    Hopkins is on IR, so if you get rid of Carpenter you have no kicker. Also, he has a history of being streaky, so it's very unlikely anyone is going to trade for him. But sure.

    I didn't bring it up, I was responding to the OP who keeps incorrectly asserting that an injury has to be "season ending" to IR someone. I was pointing out that this is not true.

    He looked pretty good blocking. I'd have him back just to block on a WR screen. But blocking should not be a QB's strong suit.
