Mario Williams: "Bills' personnel doesn't fit Scheme"
May Day 10 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a mess. This is anarchy. Pretty much all the worst parts of the bible -
Tyrod is the #1 FA pickup of 2015 per ESPN
May Day 10 replied to BuffaloHokie13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which game next season do you think they are going to raise the "mike sando espn insider choice of top fa pickup in 2015" banner? Steelers fans are probably furious deangelo williams is second -
It would be silly to put all the faith in Tyrod and go full steam ahead. This is what has gotten this team in this hole to begin with. Washington had RGIII and still got Cousins. Seattle piled on like 4 QBs until Russell Wilson turned out.

Well he is too short. He has trouble seeing on a normal quick dropback that pretty much every NFL QB lives by and it seems a lot of attempts get batted down by linemen. The long sideline passes are all well and good, but I fear that in year two, with enough data/film out, Taylor is going to be very ineffective. We better hope Watkins stays healthy too.

I thought The Shield was entertaining... but it was a bit off the wall, the characters were a bit inconsistent, and some of the acting was poor so I dont consider it up there with the top dramas. I have started watching the X Files. Never really caught more than a couple episodes. Really good show. Watched the first 8 episodes, only 1 dud.

Taylor is absolutely the QB of "now". However, they need to look high and low for their franchise QB. Taylor isnt it. He is physically unable to throw the ball in the middle of the field, he is limited. The running thing is awesome, but it isnt a sustainable model for a franchise QB.

Im saying that in light of tho OP saying the reason the Bills cant make the playoffs is they cant beat New England. I was just saying the schedule was filled with other teams the could have beat to get into the playoffs. I have given up long ago

I can't understand how people can defend any process or employee involved with football in any way at OBD.. it's like Stockholm syndrome. I don't think he is that bad, bUT whaley has failed as a gm. The results speak loudly. The coaches are not an external factor, they are on him and they are a trainwreck. Botched the qb position again. They actually walked into a season with ej, tuel, and thad lewis.

The guy in P. Brown's comments = one of the "changes"?

Right from the getgo ryan admitted there were communication issues in the colts and pats games -

The one/best thing recks had going for him was he is a players' coach and can get guys, especially on defense run through a wall for him. Here it appears that players are running through a wall to get away from him -
No more. I've been hearing this for too long. The current structure isn't getting better. They took a big step back and they werent that far to begin with. I don't want to see any more partial measures. It's time to bring in leadership and fix this thing once and for all.

It's not just rex imo. We need to also consider marrone choosing to walk the plank with a more critical eye. I wonder if he felt like he achieved 9-7 despite the organization and decided to cash the chips in. All this crap is chronic. Not new or surprising. -

This "communications" thing seems to have been a theme all season Backwards team. Maybe a "franchise quarterback" would improve the defensive communication issues -
I don't think any of the other teams have been as antiquated as the bills with so many 'lifers' who have carved out their spots of influence with little or no leadership for such a long period of time. We need someone from the outside to cleanse this mothball organization and evaluate every single process and individual involved with what is going on there. This team has finished in 3rd or 4th in a 4 team division that includes Miami and the jets something like 14 of 16 years... in a league with revenue sharing and a salary cap... they have now taken a large step back looking at where they were last year and the salary cap commitments they now have with 'results'. in terms of winning, who there is worth giving a pass or internal review by those who want to continue or expand the spots they have carved out. At this point I don't care if it's jerry glanville

Im thinking that Cowher may be a candidate for team president or "czar". He has stayed in the game covering it so is aware of the evolution of the sport, probably has a lot of contacts, has a lot of credibility, and also has been in a winning program. Maybe this different challenge would be appealing to him... and it also wouldn't require the 20 hour days coaches need to be successful. He was photographed with Pegula once too so its probably a done deal.

I hope you are right. IMO the biggest issue is the lack of real leadership on the football side of things for a long, long time. Fix that first and build the program. All this other chatter about Rex Ryan, Whaley, Mario, Tyrod, etc is just background noise/distractions. Plug one leak, change a couple things, and others will spring up.

if the Bills would have just won all their games and were a better team, they would have made the playoffs during the past 16 years.

NFL should change Draft order rules.

This is what I have been saying for the NHL to do and it would work in the NFL too. Make it a 3-year rolling average, and a team cannot select 1st overall for 2 consecutive years (I can be convinced to make it that they cant for 2 years after choosing 1st)... I cant see a team committing to tank for such a sustained period of time, especially if #1s were limited and they would be identifying a target who is really young and have no idea who declares as a junior and whatnot (3 years down the road). Plus you wouldnt have the Colts' situation that was... lets face it, a travesty. 12 years of Peyton Manning, one bad year... 15 years of Luck. -
Mike tears Beckham/Giants in new one
May Day 10 replied to gomper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its a culmination of this guy being permitted to get away with a ton of stuff for the last 2 years. He is a prima donna and thought he could get away with anything. -
Should have beat nyg, jax, was, phi... maybe even the big game vs kc. There's 11 wins with dallas and nyj still to play
