  1. I didnt think it was bad last night at all.
  2. That sucks to hear. Nobody goes to a game with any expectation of dying. I feel bad for the brother who didnt take care of him. A lifetime of questioning himself and replaying the night. I hope it doesnt create a wave of new restrictive rules though.
  3. thatll be typical. The Bills get in the playoffs and everyone hates them because they knock off the NFL's feel-good story. Id take Bills @ Pats in the first round though.
  4. by we, I mean the crowd. If nothing else, we can put a raucous atmosphere on display for a 3-6 team who hasnt been in the playoffs for 12 years.
  5. I know we are 3-6 and not feeling great about the season.... But its a primetime nationally televised game against who is (supposed to be) our most hated rival. A win can start a roll that can realistically end with a playoff berth. It has to start with a win vs. Miami. It keeps the season very alive for another week. A loss and the season is already over with no Sabres. Also remember the ass kicking the Dolphins laid on the Bills. Especially in Miami where they were physically wrecking the Bills even when the game was out of reach. The Bills/Buffalo seem to get good press when we have a primetime home game and the crowd puts the rest of the NFL to shame. Im miserable. I almost went outside during the 1st quarter of the Pats game. But this might be the last game that many of us attend until next season's home opener.... Im pumped for Thursday! I dont plan on having a voice on Friday. Its do or die.
  6. I believe that if the Bills leave, people will latch onto UB Football big time.
  7. Ill be rooting for them Thursday (and each subsequent game if they win) If they lose against Miami though, coaching staff should be fired immediately and maybe Nix. 3-7, 2-14 in last 16 Division games. ugh
  8. I moved back last year after 10 away. Love it.
  9. cant argue with him. It pretty much recites bold-faced stats that show that Patriots have dominated the Bills over the past 12 years. To his credit, he does note that the series wasnt always lopsided in the Pats' favor (a fact that chowder heads like to forget (or never saw)).
  10. excellent article. Really captured a lot of the region and the Bills. A+++
  11. im usually the first to scrap the list of overrated ND prospects, but I would agree with this guy. He possesses what this franchise is missing.... And the QB crop looks sketchy
  12. I have been pretty numb for about 3 seasons. I dont get down. I was even laughing and having a good time leaving the Tennessee and New England games. The highs are still high though.
  13. ^^^ As someone said, it is tough to compare 90s numbers to present. NFL football is way more popular, capacity is smaller, and the Bills have regionalized a great deal since then.
  14. I hated how the last half of Season 1 went, and hated the end. I did like the first half though and I wanted to give Season 2 a chance. So far through 3 episodes I like it a lot. Better than season 1 in every way IMO.
  15. who won the super bowl in 200?
  16. Brandon just pissed on the fire on WGR
  17. Im not 'done', however I am in a place where I look forward to the season and experience highs when they win. When they lose, I am not affected by it, disappointed, angry, etc... Its a good place. I am in the school of thought that thinks this will only change with new ownership/upper management.... However I am careful what I wish for because that new ownership could also mean that there would be no more Buffalo Bills.
  18. I would say Andy Reid wont be an Eagle any later than a week into 2013
  19. I dont see Brandon surrendering all football ops power nor Polian allowing Brandon to be involved.
  20. people just say that out of frustration. No real fan actually means it. On one hand it is good that there is "light at the end of the tunnel" and the team will have a new owner who probably will not be complacent with a losing organization. On the other, we have the uncertainty over our heads that the local ownership isnt out there nor welcomed by the NFL and we could be S.O.L. I know if I had certainty right now the team was staying, the losses would be much easier to accept. I think others feel that way too. If they left town, I would be done with NFL football. I would still watch the college game as I generally enjoy that product more. I think UB would also see a huge influx of fans and that could hopefully get interesting. If I had to pick an NFL team, I would naturally choose Cleveland. I would most likely root strongly against the team that was formerly the Buffalo Bills.
  21. I would. Technically we are doing that every year anyways. We usually are no-shows for the late season games (and preseason) and those tickets are impossible to get to go, let alone pay for. I am assuming the team would be better so we would probably desire to go to more games.
  22. They are breaking ground for a brand-new CFL Stadium that is only upgradeable to 40K. For the TiCats. No way in hell they allow a new NFL stadium to obsolete their shiny new investment.
  23. Hamilton is going to be breaking ground for a brand new 30,000 seat CFL stadium in a few weeks. Took them quite some time for the funding. I would bet they arent going to be willing to plop a competing stadium down at the same time
  24. Easy (items taken from original post) 1. Ralph Wilson (as an extension: Brandon Litty, and Overlord) 2. Nix 3. Head Coach 4. DC 5. QB 6. LBers 7. DL 8. Secondary 9. P 10. WR
