  1. I was thinking Mickey Rooney:
  2. If that were true I imagine they would case the house, get what they could and take off instead of confronting the victims. I could see what you are saying if she had generically responded along the lines of "he's a decent dad" but when the ex says he loves his boy more than anything in the world, etc. that's well above and beyond. This is his ex, they typically hate giving the estranged father credit for anything good. And, quite frankly, if she expressed doubts about LeSean's parenting he would be the CPS target not her. Even more reason for her to speak out.
  3. Thanks for posting, I don't do Instagram. Big endorsement when his ex will stand up for how he treats his son.
  4. Do you have a link to this? LeSean's mom said something to this effect but I can't find any kind of statement from this Steph, other than her and LeSean got into a heated Twitter fight back in 2013.
  5. France is my favorite also. Don't sell England short though, I feel like they could reasonably pull it off against either of the French speaking teams, they are working the ball around very well. Uruguay also broke down the French defense several times so it'll be interesting if they can clean that up or be exposed again.
  6. Utterly terrible example. Look at the jawline, cheekbones, overall facial structure. I get that some guys need makeup and long hair to see beauty, but for the rest of us that is not an average looking face. I think Sarah Jessica Parker in her prime is a great example with the caveat that her long face/nose is a deal breaker for some.
  7. Until Hillary chooses to support Cuomo over Cynthia Nixon. So, let's B word about how classless this restaurant owner is and return the favor when the situation is reversed? Nice hypocrisy. How about leading by example and showing more class than this? We're all supposed to be mature adults. Don't go eat there to protest and let's see if they can stay in business.
  8. Yea, and I enjoy Northern CA but I like more of a change of seasons. Definitely somewhere I'll consider retiring to if I can somehow afford it. I'm the kind of guy that took up steelhead fishing in part because now I look forward to the fall and spring rains. Dreary days push steelhead in!
  9. I think you bring up a great point about him always moving forward just before he throws. For me, Mahomes has unorthodox footwork, he does move his feet a lot in the pocket but also sets them very quickly to make a throw. Those who complain about his footwork ignore the consistent quality of the passes that result. Maybe I'm wrong, we'll see this fall!
  10. Stop making sense for most of us! There's plenty who see TT as you do. We also realize his long ball accuracy has really sucked the last 2 years and I no longer consider it a strength of his.
  11. My biggest weather related complaint is the inconsistency in seasonal temperatures here in Cleveland. Cold Augusts, hot in January and March. If it's winter, give me the cold temps and snow so I can cross country ski, etc. I hate muddy winters! But I'm a change of seasons guy. Wouldn't be able to stand the south or California. A low 70s glorious fall day with crisp 40's at night to savor a dark beer next to the fire is just incomparable.
  12. Just wanted to bump this actual text conversation as it's completely damning to the argument of no bias. I agree with DR that even the finer wording of the "no bias" summary may have been edited by DOJ. Unless this witness or Hilary was prosecuted, and we know that answer.
  13. Wow. What a scoop! The Israelis are dumber than I thought if they need a classified report to arrive at this conclusion. Fake news odds are sky high.
  14. Agree totally about Watkins. One interesting sidelight here is revealing just how broken our "free" press is. Equally concerning to me as this government corruption. Part of my research involves government related work and I am technically a part time employee. They have plenty of ethical policies that would get enforced on me. Obviously some aren't held to the same standard.
  15. Yea, considering they basically said the bias didn't influence agency decisions that seems far too strong. They may not have uncovered any definitive facts to support it.
  16. Bottom of the page is interesting. "Under these circumstances, we did not have confidence that Strozek's decision to prioritize the Russia investigation over... ...was free from bias. No surprises why they sat on the laptop info.
  17. Yes, but the question becomes if people should lose their jobs. I work in research at a hospital and we have a strict ethics policy. I would easily lose my job if in this situation.
  18. You definitely make a great point about Sack never even getting in when the Jets were desperate to find a QB. Not like there was any real competition keeping him on the bench.
  19. I watched him at Penn State and he definitely couldn't read the field and make any kind of complex decision. Glad the Jets thought so highly of him!
  20. You know, I have 2 points here. 1. It's funny as hell that you posted this while concurrently complaining other posters keep trying to tie today's events to Obama. 2. As a centrist, I was happy when Obama discussed being willing to sit down with Iranian and DPRK leaders. As the world superpower, should we lord over other countries or be magnanimous enough to take chances in hopes of spurring resolutions? Funny Trump never talked about it during the election, just went and did it. Part of why Obama was such a massive disappointment.
  21. For nothing? Showing NK we are serious by agreeing to halt training exercises we've conducted twice a year for many years as a gesture to keep negotiations moving forward? If NK balks as in the past is it really so difficult to reauthorize training exercises? Have we significantly compromised our negotiating strength by doing it? I don't see how. Kim asked for this meeting and offered denuclearization up front. I see Trump's offer as mostly symbolic, but effective given NK's offense at these exercises in the past. Great concession!
  22. So it makes sense that your sit vs start superbowl QB's could perform nearly identically their first 16 games AND the QB's that sat out benefited from the learning time if each coach wanted a similar degree of mental proficiency before letting their QB start. Just depends on the individual, the situation, and your perspective. Also, some QB's benefit from studying, others won't put the effort in and prefer to learn it when playing and this may skew the numbers. There are a ton of other variables (quality of coaching, quality of the offense, etc) No easy answers, I definitely respect your efforts to quantify it though. At the end of the day, the coach has to decide if the rookie QB can come in, absorb the offense and run it effectively (quick decisions) at the NFL level. If not, let him sit until he can. I suspect this is behind the plan for Josh Allen. Not whether he should be annointed starter from day 1 or do we mandate he sit a year or more? So Allen runs the 40 0.05 seconds faster and that automatically means he's the better athlete? Watching both QB's college film, I found Mahomes much more agile on the field. We'll have to agree to disagree. Both Zerovotlz and I linked articles breaking down and discussing Mahomes' decision making. If you looked through both of them and are at this point of wonder, further discussion is pointless. Time will tell and I have no problem owning being wrong.
  23. Well, Oakland's got EJ now at some point the question will be answered and JP cycled through the Raiders, Seahawks, and Dolphins before his career ended. Do you really wonder about how JP might have done? It's pretty emphatic to me.
  24. Allen is a better athlete then Mahomes? Not on this planet. Mahomes is far more mobile and accurate off balance then Allen. Allen is a great athlete for being a 6'5" gork, but Mahomes is quicker and more agile. Allen has a slightly stronger arm but Mahomes isn't far behind. Both QB's get the ball out very quickly but I give the edge to Mahomes because he's more compact. As far as Mahomes' footwork, a good part of it is unorthodox because he used to be a pitcher and that's the footwork he uses on his long throws. It's not like he doesn't set his feet it's just very unorthodox in this sport. The thing that separates Mahomes from almost any other quarterback is he processes the game and makes decisions at a very high level. The guy who wrote this article gets it, just check out the videos and explanations if you don't feel like wading through all the prose: https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2018/1/3/16842168/patrick-mahomes-all-22-vs-the-broncos-buckle-up That's why the Chiefs had no problem trading Alex Smith, not because of Mahomes' stats or any one play he did or didn't make. He got out there vs a pressure Bronco defense and made good reads and quick decisions.
  25. This says it all. Then point out improbably making the playoffs is a symptom of this. For the first time since the 90's we are once again capable of making our own luck on the field.
