  1. Dude, I'm living in Philly. I am pumped!
  2. There is a big difference between Tyrod being on the roster, and Tyrod being the unquestioned starter for the entirety of 2018. I sincerely think that TT is likely the best bridge option available to us. I also sincerely think that the Bills are going to take a swing at a rookie. And I don't hate to say that I think that a journeyman vet who got us to the playoffs is already on contract while we get the rookie ready. Excuse me, but I have to step into some very important high level business meetings...
  3. These are the points I took away with it 1) The QB market is going to be insane. I thought it was going to be anyway, and this now blows that out of the water. 3) Yeah...the Browns have the 1st overall pick (again) and are bidding heavily for a vet player. They don't do this if they are 100% sold on the class. 5) I definitely see the Giants and the Colts as possible trade partners. If the FO thinks they have their guy, and he makes it there, I am ok with betting the farm here.
  4. I brought it up with some other Petermaniacs (when they brought up the Colts game as a positive indicator) that the QB I wanted to see more of was Joe Webb. Not that I think that he has a shot of being a quality starter, but the trick play gimmick ability made him more valuable than Peterman.
  5. Not because of one bad outing. And we are not throwing him in a trash heap. But, no there is zero reason to have faith in him for the long term. There is a reason why he went in he fifth round. Arm strength and quality of experience were serious question marks, and he was supposed to maybe have a glimmer of hope with his excellent decision making and ability to read a defense pre-snap. So far, his weaknesses have been worse than anticipated. His supposed strengths have been even worse than that. I know that not every pick in the Chargers game was his fault, but the sheer number of them has shown that he doesn't make good decisions. I know the Jacksonville INT should have come back, but even that was underthrown and had zero chance of getting to the WR, never mind a good decision considering how tight the coverage was. Like I've said in other threads, when the best game of his career so far is a 50% completion rate for 57 yards, it is time to look elsewhere.
  6. Trade up. It's not even close
  7. I hadn't been on since yesterday morning. It was my first thought when I saw the post.
  8. I know. It's my little fantasy. At this point, I would rather use them as a potential trading partner if we really think we have our guy than any other vet QB. I don't want us to get into a bidding war for Cousins, and even if we did I think we lose. tagged into response
  9. Well, it's official: There are two outside veteran QBs I would considering bringing in. Luck, and Cousins. Each will costs a king's ransom. I don't want any of the other scrubs.
  10. No one is accusing Jeff Fisher of offensive brilliance. In fact, it DOES play into my argument. I suggested the crazy notion that scheme, playcalling and the talent around a QB has a stark impact on their play. Uninspired offense and playcalling: bad Playcalling that tries to focus on what you want to do as an OC rather than what your players are good at: bad Modifying your scheme to get the most out of a QB who has his warts: success
  11. Dude, by the start of June I am desperate for Week 4 of the preseason level play.
  12. This is odd...I don't remember Alabama losing off of a game clinching interception... Wait, no, I'm remembering "Pure Passer" Peterman. That's the comparison you are making.
  13. This is what I was going to post. The NFL took so many steps to make itself a full year event when it was at its peak that there is a definite demand during that time. The league has effectively turned college football to their minor league, and there really isn't much of a place for journeymen who need to hone their game for a few years. The USFL attracted some real talent too (Kelly and Steve Young IIRC) before one boob of an incompetent businessman ran it into the ground. I wonder that that blonde weirdo is up to these days...
  14. I already had him on block too. This time crossed a line.
  15. JW is usually on point. I hate to say it, but I hope that of all the obvious options that it's Glenn. Dawkins did a more than admirable job stepping in, and it would save cap money.
  16. Well, in recent memory Andrew Luck, Russel Wilson and RGIII in their rookie years. All made the playoffs. Hell, I would argue that you saw more out of Mark Sanchez year one than you did Peterman.
  17. Pppshhh *snort* Oh god, you were being serious, weren't you?
  18. As a note, voices in your head do not count as sources
  19. Dude, drink your coffee. They are going to go after a QB. Maybe 2. It's the worst kept secret in the league. But it looks like they have a plan, and (like Promo said) won't dump Tyrod until they KNOW they have a longer term improvement in place.
  20. He will act when utter confusion when he finds out that even with Tyrod's worst games this year, he was still better than Nick Foles in St. Louis
  21. Same here. And what's this about Eagles fans now?
  22. ...Because my entire premise is that while Foles has flown higher, he has also crashed lower. This is the direct link to that. It's his inconsistency which has prevented him from becoming a franchise QB. A lot of us here are performing one hell of a double standard: giving him praise on the games and stretches where he was amazing, and disregard the stretches when he wasn't on bad coordinators and a lack of personnel. It's the argument the biggest Tyrod fans (including myself) have leaned on, and the answer is that neither is a franchise QB, so let's quit acting like we have one as a millstone around our neck while the other is a sparkly unicorn who we missed.
  23. You mean, that instead of picking 2 games randomly I used both of their worst seasons as a starter as comparison and averaged out for a per game basis so you couldn't use that as a bias? You just don't like that I have comprehensive data to back up my point. There is a contingent of fans here who hate Tyrod so much that they blindly grasp at anyone who they think might be an improvement. It's time to prepare a replacement, but the grasping at straws I have seen is ludicrous.
  24. Agreed. And it goes to how much coaching and play calling is a factor. It looks like Pederson purposefully ran a vanilla offense with Foles in the first few weeks back, and saved integrating the RPO into the playoffs so opponents would have less tape on it. Same players, adjusted playcalling. It made a hell of a difference.
