    I knew you knew, with the smile at the end, but the serious replies that followed made me think I was watching some brilliant avant-garde comedy sketch. It was intoxicating. Eventually I had to find truth in the madness.

    Is there something in the CBA about not being able to negotiate extensions until a certain point into the player's rookie deal? I think there is, but I could be wrong. But Glenn is a perfect example of a player who should be locked up sooner rather than later.

    I agree when it comes to broadcast media, but not newspapers.

    I have no problem with this. I don't believe traditional media like newspapers toot their horn enough about how they're typically better than the rest. Sure, you can complain about the timing of such a column, but when is a good time?

    These are good points, but, for example, the age of consent here in N.C. is 16. I can't shake the thought that if a 52-year-old teacher is having sex with a high school sophomore he doesn't belong in the ol' hoosegow.

    Right. You can't make for-guys-only laws. I'm thinking if your 18-year-old daughter is hooking up with her physics teacher, you're going to think something's morally/otherwise wrong with that, despite her age.

    It's all about who makes the splash with the big names. The Bills got plenty of attention when they got Mario Williams.

    I've always cut Moore a break because he played with his hand down at VT -- undersized to begin with -- and was asked to play MLB/OLB in training camp. And he wasn't a high pick. (I know Williams and Ellison weren't, either).

    Shaud Williams and Keith Ellison may very well be the nicest guys on the planet, but I hated them so hard for being so bad.

    I don't think he missed a regular season game last year. He was benched in the postseason after being late to a team meeting.
