  1. I don't get this move at all. This is a QB1 driven league. If you got one, you keep him. You build around him.. If you don't you can be wandering the desert for years. This is nuts.. Just ask Cleveland, Buffalo, NYJ, Miami, etc.....
  2. The issue I can't resolve is why he and Beckham could not connect on the playing field. They also had Landry so it wasn't like they could always just double OBJ. A Tier 1 QB has to play successfully with the talent he has, and for some reason, these guys did not click. Was it personality, ability, injuries (him or him) or something more sinister that speaks to Baker's ability to lead a team? If OBJ flopped in LA, you could rightfully point the blame at him, but just the opposite happened.
  3. As I predicted Tik Tok'ers did a great job of capturing all his gaffs. The one that really made me laugh was one of Nancy Pelosi. While Biden is stating that his administration led the way on getting international support for a 15% minimum corporation task, you can see Nancy over his right shoulder intently reading a copy of his speech and studying the page. And then the camera captures her picking up the page and flipping it over on the pile only to reveal the page is completely BLANK!!!! Awesome..
  4. Yeah that was odd. Wonder what the backstory is there. Also odd when Biden spent the first 12 minutes saying no troops in Ukraine and then finished with "god bless our troops" and "go get'em"
  5. For the record, I am a decidedly independent voter who refused to cast a vote for Trump and refused to cast a vote for Biden. Biden proved unequivocally last night that he is cognitively compromised. The sheer number of gaffs and mistakes he made last night was alarming. He couldn't go five minutes without substituting the wrong word or incorrectly pronouncing words. The MSM won't cover it, but I'm sure they will be all over Tik Tok today. Consider he called Ukrainians, Iranians at one point. At one point he said "our forces are not going to Europe to fight Ukraine" when he meant Russia." Fighting the Ukrainians.. Doh! And then he said you can't build a wall high enough to keep out vaccines when he meant to say viruses. The dude can't even read a teleprompter correctly. And when he goes ad lib, he sputters nonsense. When he increases the tempo of words, he gets lost in his thoughts... THIS IS THE LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD... A few other comments: Mitch McConnell sat so impassively as to appear dead. He looked like he was ready for Madam Tussauds Nancy Pelosi looked absolutely giddy. As if he she took an extra dose of her medicine. Chuck Schumer jumped up when no one else did and looked embarrassed and sat down If you were playing a drinking game on the SOTU and you had "folks", you'd have been hammered by the time it was over.
  6. 1. Conception.. Born a Bills fan. Seriously.. Always have been. Can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't. Joined TBD in 2008. 2. OJ breaking 2000 yards... 3. Beating Miami in 1980 (after the 0-for-the-70's) and tearing down the goal posts 4. All time favorite: tough to pick one. Current favorite: JA17 5. my initials.. use it anywhere and everywhere...
  7. Excellent. The Bills have found Josh's backup... Have Mitch's agent send over the paperwork.
  8. My guess is Feliciano and Ford are gone. Morse retires. Williams restructures and stays. Line is then Dawkins, Bates, Draft Pick, Williams and Brown.
  9. The salary price escalation in pro sports is insane.
  10. Just the opposite. This year's playoffs were the BEST EVER. The SB was a bit anticlimactic for a Bills fan, but it still went down to the wire.
  11. Someone who understands this, enlighten me. What within the NFL scheduling process dictates that Bills will play IN KC again next season? I understand the reason they are playing, but how is home/away for that game determined? What would Buffalo had to do, if anything, to get that regular season game played in Buffalo, next year?
  12. If your goal is to be one and done, sure. The Rams will be in purgatory for some time to come. But the trophy on their home field sure looks nice in the trophy case.
  13. Yeah I agree after they let the no call offensive facemask stand and the no assessed penalties on the Aaron Donald sideline hit and subsequent team's scrums. The only two non-procedure penalties that should have been called were the right tackle offensive holding on the Ram go-ahead TD (that was pretty clear on the replay) and that non-uniformed Bengal (idiot) running on field to celebrate. To start throwing flags on the goal line at the end of the game sure seems sus.
  14. We are going to start dumpster diving the Giants now..
  15. America may be, but the networks are not. It could also be a Frisco game.. Big markets...
  16. My not so unbiased Super bowl thoughts 1. Copper Kupp was unbelievable. 2. Aaron Donald was unbelievable. 3. That desperation throw on Cincy's last play almost connected. If it had, it would have been the play of the superbowl. 4. Glad Cincy lost. Just am. 5. Jalen Ramsey gets beat twice on big plays. Me like it. 6. OBJ going down really hurt the Rams. 7. Imagine waking up in Detroit today knowing that Stafford won. Must really suck being a Lions fan. 8. The halftime show was NOT my cup of tea. My son on the other hand loved it. 9. When Rams changed their pass rush technique in the 3rd quarter, the game changed. Wonder if the "great" Spagnola looks at that and says why didn't we do that? 10. I bet Burrow is one sore football player this AM.
  17. I don't think QBs can be compared head to head because the rules changes that favored passing and protection have inflated the stats and performance of guys like Brees, Brady and Rodgers. If Kelly was protected like Brady was he could have played 5 more years too. You have to compare them by era. When Marino (in his second year) threw the 48 TD passes (5000 yards in 16 games) to Clayton and Duper (two decidedly undersized receivers) that was otherworldly considering the state of the game. Peyton, Tom, Drew and Aaron get to play a game designed to throw the ball. So who had a more impressive year: Marino or Rodgers.
  18. I went with sideways. The offense was up and down. The defense was better against the run, but gave up long TD runs. The team had extremes in their games for example @Jax, NE, @NE, Indy. Great offensive showing in the playoffs but they exited the playoffs earlier. And they lost their best defender to an ACL. They were truly a bipolar team.
  19. Once upon a time I did, now I don't. Knox is emerging and will get better and better.
  20. Olly Olly Oxen Free
  21. Ahh, Baltimore's scape goat
  22. Am I following this correctly? Alvin stayed out until 0630a on the night before and day of the Pro Bowl drinking and partying? He then went on to play the game later that day and was subsequently taken into custody (presumably in or near the locker room after the game).
