  1. I "would go here" because of course it matters. Suggesting otherwise is nonsensical. I'm not discounting them by any means, but the Chiefs struggled all year and performance vs. quality of opponent is important.
  2. I keep coming back to the fact KC only beat 3 teams with a winning record, and only 1 playoff team: Miami (twice), 9-8 Jacksonville and 9-8 Cincy (w/Jake Browning at QB). It's still Mahomes, Andy Reid, etc.--- but that matters.
  3. For context, the kid is Nick Wright:
  4. It's only anecdotal, but every football fan I know (in northern Virginia) is sick of the Chiefs. Mahomes' postgame reaction regarding the Offside only amplified that conviction.
  5. Hey, I'm just a rational, even keeled casual observer that mysteriously reemerges apparition-like to utterly s**t on anything remotely resembling a positive comment related to the subject of the very message board of which I'm a member. Where else would you rather be?
  6. I've watched 13 seconds several times: Josh's 75 yard TD to Gabe plus the Bills' final two drives, but that's it. Bass lining up to kickoff at 13 seconds is the same for me as Norwood lining up in Tampa. Reminding myself of that pain without being fully immersed in it is cathartic. I simply can't allow Josh's performance to become a kind of lost media.
  7. I think he's no longer up to the task. He hasn't looked like himself since midseason, and even then he was banged up.
  8. No kidding. In a vacuum, a single PFF grade vs. a single coaches grade doesn't prove much, which is pretty plainly all I'm suggesting. In a later post in this thread, I largely agree with what you posted. Meanwhile, PFF grades are "molded by the NFL" as our old friend Matthew Coller tweeted (I'll reiterate for the third time, I do not necessarily wholeheartedly endorse PFF):
  9. It's already been pointed out in this thread, but NFL teams pay for and utilize PFF analysis. Many, if not most, NFL teams also employ their own analysts that compile and review similar data. I don't wholeheartedly endorse PFF by any means, but the type of analysis they provide should be weighted appropriately in concert with more traditional coaching and scouting analysis. Any kind of data analytics is only a piece of the puzzle. Even PFF supports this notion.
  10. The Chiefs' injury list is pretty long, but most are practicing fully. Sneed being limited is something to keep an on:
  11. Schatz, in particular, has staunchly defended Allen, going so far as to publish an article articulating his stance that Josh should be the QB selection for the All-Pro team. It's interesting to watch as it unfolds, and refreshing that so many analysts who held such firm opinions have been willing to reevaluate their stance and pivot to try and understand what makes Allen different (outlier or not).
  12. Not PFF specific, but it seemed almost the entire analytics crowd hated Josh Allen when he was coming out of college. Now, by large, the analytics community is constantly defending him whereas most of the criticism he receives comes almost exclusively from former players and talking heads--- typically, the least informed sports commentators wrt anything but the most casual biased stereotypes.
  13. I've seen him in a different setting where he isn't "in character" and he appears to be an intelligent, well spoken guy. It's easy to see how he was able to work his way up through the ranks as a sports talker. Unfortunately, like all News and Sports TV, now that he's risen to his current station, he's got to put on a show and act the fool. I'm 100% certain that deep down, he respects the hell out of Josh Allen and the Bills (just like Mahomes, Kelce, Reid, et al do.), but he'll never admit it and ultimately, who cares either way.
  14. PFF loves Josh Allen, FWIW. Not to defend PFF, but "literally putting a coaches grade next to a PFF grade" doesn't really prove much considering how many meatheads are coaching in the NFL. Coaches are constantly wrong when evaluating talent and situation.
  15. I was obviously referring to your clear implication.
  16. Continue sitting on the couch out of spite or get an NFL paycheck? Hmmm, tough call.
