  1. Terrible by the refs there, overlooking a flag THEY threw. The rule makes no sense. I'd wager they just made it up.
  2. I might be selfish here, but I hope he was scoring for the team.
  3. Or he could focus on the game.
  4. Okay, I'll bite. Anyone else think David Nelson looked like a fool handing the TD ball to his girlfriend? I can see it if you're winning big or if you're at least playing like you belong on the same field with your opponent. But down 21-0 and getting absolutely strafed? Unprofessional. Sorry to be a wet blanket, but I cringed. I'm surprised the Cowboys didn't hand every scoring ball to her after that.
  5. I understand that, but I now hate the Jets more. Ergo, my decision is easy.
  6. I don't understand it. They called Brady for grounding and a safety. I'm sure there's a rule against that somewhere.
  7. Stevie had the inside on the slant, but he hardly had separation. And the way he's been dropping passes, I'm not sure he was the best option anyway.
  8. I would have gone for it, just as I would have gone for it on fourth and short today. You know your D can't stop what's coming anyway, so why voluntarily give them the ball? No problem with the decision. The play call was stupid, though.
  9. I wish posters wouldn't take the names of all-time Bills greats if they're going to be d*cks.
  10. Many Cubs fans are also fans of the Bears ('85 SB), Bulls (six NBA titles), and Blackhawks ('09 Stanley Cup). So, no.
  11. I know it has become fashionable to say that we should never blame the refs and that we should just focus on getting good enough so that bad calls won't matter. But any objective viewing of yesterday's game would yield three observations: (1) we did not play up to our potential; (2) the Jets had a better game plan than we did; and, yes, (3) every questionable call while the game's outcome was still in doubt went in the Jets' favor, to the tune of the very 17 points by which we lost the game. As badly as we played, and as well-prepared as the Jets were, if this game had been fairly called there is a very good chance that it would have come down to the final seconds, if not overtime. And I think that if the Jets don't realize this, they're going to be in for a serious can of whoop-a$$ in three weeks. Unless Hochuli and his crew get the game again, that is.
  12. Of course, it didn't matter because there was about a 10-minute commercial break that allowed the Jets time to mix drinks, change into slippers and a bathrobe, review the call and make the challenge before we could snap the ball.
  13. Except it wasn't a hold, but carry on.
  14. Fat Rex had Maybin going after a sack the entire fourth quarter and he was still unable to get to the QB.
  15. I have a feeling Sexy Rexy trolls forums very different than this one.
  16. I doubt anyone thinks he asked for it. Everybody knows the other thing, though.
  17. This. I tell you what, I miss Schobel a lot more than I do Mitchell.
  18. My guess is that there isn't a bar or a pizza joint within 20 miles of Spags that you could call "unVinceable."
  19. No...when we win the sun comes out. When we lose everything sucks, including the weather,
  20. Fixed.
  21. If his crew loves to call penalties, I think that benefits us more than the Jests.
  22. Except we only wore them when we played Miami. Come to think of it, I loved them too. We had a pretty good record in them at home as I recall.
  23. At least his trial won't take place until after the Patriots'* season is over.
  24. Greg Cook and Speedy Thomas. Jacky Lee and Bill Groman. Well that settles it, Dalton and Green are headed for the Hall of Fame!
