  1. Carrington sure looked like a torn ACL
  2. I agree it is frustrating. Most teams have been good, bottom of the barrel, good again, repeat numerous times, while the Bills just sit there and spin the tires. It stinks. We were sold on another rebuild, which is OK, I guess (normally it takes teams less than 2 years to get a competitive team)... but a performance like yesterday is really a shot in the gut and nothing good apparently can be taken. We will hear "secondary and secondary depth" all year and they will draft there, overcompensate, only to find three new holes elsewhere. Im in a miserable place this morning with the Bills. I do not want to see the season over before mid October. Hopefully the players and coaches learned something to take out of the game and show better signs moving forward.
  3. I agree it will be 17-14. Maybe a bit sloppy. Bills' secondary is still ripe for the pickins though
  4. im sure they would schedule a sweep through and also incorporate it with bye weeks. Such as: 4 straight home games Thursday vs. Cincinnati Monday @ New York @ San Diego @ Kansas City @ Indianapolis @ Tennessee bye week
  5. unfortunately there is plenty of room for relocation and to rip the hearts out of millions Buffalo to Toronto Jacksonville to London Oakland and/or St. Louis to Los Angeles
  6. this gets mentioned each time a thread like this emerges. It is a completely different era now. There is a greater demand for tickets and the live experience across the board. Also, you now have the ability to purchase and resell tickets on the internet. They also caught on and teams offer playoff ticket sales well ahead of time instead of scrambling the week between Week 17 and the Wild Card game. I have trouble believing the Bills would have any trouble selling out a home playoff game at this point.
  7. 3rd down, penalties, Spiller inneffective
  8. Nobody is getting fired anytime soon. If things hit the fan again, and this "rebuild" again sputters out, Brandon essentially cannot fire himself, and by then, Ralph will be, what 97? He isnt going to be much for sweeping changes. Basically, Brandon isnt going anywhere. If a future owner buys the team and remains in Buffalo, I really hope they cleanse the entire organization and build from the top down (assuming the organization hasnt taken off by then). I agree with the general "theme" of the OP... but any real anger or calls for change at this point are misguided and a waste of time. This organization has become more and more irrelevant with a direct correlation to Mr. Brandon's rise through the ranks. There is no doubt he is influencing football ops heavily (and I suspect it goes back to the late Donahoe days). You can see it by the way he addresses and comments on specific roster issues through the media, interviews and such. I also didnt really buy "all in" on the whole Wilson stepping-aside, Brandon becoming the real decision make, Nix sauntering off, making his understudy the GM as huge sweeping changes. I also do not think Brandon's marketing and off the field management is particularly good. I have lived in 5 other NFL markets, and those teams completely wipe the Bills off the map with TV coverage (such as full 1 hour shows from the stadium on Network local affiliates following the 6:30 News), print ads and awesome freebie inserts in newspapers, and much, much better/exciting commercial campaigns. The Bills sell tickets, but let's face it. That is due to the party and the low prices. I also believe they needed to/should have moved camp to CNY before the Jets or Giants got a chance to. But basically its all a waste of time. We wait until either: A. This team/staff grows together and turns into a contender B. New ownership C. The team moves. edit: and I am also in the camp that sees a lot of good signs from yesterday, and am hopeful they carry over/through.
  9. He was playing against 3rd stringers and cuts... but that is what he was supposed to be, and he looked like tom brady compared to them. That establishes he could be a cut above that crowd. He alreafy looks 10x better than thigpen
  10. Buffalo sports media has devolved completely. It is god-awful. Especially harrington and gleason. Sullivan is bad too. Tim graham suddenly joined the dummy brigade too. He used to be better than that. Schopp and the bulldog fail to cover the teams anymore either. They just look for the best "story" and take idiot caller after idiot caller. Buscaglia is excellent... its going to sting when we lose him to a national outlet or network
  11. I tore my acl and had the same surgeon as scott chandler (who is/was back in 4 months). The surgeon said I could be active again in 4 months if I follow instructions. He never offered me any performance enhancing drugs
  12. This would ruin ncaa football for me which just become my favorite 'sport'. Even got ub seasons this year
  13. There is a group of people who go through the rosters upon release and adjust every detail down to equipment to create a nearly authentic ncaa package. Also all coaches and coordinators are created. The rosters are made public and anyone can download it in 5 seconds. It is wonderful. Ncaa 14 is the best sports video game I have ever played. Im hoping it isnt the last. There is a chance it could make future releases better as they can add suspensions and such the ncaa wont let them touch. As long ad they keep a reasonable degree of customization and sharing, folks will put in the work to make the game authentic. Im thinking nobody is going to want to dive in with the lawsuit out yherr
  14. I agree 100%. This reeks of someone out to prove a point, get publicity, possible lawsuit.
  15. Im up in August. Im going to get the best deal from Time Warner and try to leverage the entire DTV Introductory deal
  16. “Like everything it’s just another river to cross, another stumbling block,” he said. “I’ve been to the top many, many times and I’ve been to the bottom and it’s just one of those roller coaster rides that I’ve been on throughout my life. It’s just another challenge for me and I know I’ll beat it. That’s the bottom line.” :clap
  17. Blues Brothers isnt really 'slapstick' funny laugh a minute type of deal. More peculiar, outrageous plot with good characters. Great music. When I come across it on the Guide, I watch it every time.
  18. I love that album.... Every Breath You Take is a bit hokey though.
  19. I hate Anchorman as well as pretty much anything with Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, and Seth Rogen Superhero movies dont do it for me and I wish they would stop. The Godfather is boring and overrated. There Will Be Blood was unmitigated, boring trash
  20. Its very refreshing. I hope they gain listeners and force some changes
  21. I see Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam as both carrying the R&R torch well. I dont consider RHCP as "R&R", more a hybrid (I think they are great). Go to either one live, and you see a lot of energy and variability in each and every show. They dont go through the motions. Probably the best 2 live shows I have seen out of hundreds. I also didnt really dig Pearl Jam until I did see them live. Also, Pearl Jam hasnt tried to re-create Ten at all. If anything, the opposite. Every album is different and have progressed as musicians. You also skipped Riot Act, which was between Binaural and Self-Titled. Outside of Vedder, they have talented musicians in Matt Cameron (also the drummer for Soundgarden), Mike McCready, Stone Gossard, and Jeff Ament. Vedder is also ultra talented on numerous stringed instruments, as he plays solo shows and carries 2+ hours all himself. Plus they can cover the s^%$ out of The Who. I think there is a stigma with pearl Jam that annoys people on the surface. They think vedder is a poser or grunts too much, or havent done nothin' since Ten and wont go away. You really think the 90's was "dreadful" for music? In my mind, it is arguably the best decade, and certainly the last hurrah as far as mainstream music goes.
  22. I guess, it would be 'popular' stuff I cannot stand Motley Crue Ozzy (post Sabbath) Kanye I do agree The Boss is overrated, although, I do enjoy some stuff. Bands/acts I feel like dont get their due Queens of the Stone Age Pearl Jam (general public)
