I was reviewing Sportac for the Bills available cap space and with only Josh Allen and Harrison Phillips unsigned (monies are built in based on draft choice slotting) leaving the Bills with around 10 Million plus left. First, as of June 1st what happens to the cap space when Eric Woods retirement goes into effect? Do the Bills gain or lose a little cap space along with picking up a roster spot. If we gain some additional cap money how might you suggest we move forward to player additions. Your thoughts and feedback are always appreciated.

Zane Beadles was cut by the San Francisco 49ers. Is 31, would be a low cost addition to the offensive line and provide back-up depth at both guard and tackle. This would allow the Bills to start Groy at center, possibly a guard combo of Miller, Beadles and Ducasse as we bring Teller along. Dawkins, Mills, Newhouse and McDermott at T. Solid line with depth when we include Bodine. thoughts?

Looking at the draft and undrafted free agents and the current roster make-up does the board think we need to add any available free agents. I would like to look at three positions: LB OL WR I'm wondering if we will bring in Navarro Bowman for a visit. He would add experience and help Tremaine Edmunds development. I would also bring in Jabhari Evans to add experience to the interior of the offensive line. Lastly, I would see if Dez Bryant has the type of skills remaining to add anything as an outside WR. Since we have money for maybe two of the three after June 1st, who would you readers of this post recommend?

Phillip Gaines, FA played in KC last year.

Great draft. Love all the picks except McCloud, as I don't see the value in where he was selected, but can return punts and could be jack of all trade kinda guy. I also would have preferred another linebacker at that point. Overall I like the make-up of the team, watched a lot of film on Allen and have grown more impressed with each video I watch. Would like the Bills to possibly consider giving Navarro Bowman a call to add experience to the LB corp.

Still think we could add a linebacker to the final 53, maybe a Navarro Bowman to help in the middle.

Matt Waldman's film study of Josh Allen
RPbillsfan replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How is Josh Allen in any way comparable to Jay Cutler. If your talking arm strength maybe that's the only area I see. Allen looks like he is a natural leader, hard working, involved and dedicated, none of those attributes were ever part of Jay Cutler's persona. Sorry, really don't see the comparison -
After a great draft and signing of undrafted free agents here is my first take on the final 53 man roster we will see for the start of the season: QB : McCarron, Allen, Peterman RB - McCoy, Ivory, Caderet, DiMarco WR - Benjamin, Jones, Streeter, Holmes, Foster, McDonald, Prohel TE - Clay, O'Leary, Thomas, Lee G/C - Miller, Duchasse, Teller, Groy, Bodine T - Dawkins, Newhouse, Mills, McDermott ST - Haucheska, Ferguson, Schmidt DT - Lutulii, Williams, Phillips, Washington DE - Hughes, Murphy, Lawson, Yarborough OLB - Milano, Humber, Stanford, Alexander ILB - Edmunds, Vallejo CB - White, Davis, Johnson, Gaines, Wallace S - Hyde, Poyer, Neal, Bush I'm assuming we may pursue depth at MLB and possible get rid of TE Lee or move McDonald or Proehl to the practice squad. Your thoughts and feedback as always are welcome

Probable QB Drop based on rumors
RPbillsfan replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Until what? -
As we get closer to draft night it appears that the QB's are starting to drop as their true value against other players on the board start to solidify. I'm going to predict that Browns at 1 and Jets at 3 take at QB. If that is the case teams that are QB needy such as Buffalo and Arizona may not move up and with Miami the other QB possibility between 4 and Buffalo leaves the Bills in a great position. As of today I see the Browns taking Darnold and the Jets taking Rosen. Assume no QB choices are made or trades made between picks 4-10. What happens next?

Buffalo should get WR Bryant, Martavis that is.
RPbillsfan replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills looked at getting him in 2017, why would they need pursue this now. So, I thing I'll move the thread forward, hope you don't mind. In fact I really don't care what you happen to think as most of your posts and takes are idiotic anyways. -

I'd offer pick 96 now and see if the Steelers bite, if not offer 65. He represents the outside speed receiver the Bills need. Salary for 2018 is perfect and if things work out well the Bills have the cap space for new contracts for Benjamin and Bryant in 2019 and beyond. -
Tannehill on contract for 8.8 million this year, but cap hit is huge as they took his salary in 2018 and restructured as bonus money which massively increases his cap hit in 2019 and 2020. But Dolphins are so screwed up they would take a QB at 11 and have him sit the bench with gaping holes in their current roster.
-
Why in gods name would we want Josh Allen. He is very inaccurate, has terrible footwork, is indecisive in the pocket and makes horrendous reads and is of absolutely no value in 2018. Plus if we give up picks that could fill the craters of holes we have on our current roster we are doomed to a two to three year rebuild. Hopefully your totally wrong and we can keep all of our picks and rebuild our roster

