Was listening to some talking heads this AM about this subject. Will be very interesting to see what the Chargers do on Sunday night when the playoffs are on the line. If analytics says 4th and less than 1 go for it, will he, or will he take the 3pts? Me thinks all the arguments pro and con in here will be on display in this game.

I would say playing 6 out of 8 real games in it constitutes "practicing" in it. Bills will be fine.

From everything I have heard/read, I think your summary got it right. He was mad that Gronk was getting all the targets, was playing on a bum ankle and decided that if they were not going to increase his targets, then why risk further injury.

I was going to say, Josh's biggest hits are when he is scrambling BEHIND the line of scrimmage. He is running away and doesn't see a guy track him down. For the most part, QBs are pretty well protected in the pocket these days. Where Kelly would have had his knees blown out, high and low hits are now flagged. Most of the time DE/DTs just two hand push down QBs now in the pocket. Still would hurt, but better than having a 280lb man run full speed into your knees with your legs planted. When Josh is running, he is also a threat to the little DBs that stand in his way, and they know it. In one of his runs this week he stiff armed a DE and then planted a shoulder in the DB trying to stop him.

During the Superbowl era for the Bills, the Bills were always the first team to play. I loved that. Game over, ticket punched to next round, and then enjoy the other games. I want 1p on Saturday.

Allen is the only one with a Passing, Rushing and Receiving TD. So clearly better 🙂

Interesting tidbit about the schedule flex. With Chiefs playing Saturday and Cincy 1p Sunday, the Bills could be playing for both the Division crown and Number 2 Seed and they would know it before kickoff. And even crazier a NE win at Miami and losses by Buffalo, KC and Tenny makes NE #1 seed. Long shot for sure, but so is Boyd catching a long TD pass on 4th and 10 in the waning seconds from Dalton to beat Baltimore.

Well yeah, since they let Matt Barkley walk.

Was wondering what it was going to take for the Phins to get into the playoffs. They are alive but only need this improbable series of events to occur per the Miami Herald. Denver winning or ties Chargers today AND THEN THIS: A Miami win against New England; and a Cincinnati win at Cleveland; and a Chargers win at Las Vegas; and a Cleveland win at Pittsburgh Monday night; and a Pittsburgh win at Baltimore next Sunday.

The afterglow: 1. Can you believe a team got a safety, won the turnover battle to 4-1, held a QB to a 17 QBR and lost by 14 points? 2. QB1 had a weird game. Awesome on 3rd down, not awesome on other throws. 3. How about Bass doinking one in? 4. I hate the roughing the passer call and the unevenness of its call on the field. 5. Glad Diggs is okay. Hope Bates is.. Don't want to be thin at the OLine when the playoffs are two weeks out. 6. Gabe Davis makes unbelievable catches on the sideline. 7. I almost think JA17's tough day was a blessing in disguise as it forced Daboll to adjust the game plan. And then Motor motored. 8. Oliver is developing nicely. If he could only avoid that late QB hit which he seems to make in big moments once per game. 9. 2 razzle dazzle plays in this game fizzled (Diggs pass and pass to Dawkins) 10. Knox was nearly invisible in this game. 11. Glad to see Moss gets some good runs in too. 12. The Matt Ryan taunting call was beyond stupid and lost them any chance of coming back in the game. Inexcusable for someone of his stature. 13. Pitts is the real deal.

Two of the biggest developments today was KC losing #1 seed and Burrows getting hurt late in that game. Not sure how serious yet, but he was limping
