  1. How is it culturally cancelling? The guy's an A-hole and someone decided not to work with him.
  2. I wonder if he'd be interested in joining the practice squad for a SB run, and hopefully be ready to go in 2.5 weeks pretty sure the answer is yes If we'd pick him up most likely it would be on the practice squad, no real cap ramifications It didn't stop them from picking up Freeman - I'd say they value building the best roster over everything, if they think he's a better option they'll take a look.
  3. I was kind of wondering if we night consider adding Mark Ingram to practice squad (in case he might be an upgrade over Freeman.) Let's load up like nachos
  4. No, otherwise teams would do this all the time. The cap hit comes from the annual salary plus signing bonus which is spread over the length of the contract. A lot of these bonuses are huge and spread over long periods (to minimize the impact over any single year) but then when the contract is terminated early the remainder gets added to the cap all in a year or two .
  5. I believe Coach of the Year and MVP votes both were due the Wednesday following the regular season.
  6. It does seem like there's a trend where having a good to great QB isn't enough if you can't build enough of a roster around him due to $ or other factors - Deshaun Watson, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford come to mind. I wonder also how much more he could make in national marketing deals (like Rodgers, Mahomes, have done) if he makes the Bills a regular contender - obviously easier if the team isn't cash strapped. Still, the market is probably set at around 40 mil a year for him, and I would guess that's what he'll get.
  7. It's pretty clear that it was a concussion. He may have recovered quickly and can convince himself or his coaches / doctors / media that he's fine (and hopefully he is fine) but that man had scrambled brains immediately following that hit.
  8. I don't think they're limited much if at all for gloves. I saw a Lineman today wearing bright yellow gloves and for a second thought I was looking at a penalty flag.
  9. Tre also hustled down and finished the play by making sure Jackson couldn't catch him. I think Jerry Hughes had a sack on the previous play also that had backed them up. Total Team Defense last night!
  10. Josh has been doing that all year. It's going to hopefully wind up with defenders making a decision to not risk it when it's a little late (or if they don't yards and drive extensions), so I'm all for it.
  11. He also did mention that he was in the running for MVP this year.
  12. I've never met a Rush fan who wasn't a giant whiner.
  13. Practice Squad guys are generally eligible to be picked up by any other team, so not really "under contract." After the season they can be signed to reserve / futures contract if both sides agree to that.
  14. Hmm. My dad always said to never quit a job unless you've got another one lined up (and if I did I'd better not expect to come live with him.) I guess as long as you know where your groceries and rent are coming from. I always thought you can't get unemployment for quitting a job (which in essence is what happened since you told them you couldn't work your scheduled shift.)
  15. Uh oh, echoes of Doug Flutie and Rob Johnson. is Ryan Fitzpatrick's last gift to Buffalo ***** over the Dolphins a la Flutie?
  16. Yeah. I'd guess it still saves an hour or so when you factor in police escort to and from stadium and private plane, no security, etc....
  17. He almost certainly can contribute on Special Teams: https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/2021/01/who-is-antonio-williams-bills-udfa-rb-scores-twice-in-buffalos-week-17-win.html#:~:text=Williams was North Carolina's Carl,MVP award winner in 2019.&text=Buffalo signed Williams as an,handful of times in 2020.
  18. I'm sure he won't if he feels there is a big drop off. I'm just saying that may not be the case given his history in College.
  19. I wonder if we might see him AND Yeldon activated this week, and have Taiwan Jones sit. I read somewhere that Antonio Williams was his team's MVP on special teams in College, so seems like ST shouldn't suffer too much even though Taiwan Jones is great there.
  20. Before this gets locked, I'll just say I hope this is the first and last time I ever feel anything like respect towards Bill Belicheck.
  21. Freeman's not going to leapfrog Yeldon, this would be insurance in case another back goes down.
