This is why peripheral statistics are way more useful in football in terms of making predictions than in other sports. I guarantee you that Vegas sharps don't see a 9-6 team when they look at the Bills.

I tend to think that in the game of limited resources that is the NFL salary cap you don't use 1st round picks on a receiver when 1) You already have a top-5 WR in the league and 2) Your QB is capable of getting really good seasons out of players who would look like JAG on other rosters.
