  1. Absolutely. I mean, would you want to be the casting director who said no to him? RIP big dude.
  2. Just don't do these things in reverse order. Or maybe...hmm. I'm torn.
  3. ^ Reason #3,442 that the NFL should have minor league affiliates.
  4. Leave the bluster for the Jets. My 6 year old nephew knows that bad attention is worse than no attention.
  5. Now that they've surely shut down production of the shirt, part of me wants to own one for novelty value.
  6. Maybe Skyler was reading it and Walt didn't realize. Or maybe Flynn went emo and left it there. The point is solvent, though. You can be careful to the point of murdering 9 inmates and a book can take you down.
  7. Thanks Paatmaann Tough to say how much money it was, but it was enough to finally satiate Walt's hunger. As he stated, Grey Matter is now worth billions. Suffice it to say the pile of money was...a lot haha. Hank's a smart guy. He knows this is a chess match and he knows the best thing he can do is to keep Walt unaware of his knowledge for the time being. That means keeping it secret from Marie, Walt Jr. and Skyler (ha!) too. He'll probably tell Gomez and they'll conduct an investigation on their own. We pretty much know that the government higher-ups would say "Ok, you have a book with a note in it. Get back to !@#$ing work."
  8. Thoughts on last night's finale... http://www.entertainment-bureau.com/breaking-bad-review-episode-5-08-gliding-over-all/2969 Thanks for reading, all. I'll be back with these next summer of course!
  9. It's a move I support, though he seems like a solid guy. Champions don't keep $4 million players when comparable talent is available for minimum wage.
  10. No freakin' way KW is the 3rd best DT in his own division.
  11. Noted, but the spirit of the "gadget guy" (Wes Welker started this way) is that they open up roster spots and do a serviceable job at a number of positions. My contention is that B. Smith has been subpar at each position he can supposedly play at an NFL level. Quarterback? Pick-six immediately. Returner? Pretty big sample size this preseason and I think I saw him advance it past the 20 only once. And a fumble. Receiver? Had one big shot yesterday and he didn't even lay out for the ball. Among the fringe receivers, Aiken, Easley, Roosevelt and Hagan all looked better than him.
  12. And destroyed a relatively healthy Bills team prior to that. But it's the NFL and "results may vary". I'm 60% confident the Bills win Week 1.
  13. Yes, except...I just don't know if his quality of play at ANY of those positions merits a roster spot.
  14. Ah, American political discourse. Where a man reaching across the aisle to shake hands immediately has it slapped away.
  15. craiglist MINERALS, Marie.
  16. Get well soon, good sir. "Do not go gentle into that good night."
  17. I'm torn. A lot of teams have success using this formula, but the Bills have such a long tradition of scoring fewer points. Don't change horses midstream, I say.
  18. I always figured it was a love triangle thing.
  19. Life must be a big party for my Connecticut friends who work in NYC.
  20. It's about narrative. It's obvious enough that Mike can't have killed Walt in that moment. It would have ruined the show. But it's the perpetual responsibility of the writers, producers, directors and actors to form a cogent narrative. That is, every action means something and every action makes sense. If we take it as a rule (and we have) that Mike can't kill Walt 9 episodes before the show ends, then they can't write a moment where he has the perfect means, motive and opportunity to do so. The man was wounded, but not so much so that he couldn't have lifted a gun and pulled the trigger. After all, he managed to crawl away from the car.
  21. An interesting thought on Walt's self-described "empire business" - there hasn't been an empire in world history (ie. any organization that aimed at boundless expansion) that didn't eventually fold under its own weight.
  22. So why can't he stick with a team? You'd think NFL GMs and coaches would know he's the underrated guard in the league.
  23. Even that won't necessarily protect him.
