  1. Rule of thumb is not to blitz if you don't need to. We've sacked the QB nine times over the last two games using a standard 4-man rush (primarily...Sheppard got one on a blitz package).
  2. Every time I looked at Levitre on a running play, he had made it to the second level. This is looking like a stud O-line.
  3. Choice certainly had holes to run through. Mind you, the pass protection might be even more impressive. Three games. Zero sacks.
  4. Well! I'm far too stoic for something silly like having fun.
  5. Not to be a snot (well, too much of a snot ) but, why? There was probably some pimple faced intern in charge of the cues who didn't understand that the show was allowed to go 15 minutes long. And even if it was the festival being douches, performers play by the rules of the venue. Not the other way around. It's easy to throw a hissy fit when you have a big enough name for said hissy fit to not cripple your chances of landing another gig.
  6. You might want to rethink this. Do you want your first date with this girl to end with you in a heap on the floor after Phil Dawson kicks a 61 yard game winning field goal?
  7. Yeah man, silly Jets...it's almost like they're trying to get their athletes to be in peak condition or something! Idiots.
  8. Stupid rant. Football results aren't ever worth getting that worked up over. There is truly horrible stuff in the world if you feel the need to be that angry.
  9. You might "know", but she certainly doesn't. What's the point of a relationship where one person is willing to move heaven and earth and the other person isn't? That doesn't spell long term happiness for the pursuer.
  10. Many people seem to think that being outraged is a virtue in and of itself.
  11. I'm of the philosophy that a QB is just another player on the field. So, in that sense, anybody who receives the snap should have to be touched down.
  12. On a similar note, I saw Tyson Clabo utterly failing in the run game yesterday during MNF.
  13. The road aspect (over a year without a road win, I believe) concerns me. Trap game? This doesn't seem like a group to get cocky and look past an opponent.
  14. 1) Fans of every team claim "best in the world" status. 2) If the Bills ever win the Superbowl, I will be happy as a clam, but it will certainly not be my personal success.
  15. I think it's 13 touchdowns, 12 with two-point conversions tacked on. The 13th is an extra point, drop kicked through the uprights by Fitz after he fumbles the snap.
  16. Not that this trend will continue to such an extreme measure, but I do believe the NFC is the significantly better conference this year. The Niners, Packers and Falcons might be the league's three best teams, the Giants are wearing SB rings, and even last season's doormat teams (Rams, Skins, Cards, Vikes) are looking like upstarts. So to sum up, is this an ideal season for the Bills to throw off the no-playoffs yoke?
  17. This is fantastic, dude. Did you come up with that? The Snow Plow. I friggin love it.
  18. I'm still laughing whenever I think about it. http://i.imgur.com/PjQHv.png
  19. My favorite stat thus far is zero sacks allowed. I've seen enough terrible O-line play that last year was a treat and this year is a damn delight.
  20. Funny thing is, while we discuss the merits of BB opting for a 42 yarder over the chance at a 35 yarder, Gostkowski probably would have hit the upright on an extra point with that kick.
  21. I've always wondered - are pandas just really really bad at !@#$ing? Or what? Why is it such a monumental effort to get 'em knocked up?
  22. Maybe there are more nuances than I estimated, but if Belichick felt Gostkowski was a 90% shot from that distance, he was wrong. 69.7% from the 40-49 distance over the guy's career. And if you want to take Gillette/Away, 7 out of his 14 misses from that distance have been at home. I see your point...I would have tried to advance the ball. In either case, a supposed sports expert like Simmons should dig into the numbers before reacting.
  23. I think you're right. Field goals are hit exponentially more often as you get closer, whereas fumbles occur at roughly the same 2% clip no matter where you are on the field. From the nebulous 40 yard range, trying to gain an extra 5-10 yards is a no brainer.
  24. Whoever had Spiller, Bush, Lynch, Gore and Ridley as the top 5 rushers, raise your hand. Anybody?
