Yeah that too. But what do you call the 390?
-
ahem.. its "the 90" not the "I-90". I saw this 'you are from Buffalo if you say' list ... and saying "the 90" was in the list. Here in Maryland we say I-95.. I do it all the time. And when I talk about Buffalo I say 'the 90 to the 390." I wasn't even aware of it until I read the list.

The NFL’s best quarterbacks against every type of coverage
wjag replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
My reaction was similar. In a 17 game season, he saw Cover 0 less than once per game on average??? But I suppose that gets washed out a bit when they were in Cover 0 and it was a run play. Not sure how often that would happen. I would suspect most QBs would change the play to a pass if they had an inkling that they were looking at Cover 0. -
I can't argue with anything he said. I would proffer that bomb to Gabe in KC was right there too. The magnitude of that play at that time can't be diminished. In fact the go ahead TD to Gabe too should be in the list too. It's not just degree of difficulty that should be considered when rating throws, but the impact on the game. The play he showed to Gabe was not KC.

Tyreek Hill says Tua is more accurate than Mahomes

The lady doth protest too much, methinks -
It really will never be clear until the owner's books are open like a player's salary is. It could be the Ram's owner doesn't care about money and wants only to win. It could be that even with these wild salaries given out (Donald, Stafford, Kupp, etc) he is still in the black. It could be he is in the red football-team-wise and just doesn't care. It could be that the "small market" billionaire owner is taking profits and claiming CAP poverty. Any way you slice it, the cap is accounting as he says.

Fitz will almost certainly go out as a Bill. He has been on record as saying playing in Buffalo was his favorite stint. And now Tyrod knows how many more helmets he needs for the record.

It literally is the antithesis of this thread. I find the psychology interesting. The preponderance of statements on this board are he's guilty. The preponderance of statements on their board is he's innocent. What's interesting to me is how few posters on their board believe the women. It's like 90-10 here he did it and like 90-10 there he's being extorted. I also find it interesting the tone of their posters. Vulgarity rules the day or grammar there. Another random thought. This case strikes me as very similar to the Bill Cosby case. Remember when it first came out your reaction was, Not Cliff Huxtable. Can't be. Not Fat Albert. Can't be. Not the pudding guy. Can't be. And then another person comes forward and another and another. And guess what, it was the pudding guy. It was Cliff Huxtable. It was Fat Albert.

Seems like Lamar Jackson isn't pleased with the Ravens tonight
wjag replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I really think this is a make or break year for him. And it's not just because of the contract status. He has been knocked out of the last two seasons. And that narrative is out there. Can he play that way and stay healthy enough to complete a 20 game season? He was concussed in Buffalo to end one season and had a deep bone bruise on his ankle last year. Should be interesting to see how his game evolves. -
Pretty cool the brothers are both long snappers. What are the odds two brothers would make it to the NFL and hold down the esoteric job of long snapper?

Cleveland is determined to break contract barriers.

Hope springs eternal. Meanwhile, I have some waterfront property on the slope of an Icelandic volcano for sale. Watching the quality of the play for the good teams this playoff and the even mediocre teams, the young’ens have a long way to go. But hey, hold on to your hope. I might buy in if they had a had a goalie. Last time I checked, you kinda needed one of those.

So the field trip took them to the bowels of hockey sustained ineptitude where hockey careers and dreams go to die.

Seems like Lamar Jackson isn't pleased with the Ravens tonight
wjag replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't agree the league has figured him out. He was rolling along last year and the Ravens were in first place in the AFC (with a completely decimated RB room). Then he got sick week 10 and missed the game. A return bout of COVID was speculated but I don't think ever confirmed. He was hurt in week 13 against Cleveland, I think, and was never seen in a live game since. They tried to bring him back and video surfaced of him limping badly on the practice field. That was the effective end of his season. My speculation is that COVID walloped him twice. And then he got dinged. He very well might be in a long rehab and is still not up to snuff, hence the absence from public view. -
The whole wall filled with Denver's stadium would have to go before I could even consider placing a bid.

Stories in the local papers here point the finger at LJ not the Ravens. The Ravens have reportedly tried to sign him, but it is LJ acting as his own agent and operating in his own timeline that is holding things up. The interesting part of the story for me is he has a limited supply of receivers. So missing OTA time means he is not building chemistry with the FNGs. Chemistry and timing are some of the key outcomes of OTAs. -
Turn it in to a dodgeball match.

I've stopped listening to McDemott press conferences. I learn more from reading milk cartons that I learn from him. He has mastered the art of talking for 10 minutes and saying nothing for 10 minutes.

I actually caught part of the show, quite accidentally. I found their analysis was thorough for every team I heard. They didn't just ole the Texans because, well they're the Texans. Their stats struck me as uniform and detailed. My belief was it took Dion nearly the whole season to return to form after covid. We quickly forget that he was hospitalized and in serious condition for a while there. When he did finally regain his footing, weight and stamina, things got better for the whole offense. Moving Williams to guard was a curious move when it was made. After all, he was the hero of the season before. But it seemed to work. And now he is gone. We hardly knew ya. Brown was a turnstile at tackle and got routinely beat. If the line is moving forward this year, the RT spot must be improved upon. Whether Brown is the answer or not will be interesting to see. Saffold was hurt quite a bit last season for Tennessee. I thought it was a curious signing given that. If he can hold down a guard spot, that might solve one of the guard positions. Not sure what to make of the other guard spot. Lots of camp bodies in there for that spot. Is it Boettger, Bates, Q, The irreparable Cody Ford, other? Morse survived last year relatively ding free. Still makes me nervous about his concussion history. Especially being in the middle where the big boys play. With the recently benched, bitter and butt-hurt Feliciano departure, seems like the cupboard is thin in the middle.

If trap games existed, these three would be them according to BillsWire

Clearly its the Rams and Chiefs -
I think the whole OBJ saga paints a completely different picture. Same with Landry too. There had to be locker room issues for the team to walk away from him. Guys couldn't wait to get out of the mistake by the lake. While we always talk about toxic locker rooms with out proof, and I am again here, I strongly suspect that this was the case. For the organization to dump their #1 pick, go after a replacement QB with all the negative baggage in the world, accept they would be pilloried by their fellow owners and fan base, and do it anyway, says to me that Baker walked and talked his way out of the franchise. They were past done with him.

OT Deshaun getting ready for a sit down with NFL

Usually the penultimate act before the NFL announces (ultimate act) his future game availability. -
Punt god has a computer science, economics and stats degree. Color me more than impressed. The Bills definitely have a type when it comes to players. They not only draft athletes but they draft articulate young men. Everyone that appears in front of a microphone seems to be thoughtful, driven, articulate and oozes character.
