If they had been given another chance and scored, is the outcome any different? They got a TD one play later, the time off the clock would have been the same. There were some officiating mistakes yesterday, but nothing that really altered the outcome of the game. There was the Gabe Davis catch that should have been reviewed, but also there was pass interference that pretty clearly should have been called on the play right before the game sealing interception.

It's not that we're not bothered, it's that we understand that even the best teams rarely go undefeated, and we still feel like we are one of the best teams.

And yet, just about every team does this just about every year. The Chiefs lost badly to the Colts (and barely escaped with a win last night against Tenessee.) As Dick Jauron used to say (I can only laugh about it now that we're not going 5-11) it's hard to win in the NFL.

My guess is they didn't trust him to develop Ehlinger and thought he might be doing more harm than good

Josh knows how to play the game. With that said, the number of defensive holding and pass interference calls against other teams when our offense is on the field is unbelievably low (and has been for a couple years at least) and we should take what we can get.

My first fantasy football team was name The Captain Cavemans (probably around 2001?) because it made me chuckle, when I signed up here back in the mid 2000s it just seemed like a good fit.

Threads like these really make me wish we had gotten our free Madden codes by now... On-topic, I think it would be a tough sell to the NFLPA, and the owners would probably have to give something up to get it. Additionally, a big part of why the current rookie pay system was put in place was to prevent contract hold outs (or more precisely huge contracts for unproven rookies to avoid those holdouts) - I could see players holding out to avoid this.
