Yea we got blown out in those games. The D did play well but not phenomenal. This D would be decent with a modern NFL offense, but it's definitely not strong enough to be the backbone of the team. Obviously we don't know the opponents gameplan but when teams want to take it to us, they do.

Serious question. Not a fan of giving away talent in order to bring in "your guys" since I believe in tanking breeds losing. I'm just wondering if anyone can come up with an example from any sport, where a coach/gm started a tank and where there to see a championship.

If he let outside opinions affect his decisions, Peterman would have not made the roster. McDermott might be the only guy in the NFL who believes in this guy. It's going to be very hard to sign talent to a team without an NFL caliber QB. $90M in cap space doesn't mean *****, if no one thinks you can win. You'll end up overpaying or ending up with guys that are just there for the paycheck and don't give a *****. I forgot we have a ton of picks in the 5th, 6th & 7th rounds, that's where the talent lives. I'm so pissed in the direction of the team, we get one brief sense of success and enjoyment by backing into the playoffs and we can already see another long drought.
