11th in carries but 3rd in rushing yards. Lookie, lookie, here comes Cook-ie!

One argument against Allen's MVP candidacy I've heard in this very thread is that his rushing TDs shouldn't hold much merit because it isn't a QB stat and other teams have RBs that score rushing TDs. This is a ridiculous assertion--- the MVP award is not a "best QB" award, regardless if it's typically given to a QB. Should McCaffrey and Mostert get dinged because they've scored rushing TDs that could have instead been scored by QBs or even other RBs? What are we doing here, is he a football player or not? Then again, one brilliant assertion I read here the other day is that "MULTIPLE players" would need to "literally die" for Allen to be considered. The mind boggles, my dudes.

Who's going to cover Justin Jefferson this week? -
As good of a season McCaffrey has had, he's going to fall well short of the benchmarks* typically achieved by RBs that have won MVP. Having said that, the league has evolved into an era of RB specialization yet he's mostly operating like the all-purpose bellcows of the past. He's definitely not the most "valuable" player on his own team (as evidenced by Purdy's implosion against Baltimore) but he may be having the best season relative to position. If the award truly were given to most spectacular player (its not), it should come down to McCaffrey, Tyreek Hill and Myles Garrett. (*McCaffrey is tied in total TDs with Mostert at 21. RB MVPs in the recent past flirt with 30)

He's going to let the Bills look at it? -
This could be Belichick's last visit to Orchard Park, they won't take this lightly.

It's unreal. It's almost fishy.

They're only up two TDs with 4:45 left.

You weren't kidding!

Watching McCaffrey, Deebo and Kittle, it's impossible to accept they're human.

This game is taking so long, there's still plenty of time for San Francisco to score 3 TDs.

This is a bit of a reach. Tyreek was a rookie in 2016 and Kelce was in his 3rd full season. Alex Smith had a pretty good year with Reid, Hill and Kelce just as they were getting started before being replaced by Mahomes. I don't think Alex Smith would've won MVPs or Super Bowls in that situation, but no one is suggesting anybody could simply step in and replicate Mahomes' success. Mahomes is great, he landed in a beautiful spot and then performed at an extremely high level.

I've never been anxious against Lamar, although he's improved since we last faced him. I agree, we still match up well.

Lamar just moved from +100 to -115. I'm sure Miami's D will show Him what's up.
