  1. Not to mention, I am almost 50 years old and I might still have been in diapers then!
  2. I agree, yet I have been threatened to be banned from this board for my negativity in saying the same exact type of stuff? The truth hurts I guess.
  3. It would be safe to say that all NFL owners are businessmen first, that doesn't mean that they don't find a happy middle ground between making millions and trying to win.
  4. Way under. I go about 2-3 games. He is already hurt after one preseason game. I would say by far, the worst 3 teams in the NFL are Cincy, Buffalo and Washington. Cincy is similar to Buffalo, they are terrible organizational management. Washington has more talent then Buffalo has, by a small margin, but their QB situation may be worse than ours. I think the only other team that might join the Unelite Three is Denver, but they are a small notch above us because of much more talent to go with an owner with a track record for trying to win.
  5. It is fair, although may be a little too easy, almost everyone knows that they Bills were the butt of alot of jokes because of the 4 straight losses. How about asking them what is the only jersey number officially retired by the franchise?
  6. I can only speak for myself, but just about all teams have bad periods and good periods, it is a cycle that almost all major sports teams go through. I guess what bothers me the most is the lack of effort by this organization to win. Even the best owners in sports, their teams win championships, but they also have periods where they are way down. We just can't seem to get out of the bottom of the barrel with the way this franchise is run.
  7. Gotta be less and less people still thinking that trading Evans to save salary was a good move.
  8. That was a mess, but it doesn't compare to this era for disappointing. They were competitive, for the most part had winning records and were in the playoffs, especially under Flutie, whom which they should have stayed under.
  9. None of the three you listed are bonafide NFL stars. Johnson has had one good season, as a #2 receiver, with Lee Evans drawing the majority of double teams, he has to prove he can do it consistently and as the #1 guy. Dareus has played in two preseason games? Really? Merriman has to prove that he can stay healthy and that he has anything left in the tank. If there is a star on this team it would be Kyle Williams, and he is just approaching that level. I do agree with the other poster, this is one of the, if not the worst NFL roster I have ever seen.
  10. After two preseason games? I hope you are right eventually, but isn't it a little early?
  11. I have been on the phone so much over the past month with Directv I should be on their payroll, but it for the most part has been worth it. The first time I called to tell them one of my old boxes wouldn't work (I have 3), they gave me a free upgrade, with free installation of another HD DVR in a bedroom (I already have one in my living room). Then I wanted to tell them I was cancelling my Sunday Ticket (I wasn't really going to but I was trying for a discount of course) and the lady gave me $5 off my bill a month for two years as well as two months credit for my one box not working. She forwarded me to another agent (was still trying to talk to the Sunday Ticket people), and this agent gave me another $25 off my bill for 6 months. I finally got to the Ticket people (this was while the lockout was still on) and he said he couldn't do anything until the labor situation was clear. I called again a couple weeks ago and asked to talk to the Sunday Ticket people and the girl said I was already getting all these discounts, but I said to let me talk to them anyway. I got to the Ticket people and the guy acted like a robot reading a script. He said "you aren't just a good customer you are a loyal customer" or something like that, which he said over and over, and said he wanted me to finish the call with a smile on my face, so I told him that was going to take something special for that, and acted like I was disgusted with Directv. He offered me $20 off each of the six months payment of $33 or something like that ($120 off there), and said how is that? I still acted unhappy and he gave me a one time credit of $50 off my bill ($170 from them now) and I still acted not totally happy so he gave me the Sundary Ticket extra or whatever it is called for free (another $60 value-which I wouldn't have paid for but I'll take it for free). I finally figured I had pushed my luck and told him that would be fine. So basically just from the Sunday Ticket people I got $230 value for free not counting the discounts on my regular bill from the other folks, which was another $240 discounts, for a total of $470 of discounts for my time on the phone. All that and I was never going to leave Directv, but I figured I have had the Ticket for 8 or 9 years and never got a penny discount, I might as well give it a try.
