  1. RIP Mike Greenwell
  2. The Pirates were the Bisons' parent club for a bit. Cleveland same thing with a long time AAA affiliations. Both cities (PIT and CLE) are a pretty close/easy drive. Personally, I started as a fan of the Indians in 1985... I think as a 7 year old I thought they were the closest team. They were terrible and I was drawn to that. It has been the perfect companion MLB team to the Bills and Sabres. Red Sox... I think a lot of people were drawn into the who curse thing. And it is/was anti-Yankees Oh yeah, I know several Braves fans too... but they were so good for so long and also the old days of "Superstation TBS" carrying all of their games nationally.
  3. I know a good number of Blue Jays fans locally Buffalo is a strange mix for MLB. It has nothing to do with hating cities (although my strong dislike of NYC adds to my dislike of the yankees). We probably have the most Yankees fans. We share the same state and each generation had a strong dynasty and it passed down and younger generations were rewarded with perpetually successful teams. Then comes the Mets, Indians, Blue Jays. Then Red Sox and Pirates.
  4. I don't get how he can be on 'thin ice'. How a billionaire owner would want to tolerate this (same goes with our hockey team as well). If I were Ross, I would act now. You install a team president. Not sure who is out there, but someone needs to be brought in and evaluate and fix the broken organization and culture. Grier should be gone right when a suitable replacement can be onboarded. Also, McDaniel should be out immediately. You don't lose anything by letting him go. This team isn't going to suddenly and magically change its trajectory. They have a dead hand and no use to just continue playing it. A new coach will better show who is worth keeping (and paying). You have to figure out what the hell Tua is. Installing Rex Ryan and expecting everyone to be suddenly motivated and everything fixed is only going to waste at least 2 more seasons.
  5. I just looked and you can get $12.50 tickets for the 10/15 game. Im sure they will get even lower next week
  6. You cant understate a young QB coming in and putting up that 2nd half in Buffalo. However, Diggs had that angry juice which helped a lot. They also had 2-4 amazing sideline catches (well placed throws I guess), but highlight/acrobatic catches to stay in bounds. Wasnt all impressed with his running, the Bills contained well and were all over him. If this was the Bills during the Brady era and Losman or someone did this in their 2nd season, we would be pretty high on this
  7. Its for when the game is secured and a celebration. Last night was not the right application
  8. Pats defense was really good. Bills 1 too many mistakes and it bit them in the ass. Launch those uniforms into the sun. Horrible experience. No idea what number was what.
  9. The job will be gifted to tim Kennedy. Wouldn't want to look past the hallway and out of the bubble
  10. The brightside thing (as far as the bills go) actually started at the perfect game and was organic. The Knox wedding thing made it more of a scheduled event
  11. I agree about that. Every loss will make things look bleaker by orders of magnitude. That Houston loss would also tick against them for a possible tie breaker (for a wild card). Then , can they beat the Rams and bears without Lamar (possibly)? If they dropped to 2-5 or 1-6, their margin for error would be very thin.
  12. Not a strong chance. I think the ESPN odds have them over 70%. Down a great deal from near certainty like they seemed to be. But they should be in. Would need Jax, NE, Indy, Pitt, and Denver to all surpass them (or stay past them I guess).
  13. My son is a big fan and I kind of adopted them as my NL team. Its the best atmosphere in baseball. For that alone I want them to advance. The world deserves an LA/san diego nlcs
  14. I think he has a point. I have been on both sides of it in my adult life
  15. These things normally fall flat with pro sports (other than Winnipeg). The problem is, I don't believe I own any white clothing
  16. This is a very big game. The Bills, by winning, could have a death grip on the AFC East and also nice drivers' seat for the AFC #1 seed through 5 games. Lose, suddenly the Patriots are 1 game back, with the tiebreaker, and a cakewalk for most of the season. It gives them life and confidence. Very, very important to take care of business at home on SNF
  17. Aaron Glenn might be the worst of the clown car of jets coaches
  18. No. He's a speed guy. Thats it. At his age he will never come close to being the same. He will probably get a few shots like obj
  19. At least they cant stupidly gift him to KC to smite the bills
  20. Id love to see a Mariners Padres WS (other than Cleveland of course)
  21. Basically what I expected. Best part was Jordan Phillips firing up the crowd for 5 minutes then taking out our best defensive player.
