  1. when I hear people (idiot fans) B word and cry about McNabb... I always provide the response: "Id take him on the Bills any day of the week". All the guy does is win. He is tough and leaves blood on the field... a real competitor and leader.
  2. With knives, we should have carved Cowher's name on our chests for the Indy game.
  3. I dont think it is undisputed. Im disputing it. Boise State would have a shot at beating Alabama. They deserve a shot. Nobody thought they had a chance against the Sooners in the Fiesta Bowl a few years ago. Also, Utah smoked Alabama last season which was very unexpected. It is maddening to think about how awesome the bowl/playoff system in NCAA Football can be.
  4. The Bellagio has a great sports book
  5. I had to take work in the Philly/South Jersey area and I have been here for 3-4 years. It isnt bad at all. For a big city, the traffic and crowding isnt bad at all. You still get winter, but it is fairly mild. If you like to ski, some nice ski country 1 1/2 hours away. DC is close, NYC is close.... SOme awesome things to do in Philly as well. The Bills backers of Philly have great get togethers too at the Public House in Philly. Check them out. Oh yeah, the drive to Buffalo isnt bad at all. I still get to 4-5 Bills games and maybe 10 Sabres games.
  6. im not insulted... but I just dont get the humor at all...
  7. according to their fans they were screwed and the team did no wrong
  8. same thing with the Detroit Red Wings and also the Bills in the mid to late 90's. You almost need some bad years sprinkled in there. If the team is constantly at or near the top of the standings for long enough, a playoff game loses its luster for the fans.
  9. I agree with Pass The Pipe Russ Brandon is a poison to this team. Along with Overdorf and Littman. Ralph will never get rid of these clowns which makes him the ultimate poison. We will just continue to be jerked around until Ralph dies and we get the ultimate reward for sticking it out: The team will move to maximize Ralph's family fortune. I wish I was wrong. The Nix "hiring" and Brondon's "promotion" reinforces this. I was watching Peter King on PTI yesterday and he said flat out..... that A HC Candidate, high on teams' lists, flat out doesnt like the Nix hiring and that takes away from the attractiveness of the position. If Cowher signs here, I think that I will be completely proven wrong. It means they actually do want to win and were able to prove to Cowher that winning is the priority. I think the main reason we cannot land a good coach or GM is because winning isnt a large priority here. So I am not expecting it. Our new HC will just be someone desperate for a shot at HC.
  10. yes, but if the team isnt a pile of crap like it has been for more than a decade, the area is willing to support prices that are higher than they are currently charging.
  11. if we are talking about fairness. How is it fair to rip the hearts out of thousands and thousands of people? People who pack a stadium in a near blizzard with a subzero degree wind chill to watch a meaningless game may think this is not fair. For these people (us), these Sundays are a way of life...... And this billionaire punk thinks its fair to attempt to rip this team away from us. Why doesnt he go bother the NFL to add a couple expansion teams? As far as ticket prices go.... if the team is competitive, there is a lot of room to increase those prices.... Did anyone look at stubhub/ebay during the 1st 6 games last season?
  12. I did not want Cushing at the time. I did want them to make a choice from one of Oher or Orakpo though.
  13. Is "because it is cold" better for you? Brandon can run all the off field stuff. Decide how many bouncy houses should be in the field house on game day, determine where the merchandise trailers should be placed in the parking lot, maybe control some budgetary issues. However, as it is, he makes decisions that affect everything that happens on the field. He was the acting GM last year, he has been making these decisions for longer than people know, and he will continue to make them... despite the dog and pony shuffling of the chairs that occurred last week. This organization has been progressively getting worse in correlation with Brandon's influence and promotions. and to take it a step further, we have Overdorf and Littman who also make decisions that negatively affect a head coach who's objective is winning.
  14. our owner has entrusted a smarmy marketing sports management type to stick his nose in football decisions. Now actually he is running (ruining) the team. You think a coach in demand is going to want to accept input and possibly be overruled by Russ Brandon?
  15. I agree. That is concerning. i will not be a fan of this team if brandon is still acting as the GM
  16. no firings http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4794978

  18. Cowher is definitely coming to Buffalo to coach the Bills. Things change all the time, but from what I hear, he will be the head coach, unless he does not want the job, or the Bills do not make him an offer.
  19. It is a pretty fixed process. There is no leeway at all.
  20. yeah, an ACL tear is very painful for a short while, then doesnt hurt much... you can even put weight on it just minutes after, you just wont have much stability
  21. no way he can play next week with a ligament tear. I almost hope NE wins next week so they can get slaughtered vs Indy or San Diego
