I can see Nate going Chiefs. I can see Cowher who loves Defense going Bills. Phil probably goes Bills as his son picked Buffalo. So I think it will be 3-1

Just got to see the JA17 interview on Pat McAfee show. I absolutely love Pat's show. It raw and crude and let's dude's be dudes. No filters. Allen always comes across as such a normal, likeable, self-deprecating dude. I like Pat's crew all has different rooting interests and they play off of that all the time.

My Friday thoughts: 1. Allen v. Mahomes, a case study for future generations. 2. Burrows will be sacked three or more times on Saturday 3. How come no one is talking about the cold temperature in Green Bay at kickoff? Could be sub 10 degrees.. Not a peep. 4. Suddenly OBJ has 6 touchdowns. This has to be an enormous indictment of Cleveland/Baker. 5. Really curious to see if Henry has wheels. 6. Normally I would have zero interest in watching Tennessee-Cincinnati, but... 7. I will be pulling hard for San Fran. I want Brady. It has to be Brady for the cleansing of the soul. That man is due a beatdown by a Buffalo team. 8. I hope Haack and TBass had a good week of practice. More than a little concerned about the health of the kicking game. 9. Hyde should be used on all punt returns 10. Sorenson, we see you....

My Thursday thoughts: 1. I think I have reached my personal saturation point of talking heads, youtube videos and outside prognostications. 2. I truly believe no one in America knows how this game will go. Every scenario seems possible. 3. Is it just me, or do you sense a shift of ex-New England players siding with Buffalo? It's almost as if, well if they did that to us, they must be great. 4. I finally rewatched the game yesterday. It didn't come close to the euphoria I felt while it was happening live. 5. I have a neon, red-white and blue sign with the Bills logo. I have it in my bay window for all my neighbors to see. It's on 24/7 these days. I live on a corner lot, so I naturally see and talk to my neighbors a lot when they are on their walks. Everyone in this Ravens neighborhood knows we are Bills fans. There is evidence everywhere. Magnets on cars, flags flying. I light my backyard up in red-white and blue for all to see. 6. I think it's time for Poyer to match the game changing play of Micah from last weekend. I'll go with a strip sack fumble that results in a TD. 7. We all know Josh is changing the national narrative with his play. But for him to truly be on par with 15, he has to take him down on the biggest of stages. Loser go home, winner goes on. 8. I'm taking Tennessee in a romp against the Bengals. I think the Bengals DLine is too thin at the moment. 9. I'm taking Green Bay over San Fran. Warner and Bosa being hurt is a significant deficit to overcome against a top-tier QB1. 10. As well as the Rams played last weekend on Defense, they were not facing the dink and dunk GOAT. Best way to neutralize the LA speed is to short pass them to death. And as soon as they start creeping up to the line, then unleash the Gronk downfield. The same formula that has worked forever with TB12.

Bills in a statement win.

Of course I watched him. It was John Madden's game seemingly every week. I never said he doesn't belong in the HOF. I said we don't need to open EVERY broadcast with that reminder.

<rant on> Joe Buck ALWAYS saying "and that's the Hall of Famer, Troy Aikman" is like nails on a chalk board for me. Yeah Joe we know. Yeah I'm still bitter. I admit it. But Aikman broadcasts like he never made mistakes on the field. How quickly he forgets/ignores on how absolutely brutal he was as a rookie (0-11). And when you compare his stats to guys like Mahomes, Allen, Brady and Rodgers, he can't hold their jock straps. If he wasn't gifted a great OLINE, Michael and especially Emitt, he would be Baker Mayfield. His best statistical year was 3400 yards passing, 23 TDs and 14 Ints. <rant off> I now bring you back to your regularly scheduled discussion.

My Wednesday thoughts 1. "It's all we got, it's all we need." 2. The disrespect of the Titans, a number 1 seed, is off the chain. Titans have beaten both Bills and Chiefs this year. 3. Shocking to see talking heads not automatically lining up behind 15. This could be a 50-50 split by Sunday night. 4. I really can't decide who has the greater motivation going into the Bills-Chiefs game. 5. Legends are made in the playoffs. Micah made his last weekend. I'm going with Ed Oliver this weekend. 6. The matchup I will be watching most closely this weekend is Ingram-Jones vs Dawkins-Bates 7. Someone else mentioned up stream is Josh on a Flacco playoff trajectory? I have been thinking about this since the close of the Patriots unpantsing. 8. I secretly hope KC starts CEH over McKinnon. 9. Jerry Hughes, your time is NOW. THIS WEEKEND.. 10. Can Matt Milano defend Kelce?

Very well done.

Seeing Dallas flame out was one of the great joys of the weekend.

