  1. You mean as long as people realize it's hard to win in the NFL?
  2. He's just mad that we have an NFL team and he still doesn't. And to be quite honest, he knows damn well that with every win, the chances of the Bills ever moving to LA become even more remote.
  3. I think the point is that we're all used to seeing Jim Kelly around town -- at Bills games, at concerts (I've seen him stageside for Springsteen and Van Halen), lots of places. I mean, we'd probably still say "Dude, that's Jim Kelly!" but not out of shock that he would actually be seen in public with normal people.
  4. Folks, even if we win the Super Bowl it'll be "well, it was a weird season because of the lockout. You can't really tell if the Bills are any good unless they win in a year when everyone had a full training camp." Bet on it.
  5. Not only that, wasn't it his old buddy Donahoe who wrecked all the sustainability and stability that Butler left behind?
  6. This. The point is that Belicheat had to prepare for it and there's no doubt in my mind that he thought, or feared, that the Wildcat was going to be a bigger part of our offense on Sunday. I love that we beat that f'er straight up.
  7. Just replying to the OP's contention that his record as DC AND HC pre-Brady spoke for itself. His record as DC, yes. His record as HC speaks for itself too, but makes quite a different point.
  8. Belichick's HC record... Without Brady: 52-62. (This includes 0-2 with Bledsoe in 2001 before Brady became the starter and the 11-5 season with Cassel.) With Brady: 150-78. Any questions? The man has always been a great DC. He wasn't jack as an HC until Brady got there.
  9. Except Kelly was most definitely in his 30s when he chased AJ Johnson of the Falcons down after a pick and ended the guy's career in the process.
  10. Brushes aside Dungy's remarks on the Bills just now and says he likes the Raiders (who were just beaten by who, Rodney?) but won't pick the Raiders to beat an "angry Patriots* team" next week.
  11. Like I said in another thread, it brought back memories of Danny Boy stomping off the field while the interceptor sailed right past him.
  12. When they got rid of the overpriced, overrated deadwood: Edwards. Lynch. McCargo. Posluszny. Whitner. Maybin. And yes, sorry to say: Evans. The guys here now? They earned the right to be here. They want to be here. I used to think there were better guys on the street than our GMs brought in. Nix changed that. I also used to think there were better guys on the sidelines than our coaches were playing on the field. Gailey changed that.
  13. Yup. Marcia pulled a Danny Boy on that one.
  14. Won't believe it til I see pics.
  15. I think WE should all grow beards! Not the ladies, though, of course.
  16. That is a good point about Fitz. Didn't he start his career as Warner's teammate? We've had a lot of QBs here who have locked onto one guy. Fitz is the first in ages who really spreads the ball around.
  17. Think of it this way: an NFL RB really has only a finite number of carries in his body. I'm glad Fred didn't waste them on those teams.
  18. I am not ashamed to admit that the thought of "oh my god they DID find a new way to lose" crossed my mind fleetingly. It reminded me of the Darick Holmes fumble at the goal line in SF years back. But the thought disappeared as quickly as it came. This is a new era.
  19. Boomer's last memory of the Bills is still looking up and seeing Bruce about to knock him into the Middle Ages. I still smile when I think about that.
  20. And he can blow it out his ass because he got whatever he wanted from the refs for ten years against us. This doesn't even begin to even the score.
  21. Har de har har har. Actually, what id like to see is some of those arrogant !@#$s come over here like they used to. Haven't seen much of that this afternoon.
  22. Thanks for the help, but it was a rhetorical question.
  23. I'd like to wallow in some schadenfreude.
  24. Hernandez was out...Chung was out...their RT was out...blah blah blah whatever. Welker had the game of his life and we still won.
