It probably has to do with the price. I've done some checking because I have wondered what the 'free covid tests' were really costing the goverment. I found one study that shows the largest percentage in their study (30%) ranged in the $100-$149 category. So lets assume between players, coaches and staff, an NFL team needs to test 100 personnel (which I think is probably close, but low-ish). $149 per test * 100 people = $14,900 per day $14,900 * 7 days = $104,300 per week $104,900 * 18 weeks = $1,877,400 per regular season $1,877,400 * 32 teams = $60,076,800 per regular season league wide And I'm sure these costs don't scratch the surface of everything else that goes into testing, same day results, supplies, handling, reporting, doctors, etc...

The screen, short pass and sweep plays to Najee Harris will be a big factor in this game. Shut that down early, and the game becomes more one dimensional. If Pitt has success early, watch out.. There is no doubt they are going to be a top 10 D. Lots of smash mouth football coming. We still haven’t seen the new TEs yet in the offense. NE has been “hiding” them. I’m going to have the Miami game on a second screen opening week. Should be interesting to see the match up.

I went and watched their 3rd preseason game when Ben and Najee were in. Ben threw a beautiful bomb on one play and Najee can catch the ball. Should be a good test for both teams.

I was hoping to get another gilmpse of him in the 3rd preseason game. Giving him the keys to the car without a real drivers test is interesting. So far he looks real good in the limited reps I have seen. Gets a real test right out the gate with that Panther's defense.