  12. I have been a die hard Bills fan for almost 40 years now, and personally this is the most negative and hopeless feeling I have ever felt towards my beloved team. That doesn't mean that I cannot wait for the game every sunday, I get the Sunday Ticket every year just to watch my team lose most weekends, but I cheer when something good happens and scream when it doesn't just as much as I did in the 90's when we were winning. I know I am not alone feeling this, but I still get threats from this board that I will be banned if I keep up my negative comments towards the franchise and the owner (I didn't say his name), all of which just stem from my frustration over the past decade plus, of how this team has turned to the laughing stock of the NFL and that it doesn't seem to bother the people in charge. Have there been low points in the history of this franchise, sure, more than there have been high points, but with the moving of the organization hanging over everyones head, almost like a threat coupled with actually playing home games outside the country, the longest non-playoff string in the NFL, poor drafts, letting key players walk, etc. has made this era the pits.
  13. Unlike yourself, I think the 2011 Offensive Line will be a disaster, but where I do see some big improvement is on the Run Defense. It can't get any worse, and with Darius and hopefully (fingers crossed) healthy linebackers behind them, it has to improve.
  14. Am I the only one who thinks Fred Jackson is being a huge baby? YES!
  15. That wouldn't be a bad move as the Lions have two decent young backups with Stanton and Shaun Hill, but I would guess the only way either of them become available is if Stafford can actually make it through a whole season in one piece. Stafford only started games last year, the same number that Stanton started, so he isn't really buried on the depth chart as long as Stafford remains so brittle. Maybe they can get him with the extra 4th round pick that they got from the Ravens for Lee Evans.
  16. You would never get Harvin for a 4th round pick. For one, the Vikings would never trade him, and if they did it would probably take a first round pick to get him.
  17. I live in Virginia and was told it was Ralph's wallet falling out of his pocket and hitting the ground.
  18. You don't know how perfectly descriptive your post is. I have said the same thing, almost word for word on this board, but I am considered a Ralph hater which I am not. He is just a terrible owner, bottom line. You are correct about Edwards, but the saddest thing about that is that just two weeks earlier he was the savior and future of this franchise, as so designated by this clueless organization.
  19. Let him be the GM/Head Coach for a few days, maybe he will get something right?
  20. If Gailey is going to base everything on height, etc. Why is Parrish still a WR and for that matter, why is Fitz still a QB? Why didn't he move Maybin to wideout and trade Stevie Johnson for a 6th round pick if body size is all that matters?
  21. That might be true, but if they start Spiller, then by the time Jackson gets in the game we will be down by 3 or 4 touchdowns and will be forced to pass the ball. Not saying that we won't be down that much if Jackson started either, but at least at the opening of the game you can run the ball-since when the game starts it is tied at 0-0.
  22. If those are potentially 9 starters, then you answered the question "why do we always suck". That might be the biggest stretch I have ever seen on this forum is to list all those players as "Significant" free agent acquisitions. Did any of them with the exception of Smith even have interest from other teams? You might as well add Buster Davis to the list, since signing him enabled this brilliant front office the depth to trade our best wide receiver and locker room leader, if not our best offensive weapon period.
  23. For the most part, in my opinion the uniforms are a big improvement. I am not a fan of the way the stripe fattens out in the back either, but the rest of the helmet I really like. I would like to see what it looks like with a blue facemask though. I really like the home uniforms, but the away ones I think are too much white, if they added blue pants to the away uniform it would be much better in my opinion. I kinda get the feeling that the all white away uniforms have a non-tough feel to them.
  24. I totally agree. I don't dislike Spiller, but what could he have done in a couple weeks to move up to the #1 back, after being pretty much lost last year, and probably the drafts biggest disappointment in 2010. He couldn't block, couldn't run inside, etc. My only guess is this front office and coaching staff that seem to be more lost as every day goes by, are just trying to justify wasting the #9 pick in the draft on him, kinda like the 49ers have been doing for about 5-6 years now with Alex Smith. I had hopes for this new regime, but as time goes by, it is becoming clear it is just more of the same clueless, penny pinching idiocracy.