6 QB's off the board by pick 16
RPbillsfan replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have you watched any game film of Lamar Jackson. Your post shows me you haven't. Would you prefer Josh Allen? Talk about not being ready to play. Rosen and Darnold are out of our range due to the cost of moving up and the holes on the roster. Mayfield is the wildcard, he could drop to 12, if it's a choice between the two I think the Bills would take Mayfield, I wouldn't but he has met with the Bills a number of times. My bottom line is I'm not trading up, I need the picks to rebuild my roster to fill the holes we have. -
It's looking more and more like Allen, Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, Jackson and Rudolph go with the first 16 picks. My thoughts are Allen to the Browns, Darnold to the Giants, Rosen to the Jets, Mayfield to Broncos, Jackson to the Bills and Rudolph to the Ravens. I'm thrilled if this happens. Bills get the best athlete with the highest upside in this draft. Can he start in 2018, no, can he play in specific packages during games to add something else to game plan for, absolutely yes. The secondary benefit with 6 QB's going first many top players will slip to our spot at 22. With holes at MLB, OLB, WR, Interrior Offensive line, 3 technique DT, Slot Corner, OT and RB we have exactly 8 picks remaining. Lets use this draft wisely and fill our roster.

Buffalo needs, not wants in the draft
RPbillsfan replied to Tatonka68's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For one thing, a rookie QB will be on the bench in 2018, so no immediate contribution. If we waste more draft choices in moving up, we will be weak at whichever positions we don't fill, dooming us to a horrid losing season, possible no top pick in 2019 and send us on our way to another set of losing seasons to be followed by more misery and despair. There is no guarantee that Rudolph of Jackson will be worse then, equal to or even better then any of the top 4. Of the top 4, who would you select and start with a Barron roster which lacks a solid offensive line, WR targets and that has gaping holes in the middle of our defense. Please answer these questions in your next post. -
Updated Mock with RI Retirement
RPbillsfan replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Vander Esch and Warner along with Milano give us a Versitale and fast LB group. Brandon Smith is a day 1 starter at guard. Trading for Bryant and drafting Washington gives us speed on the outside to go along with Benjamin and Thornton will be the KW replacement getting meaningful snaps this year. Noteboom has good size, quick feet and needs a year in the weight room to add strength before he can truly contribute. Johnson is a slot corner type with speed and fluid hips who can also play outside. I love Rudolph and think he will develop into a very solid starter for many years with the Bills. So I think this draft allows us to stay playoff competitive in 2018 and develop talent for the future. -
New needs and therefore a new Mock Draft. Pick 12 - Mason Rudolph - QB Pick 22 - Leighton Vander Esch - MLB Pick 53 - Brandon Smith - G Pick 56 - James Washington - WR Pick 65 - Trenton Thompson - DT Pick 96 - Traded to Steelers for Martavas Bryant 4th Round - Fred Warner - LB 5th Round - Joseph Noteboom -OT 6th Round - Taron Johnson - CB

Trade idea with new needs based on RI retirement
RPbillsfan replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Top pick 2nd round is 550 points, Bills pick 20 for example is 800. This would be a fair deal. -
Ok, big blow losing the anchor of our offensive line. So looking at things based on current needs I suggest making the following trade offer to the Browns. The Bills trade 2019 1st round pick for Cleveland's 33 and 64 picks in the 2nd round and a 3rd in 2019. This would leave the Bills the following: 2018 Picks 12, 22, 33, 53, 56, 64, 65, 96, 121, 167, 188 2019 one second, two thirds, two Forths, a fifth, sixth and two seventh This year 8 picks in day one and two We can load up on top talent with youth and manageable salaries and a huge cap number for 2019.

Then leave the board and don't come back. Bye, get lost and go troll on another site loser.

Brandon beane the new Tim Murray?
RPbillsfan replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, well it seems you have an obvious man love for Baker Mayfield and you go off and do a preliminary whine and B word while the front office dumps players who were salary cap space wasters in the attempt to bring order to the teams roster. Hope after the Bills have a bountiful harvest of new talent with 6 picks in the top 95 you become a fan of the team that selects your man Baker and permanently leave this board to actual Bills fans. -
I'm in agreement, no one in this draft has more tools. He will be picked ahead of Mayfield and possibly Allen. Before you shoot us down, please review his game film and watch how he moves his feet in the pocket and keeps his weight balanced when forced to look at secondary targets. Plus he was trained in a much more complex offensive system then the others and has more "under center" snaps then anyone in the "top 4". I like Rosen but am concerned about durability, Darnold has smaller hands and may be seriously turnover prone, Mayfield is short and may have difficulty in picking out targets and Allen is literally so flawed I can't imagine him being a top 10 pick.
