  1. They should build the stadium on grand island and call the team the grand island bills. Niagara bills, niagara frontier bills, wny bills.... outta here with that s___ Its the buffalo bills
  2. It seems like the people who cant get past the dog fighting thing are those who are stuck on defending Vick. The point of the article and this thread is Vick's admission that he never gave 100% or took the time and effort to do well. He accepted mediocrity. Yeah, maybe that would be good for the Bills, but I dont want to see that. Why are people saying that Vick is going to be "more motivated" now? He wasnt that motivated last year. He was mediocre for the Eagles. I live in Philly so I get all the analysis and see most of the games. They needed him, and he was a nonfactor, other than 1 second half in a blow-out game. Money isnt a huge motivator. He won a court case and recovered a huge chunk of money. Fans here want McNabb out of here with the strength of 1,000 suns, but I havent heard one mention that they vision Vick as the starter or even on the team at all next season. He is a throw away. There is no way this "dog" is going to learn new tricks. There is no way to assume that he will suddenly be a model captain on a football team. There is heavy evidence that he will be the opposite of that. And his quarterbacking skills have always been marginal, even in his prime, which he has let pass him by due to stupid decisions like breaking the law and not putting in the effort.
  3. people will still defend him here. The funniest theories are the ones that say that he will somehow "groom" our drafted QB of the future.
  4. the article doesnt have much to do with his crimes. It is about his admission he doesnt give his all and accepts mediocrity.
  5. This "football guy" line is repeated by everyone there and makes me skeptical as it is in direct response to fans' criticism of the front office and Russ Brandon running the show. Ralph Wilson said that about 50 times in the Nix promotion press conference, and I have heard it reapeated by everyone since.
  6. I would be happy. i think it may be a little far-fetched...
  7. This is the truth. Maybe he would be a minor upgrade from what we have, but there are many minor upgrades out there... without the distractions and BS. I dont want this guy here influencing any players. signing vick IMO would be a completely wrong direction for the team at the QB position.
  8. it will all come down to how serious the NFL is (if at all) about keeping a franchise in Buffalo. They would have to make an exception to the rules and someone with money and power would have to put the effort into organizing this. The NFL rule now is something like a team has to have no more than 30 or 35 owners and 1 of the owners has to own a majority... something like that.
  9. Cmon Beerball. The Bills still have a whole lot of misery in store for us.
  10. St Louis to Los Angeles New England to Toronto Miami to San Antonio problem solved
  11. not to mention ticket revenue is split 60/40 with the away team
  12. yeah, hopefully Vick can rub off on a young promising quarterback. That would be positive.
  13. This would be horrible. It would be counter productive to the rebuilding of this team it would confirm that the front office is only F'ing with us and is F.O.S. Barnum and Bailey Circus I dont think Vick is very good at all, and he is a subhuman
  14. I think I have that at home... The headline reads "end of the road" or somehing like that.
  15. a couple more days and maybe they will be asking Fitzpatrick to play
  16. I definitely would love to see the other team get a chance to match... or beat the receiving team. It would bring up some interesting strategy when the first team has the ball... do they try for a long field goal, go for it on 4th and 1 from the 3... do they trust their defense to not let up a TD.... etc....
  17. The Sabres looked pretty decent last night. Nabokov got the 1st Star even though he let in 2 goals. Basically this road trip isnt a failure unless the wheels fall off... and they havent. They have lost a few games, but have not looked bad and have fought hard. they still have a decent lead in the division, which is the important thing. Grabbing the #3 spot is huge.
  18. I hate the Jets. I work with some Jets fans though and they have actually been really genuinely excited without being obnoxious. They are just waiting for the heartbreak and really didnt think they had much of a chance against San Diego and arent too confident for the Indy game.
  19. they looked very good that 1st period. Train wreck power play though. They will have to keep it up to stay on top of the Sharks though. Hopefully they can keep that top line bottled up. Seeing Heatley again gives me diarreah
