  1. Once I figured out you could vote only for Bills players and not have to complete the entire ballot, it was easy.
  2. PK also suggests the Patriots and Eagles, both of whom Buffalo has beaten, for the mantle of "second-best team in the NFL."
  3. I can't think of a good team that would want to carry such an albatross right now. The guy comes with a fan base that wants, nay demands him to play. The minute the starter falters these yahoos will be out in full force again. Let him take his lumps and if he can't handle it, then he can't handle the NFL. Period.
  4. Regardless of who it was, if he thought that the state of New York was going to exempt him from taxes just because "the contract was signed in Florida"...well, maybe it WAS McGahee because only someone from the U could have thought something so ridiculous was true.
  5. Yes, if I were him. But if I had been IN HIS SITUATION, I would have come here.
  6. Three games, because in order to get ahead of us in the standings you would have to win an extra game due to losing the head-to-head.
  7. Truer words were never spoken. You all remember what Belichick's Jets D did to Flutie in '98, right? I think the final was 34-12. I would say to wait until week 15 when Belichick gets his shot at Tebow, but someone will figure him out before then.
  8. This. If you don't think Shawne Merriman was being played differently than Aaron Maybin is, you're watching the wrong games. I doubt offensive coordinators spend a fifth of the time on countering Maybin as they do Merriman. We drafted him to be Shawne Merriman. He's not. He fills a niche role in New Jersey very well, but he was never going to do that here and satisfy people. Let's just let it go.
  9. The guy is absolutely right. Some things IS just funny. Reminds me of Hogboy in the good old days. Whoever Jimmy Spags is, we need more of this.
  10. Always thought we might have won Super Bowl XXIII, or at least played in it, if he hadn't punched Tim McGee in the AFC Championship Game in '88. Although that phantom facemask against Bruce probably had more to do with it. Let's not forget that the trade that REALLY got the greatest era off the ground was the one that sent OJ to San Francisco in 1978. That's the one that netted us the pick we used on Cousineau in 1979, whose rights we traded to Cleveland in 1983 for the pick we used on Jim Kelly.
  11. So, not to bump this up or anything, but this was TMQ's take:
  12. I believe he's on the Wall. He needs to be in Canton too.
  13. Might it also be possible that because he is so "good," the refs tend to focus on other parts of the play, knowing that the likelihood of the ball coming Revis' way is slim? Hence he would be able to do a lot more extracurricular stuff because the ref wouldn't be looking as often as he would if it were, say, McKelvin.
  14. I have to ask: is it not possible that Webster also had to slow down and come back to the ball and, having the inside, was in perfect position for the INT both times? Stevie is a good receiver, yes, but you rarely see him "5 or 6 yards past" any cornerback.
  15. And 25-yard passes.
  16. Actually Losman wouldn't have finished the game because Wilfork would have blown out his knee with a dirty hit. "so lol"
  17. Different situation. They weren't in scoring range and were already ahead.
  18. He did have one play that looked like a designed pass, but the receiver was covered today.
  19. He may have just found a way.
  20. Sure it is. If you think Fitz can make that throw and that the first one was an aberration. Fitz lacked zip on a lot of his passes today, not just those two. Yes, he had a few nice bullets, but overall he had a poor throwing day. Just playing the odds, I thought it was a bad call today. Maybe in another day his arm looks better and you make that call with confidence.
  21. Man I'm just hoping Romo doesn't find a way to f this up.
  22. Point is, he already hadn't. It's like a catcher calling for a fastball in a critical spot when he knows the pitcher's gassed. You need to know what your guy can do AT THAT TIME and call your game around it.
  23. Fitz had already underthrown the same ball earlier, resulting in an INT. If this was Chan's call, I blame him. Players are supposed to execute, yes, but coaches are supposed to put players in positions to succeed. That call did not play to Fitz's strength.
  24. This. Twice.
  25. Okay from now on maybe we should just have four or five threads on the main board. Sorry you were inconvenienced.
