I'm not buying into the Eelers are more motivated this week. Here is what I subjectively evaluate. They’re banged up on defense. They’re also tired. I do expect their receivers to catch what is thrown at them. Bills are playing better in all aspects of the game and Bills are facing another tough team. As Barry Switzer once said before the annual Oklahoma-Nebraska football game for supremacy of the Big 8, “we’re going to have to out-athlete them.” Bills win on talent and rest.
Every week is a good test for Allen. His reputation is on the line nationally more than any other QB seemingly. I'd imagined he learned a lot about playing the Eelers from last year's game. This is all seasoning for a playoff run. My favorite quote from Allen in the Jac Collingsworth interview was when he said he saw the play before it happened. That is next level. This kid is rounding into shape. These tough games will all benefit the Bills in the long run. I like that Miami is dogging them too. Keeps the focus up.
I thought he was very complimentary. People I guess hear what they want to hear.
And yeah.. Tasker trying to remember Bills receivers was drawn out way to long.
I don't have a problem with this stat. High risk, high reward. What would be more telling are two things: when they occurred and what the outcome of the play was. Throwing that dig route to Gabe was certainly one of them. That had INT written all over it. The number isn't as important as the outcome. What biases you immediately is seeing Wentz on there. His outcomes have been poor.
I'd like to see them try a fake punt or field goal sometime. Seems like it hasn't been in the repertoire for some time. I think we could see an epic amount of screen attempts this game. Draw the DLINE in deep and throw them to Diggs, Singletary and Knox.
Actually my scenario is both Billy Boy and Tommy Boy miss the playoffs. Arians gets fired, Billy Boy is hired and the Gronk, Tommy and Billy are reunited. Chance of this happening. 0 percent. But it would create a buzz...
I went with Beane. Caveat, there was no choice for both. This is like picking your left foot over your right foot. Football is an enterprise and each performs their function in that enterprise.
