Bills doing the right thing, so far.
billsfreak replied to Justice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. IMO he is above average, and Ralph has to spend it somewhere now, why not on someone who is reliable instead of an over the hill, oft injured washed up player like Merriman? -
Poz signs with Jax, 6 years $7.5M/year reported
billsfreak replied to clearwater cadet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From what I have read the Bills only offered a 4 year deal with less money per year. My guess is the whole 4-3 versus 3-4 defense thing was an excuse because Poz didn't want to say anything negative about the place he really wanted to stay and play, but was undercut by Buddy and Co. -

You must work at the One Bills Drive mailroom, sound pretty accurate. How can the Bills be doing the right thing so far by letting their top tackler leave and signing a QB with a 1-11 career record? Ralph and his cronies are a bunch of jokes. -
Buddy Nix on WGR550 this morning....
billsfreak replied to Jdragon2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What do you expect? He is just another bottom of the barrel, dollar store front office that Ralphy hired. What is there internally to replace the best and most productive tackler on the team? He is nothing but Ralph's puppet, most likely with orders to not spend anymore money than necessary to get to the salary minimum. So they let Poz go, and they will give the money to someone who isn't half the player (like Merriman). That is 100% correct! It has been a decade since Gailey's name was even mentioned in NFL circles. Ralph needed a coach and he went to see what ones were available in the local pawn shop for coaches and pulled him out of the recycle pile. -
Nothing will fill the holes on this team like bringing in a QB with a career record of 1-11, because the head coach knows him? Only problem with your statement, is it contradicts Thigpen's agent's statement who said the Bills promised him an eventual shot at starting?

Resign Keith Ellison, I am sure he will be cheaper than Poz and that is all that matters to the Bills. -
Bills press conference from this morning
billsfreak replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can't really be surprised if you have been a fan of this team for very long. Winning has been so far down on this organization's (Ralph's) list of priorities for so long it really is sad. -
I don't think I'm a Ralph apologist
billsfreak replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Or having a wife who sleeps with everyone on your street but you, won't cook, clean and robs your checkbook, but hey at least you have a wife! -

I would say no to Brown of Cincy, he is just as cheap as Ralph and cares nothing about his employees. No to Al Davis because he is just as senile as Ralph if not much more, although he is more open to spending money to win, he has gone nuts and sends in plays to the sidelines, just totally wacko in alot of ways. Every other owner is either clearly a better option or so close that I would say yes just because it couldn't be any worse and there is always a chance for improvement. That is so easy to see and so obvious you would think to everyone, I mean it is in black and white/win-loss records. But give it a few minutes and you will hear "But he kept the Bills in Buffalo" excuse from several people on here. People have been using that excuse for far too many years. In the 1970's it was fine, 1980's got a little old, but OK. They we started winning for almost a decade, so it wasn't a problem. Now the old excuse has reared it's ugly head again for the past decade of consistent losing. -
Per Chris Brown - Bills won't target top 60 FAs
billsfreak replied to akm0404's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with that is with other teams that build mainly through the draft like the Patriots, when their picks that turn out to be really good picks reach the end of their rookie contracts, those teams are able to keep them and resign them. In Buffalo, anyone that turns out to be a really good pick leaves for greener pastures, so it is a never ending cycle just building by the draft. As soon as you start filling empty positions one year, the ones you filled 3 or 4 years ago are leaving so all you have is more holes. Good teams use all means to build their roster-draft, free agency, etc. -

The reason for that is they are 10 times cheaper, the result of that is the Buffalo Bills of the last decade. -
The initial rep I talked to today before I was told that they couldn't do anything as far as discounts until the lockout is officially ended, tried everything to keep me from even talking to the Sunday Ticket team. He offered me $10 off my bill for a year, or $20 off my bill for 6 months, the some 5 channel HD pack for 3 months, I told him not interested. It wasn't until he finally got the message that I was even able to talk to someone from Sunday Ticket, and then was told to call back at the end of the week.
-
I just called and got he same story. He said he could offer a discount but until they get a 100% confirmation from NFL.com, they haven't been told which discounts they can offer?

If Poz leaves, will you be upset??
billsfreak replied to Scrappy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, why sign a decent player that might cost more than the minimum, when you can sign players nobody else wants or fill the roster with undrafted rookies. We all live in Ralphy's world. -

Is anyone really surprised? It is the same old Bills and their cheap ass owner. Can't wait until there is a new owner, hopefully they will still be in Buffalo when there is, but at least they may try to win. The Sabres owner is going to make Ralphy even worse now. Not really, several teams will have to think to stay below the salary cap, the Bills will be one of those few teams that have to think to get above the salary basement. -
how the chargers FA effects the Bills
billsfreak replied to rpcolosi's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be easy to tell if he really beat the crap out of her. If he did it the odds are he would have gotten hurt himself. It happens on occasion in other sports, but the main reason it is mainly in football is that every other sport has guaranteed contracts for their players. -

I guess only on the Bills is "average" and "not very good" the same thing. -
Fitzmagic Will get an extension
billsfreak replied to Captain Hindsight's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hopefully it is a facial hair extension, that thing he tried to grow last season should have been outlawed. People who can't grow a full beard, only in spots, unless they are homeless should be made to shave. -

Here is the post I replied to that you entered: This is your evidence on the type of player Poz is? I humbly rest my case. Good Lord, man, the guy is just not a very good linebacker. Here is your second post: Poz is simply an average linebacker Wow. They havent even signed a CBA yet and Poz has improved since yesterday? Rookie. -
Bills Cap Casualties aka Cut Kelsay
billsfreak replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't necessarily think they will cut McGee for cost cutting only, there will be enough CBs who are better than him if they bring Florence back. Getting rid of Maybin would be "cost cutting" just "common sense cutting." -

If they resign Florence, and looking at the draft his year, I think McGee will be a cut and will free a couple million up. -

I have heard monday the free agency will start, with a few days in between for teams to resing their own free agents. -

Wow, you are not only a "rookie" in status on this board but you are also a "rookie" in learning anything at all about the game of football.