Good analysis of the issues with Patriots roster
wjag replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Favorite line from article: "Watching Allen’s spread machine cut through the Patriots defense like a hot knife through butter while the Pats trotted out a six offensive linemen package made me feel like my 95-year-old great uncle calling me on his flip phone while I spoke to him on my iPhone 13." -
My Tuesday, it's way too early game predictions: 1. Siran Neal will be deployed to slow down Kelce coming out of his breaks. Holding called/not called on Kelce will be a big factor determining the outcome of this game. 2. KC OLINE will have a game not allowing a single sack of Patrick Mahomes. 3. Weather will not be a factor in this game. 4. Buffalo wins TO battle 2-1. 5. This game is won/lost by a FG. 6. Mahomes and Allen will combine for 700 yards passing and 6 TDs (rushing and throwing). 7. Bold Prediction: Bills Special Teams score a TD 8. Bold Prediction: Hill gets a rushing TD or Mahomes gets a receiving TD. 9. Neither team will approach 100 yards rushing by a RB. Guessing both will be around 70 yards on 15-ish carries each. Both QBs will break off at least one big rush pushing team rushing over 100 yards each. 10. Return of the Haackman. Haack won't be a hack in this game and will pin the Chiefs deep. Okay, this is more hopeful thinking.

OT Whose your biggest disappointment in the NFL this year?
wjag replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Preseason pick: Browns Midseason pick: Ravens Verge of playoffs pick: Colts WC weekend: Dallas -
Me too. I was searching the interwebs and all I could find was the Special Teams coach got axed. Was totally confused.

Yeah it's different this year too as the DBs can't cut them. So you get two big OL running down hill with a freight train QB following and its fun to watch. Unless it is happening to you...

Engage the Minister of Legislative Debate on who is a better QB, Allen or Mahomes. Demand he watch the game and debate him while it is going on.

In any interview where a Bills player is asked about Josh Allen, to a man, without fail, they say that when you see him lay it all on the line for one yard, play, after play, after play, you want to show up for him. To me, that is leadership. They watch this guy sell out on nearly every play. Diggs always says it so well, paraphrasing here, when I see what he is willing to do, I have to match that. There were three straight, bad incompletions in the Atlanta game. I mean bad. He threw one thing and each of three different receivers ran/did something else. Not once did you see him evil eye them. Clearly he wasn't wrong on all three throws, so it just shows you his maturity. This guy will always shoulder the blame, earned or not. That is just part of his DNA.

Watching that game, it was pretty clear that the Chiefs wanted to put a lot of things on tape for Buffalo to consider. Highlighting McKinnon's speed and sending Pringle and Hardman out on patterns. That Kelce TD pass has to scare the beejeebees out of the Bills. How the heck do you defend against that creativity? Think you seen it before, that quick little shovel pass to Kelce? First run it early with ?McKinnon? to show it. Run it a second time but this time with Kelce. The Steelers jumped it only to find that Kelce hops up and throws it. Brilliant play call. Something else I think I noticed. The big man TD was thrown to the right. I'm not sure about this, but I don't think I have ever seen one thrown to the right by a right handed QB. Feels like 100% of them are center cut or thrown to the natural throwing motion of the QB, to the left. Lastly, the Mahommes run of 25 yards. They wanted Buffalo to know that was there for the taking too. Buffalo also wanted to show KC some stuff. The Big man TD. Allen taking the underneath stuff and then delivering the long ball. Singletary pounding the rock. The Allen designed runs. Reminding the Chiefs what weapons Knox and Davis are. While trick plays were not required against the Patriots, you have to believe Daboll won't hold back in this game. I don't recall too many Bills games where Allen pitched the ball on an RPO, but that was shown too. This has all the earmarks of a great game. Neither team has the upper hand motivation-wise. Vegas thinks it will be close. They were all white in week 5, that's my guess.

My Monday 10 thoughts: 1. KC put on a display last night. They showed Buffalo that they have an endless bag of trick plays they can call. 2. Weather forecast looks perfect. 3. Personally hate the 6:30 Sunday time slot, but a blind man could see it coming with the late KC game and magnitude of the game this weekend coming. 4. Dallas had one of the most head scratching plays I have ever witnessed. McCarthy deserves to be fired after that. 5. Titans-Bengals looks like a very interesting matchup as well. Burrows played a great game for a first time play off appearance 6. If Pittsburgh had anything, IF BEN HAD ANYTHING, KC would not have played the way they did. That was embarrassing for Ben to go out that way. He looked like an empty husk of a Hall of Fame player. 7. Here is where we find out just what kind of player Dane Jackson is. 8. I can hear the narrative all week. Josh had the game of his career. He isn't likely to repeat it. Patty had his usual. Nothing out of his norm there. Cue Nicky Wright and Kevin Wildes. 9. Great FMIA read this week on Buffalo. Loved Jordan Palmer's tweet to Josh before he played the game against NE. "So proud to know that you’ve risen to the level of being a Pro Bowl alternate!" 10. Glad the nor'easter missed the game by one day!!! Happy shovel out day Buffalo..

Bengals Raiders Call Reminiscent of Bills Texans Playoff Call
wjag replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
NFL to Vegas, yeah our bad. But the refs on the field didn’t have their hearing aids properly tuned so their was a one second audio delay. 😞
