I Pledge Season Ticket Renewals for 3 Years
May Day 10 replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that is a good way at looking at it. I really do like McNabb a lot. The guy is a warrior. I would love to see him on the Bills. I just do not foresee this roster competing in the next few years. -
I Pledge Season Ticket Renewals for 3 Years
May Day 10 replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah, maybe I should just stop thinking and let go. I have no control over it and just have faith that Nix, Whaley, Modrak, and Gailey really know what they are doing and will do what is right. After watching the last 10 years it just seems so impossible. -
I am a little discouraged with the rumors that the Bills are looking to trade for McNabb. From any outside observer, you can see this team has many holes. Just trying to patch a couple will just create more holes. This is the cycle we have seen for the past 10+ years. I feel the roster is at its weakest now... arguably worse than the 2002 squad... ESPECIALLY if Schobel retires. they should be focusing on 3 years from now. draft picks in 09, 10, and 11 will be important, mcnabb will not. Any player they do not see contributing in 3 seasons they need to dump off for whatever pick(s) they can get. Build off last year's successful draft, and hopefully good drafts in the next 2 with the odds of landing good players raised due to offloading players like Schobel, Parrish, etc. for picks. They may possibly be in a position to draft the top QB/Locker after next season. After that the Bills can fill in with FAs and trade for vets. IMO this is the direction this organization needs to go now. I suspected that is what they were planning. I kind of dont want them to try to be good this season if it means trading assets that will help in 3 seasons. Now if the young core comes together early and they win a bunch of games next year Ill be thrilled. But if they stay the course and go 2-14 I will not be upset. Im saying bring the full rebuild on. I will continue to renew my season tickets and buy as much merchandise as I would normally. This groundhog day scenario of below average teams followed by FAs walking and attempting to fill holes foolishly is what is going to suck my life out as a Bills fan.

awesome article. Brings me back. I am also guilty of moving towards these electronic games. I still have my Strat-o-matic hockey and baseball games (football too). Reading that makes me want to break em out. My dad still plays Strat hockey almost every night. He just finished a complete replay of an Original 6 hockey season. A few other games I remember are Pursue the Pennant Baseball, Statis Pro Baseball, Basketball, and Boxing, Win Place and Show horse racing, and a more primitive game with a spinner called All-Star Baseball. Its a shame that tabletop games are eventually going to dry up.
