  1. Jerry Jabber has a point - it's over. At this point it doesn't matter how JP does in Philly. In a few years we'll have to look back on this and say how did Peter's do in 2009 - 2011 & likewise how did the Bills use the picks they got for him - and how are those players performing. That is all that will matter. Right now, all the amateur bloggers and internet posters are guessing and giving their opinions. Let's check back after the 2011 season and grade this one. For now, let's look to fill our holes with quality FA's (like Jason Taylor not Bob Corkum) and the Draft next weekend!
  2. It's over. Nothing we can do now. His crying was getting old Now it's time to concentrate on football and add some new young talent. Think of the extra money we have to spend on any new acquisitions. Peter's $4mm + the $5mm++ the FO was willing to pay him. Are you ready for some football?!
  3. I billeve they'll sign Petrs - but only God knows when. If the Bills draft a LT - then the FO may have reached the end of the line on Peters. Bottom line is the Draft will be an indicator of how the Peters' negotiations are going.
  4. I saw it too - in the Sporting News Mag w/ Matt Stafford on the cover. Bright guy that Willis! He also thinks the Wonderlick is performed by Gene Simmons during KISS Concerts! Good riddance! He validates the decision to trade him every single day.
  5. It's an NFL Network game - we cannot get flexed-out of it. I'm glad I've got Fios (& the NFL Network).
  6. Some good points above. I'm ok with the Jets game in TO. The Ralph never held much of an advantage over them in the past. We should be better than the Jets this year - so we don't NEED a home-field Ad anyway. And the crowd won't necessarily be more NYC than Buff. As stated in a post above, the TO corporate crowd should have a larger presence. Buffalo fans can make a long weekend of it by leaving work a little early on Thurs and taking Fri off. NYC fans will need to take MORE time off of work and deal with the unfamiliar hassle at the border (or in airport customs).
  7. We need to quit whining. The Bills are looking at Dominic Rhodes - if they can sign him, the RB issues will subside. Not to mention DR's effectiveness in the passing game. They need to get Peters signed and I would like them to draft Herman "Biggest Baby" Johnson to shore up the OL. Then the Bills can concentrate on the DL, LB's and the TE position + team depth. Not nearly as bad as it sometimes seems to be. We could easily be anywhere from 6-10 to 11-5. We need to go at least .500 in our division. I see no reason we can't win 2-4 games againts the Jets/Fins. We also could use a win against the Pats at home - or maybe we can surprise them in wk 1, like the Fish did last year by waiting until their game against the Pats to unveil the Wildcat - when they crushed them in NE. Outside our division, we were 7-3 in 2008. Regardless of the media comments - the AFC East is tough - where teams beat up on each other. But outside the division, teams generally aren't as good - therein lies the opportunity. Go 7-3 again + 3-3 in the division and we're 10-6. Keep hoping!!
  8. Anyone? I haven't seen any posts from him on NFL.com since March 6th. What gives?
  9. undefined I screwed up - try the above, or this . . . http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/vaca...topnav_vacation
  10. WNY 10 Day Forecast Still cool here in WNY, but improving
  11. Asante Samual going to the Eagles got them the 3rd Rd pick . . . not really sure of the other picks.
  12. Look, let's face reality. We'd all sleep better if the deal were done now, but it's a process - one that takes time. In all reality, they have several milestone dates to shoot for - all in the future. Depending on how the GM is thinking - does he want a solid LT or will any journeyman do? That will decide his tack. He has until the draft - a month away. Or he may feel he has until mini-camp - a little more than a month away or he may have until Training camp in July. That's the bottom line - July. Because I am sure they want to avoid another holdout. Many are saying trade him and draft a LT to replace him - if that we so do-able, their trading partner would just draft their LT in that draft slot. No - better to sign him and forget about that position for the next 6-7 years!
  13. White Throwbacks Check this out for some pics of the white throwbacks.
  14. The Prez is right. TE is a luxury compared to our need positions - both lines and LB's - and there's plenty of talent in those positions at #11. Does anyone remember that sure fire, can't miss TE the 49'ers chose last year? Vernon Davis! He's not exactly lighting it up, heck the Jets' Keller had a better 1st yr. Now Davis may end up being good or even great but my point is the payoff will not be in the 1st year (see James Hardy). We need linemen or LBs Cushing or Mauluga (sp?) from USC.
  15. Geeze!!! They have until July to get it done. Be Patient - so much can change.
  16. Grunt... I agree. And if you look like that picture - I'm free on Friday!!
  17. & yes it's a very slow time, waiting & waiting for the FO to add more FA pieces and/or speculating on the Draft!
  18. Did the guy who entered the scores on the 2008 Bills Schedule on the TwoBillsDrive site kill himself after the Miami game in Toronto. Who could blame him!?!? 2008 Bills Schedule 09/07 SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 34 - 10 09/14 @ Jacksonville Jaguars 20 - 16 09/21 OAKLAND RAIDERS 24 - 23 09/28 @ St. Louis Rams 31 - 14 10/05 @ Arizona Cardinals 17 - 41 10/12 BYE 10/19 SAN DIEGO CHARGERS 23 - 14 10/26 @ Miami Dolphins 16 - 25 11/02 NEW YORK JETS 17 - 26 11/09 @ New England Patriots 10 - 20 11/17 CLEVELAND BROWNS 27 - 29 11/23 @ Kansas City Chiefs 54 - 31 11/30 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 3 - 10 12/07 MIAMI DOLPHINS (Toronto) - 12/14 @ New York Jets - 12/21 @ Denver Broncos - 12/28 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS -
  19. Well if that's all he wants he can get that in Amherst, Clarence or Orchard Park for about $1.5mm or less!!
  20. Maybe this should serve as a wake-up call and the FO s/b bold again and make a run at Peppers themselves!!!!
  21. Those of us following the Bills have, by now, heard the story of how T.O. was assigned #81. Here's a re-cap: Bills Management approached James Hardy and asked him if they could give #81 to Owens. Hardy (much to his credit) said sure, besides, he wants to make his number famous by performing well and after all, his college # was 82 and Josh Reed had it so he would take 84. Then Owens walks into the locker room and sees his stall "81 - Owens" - that's how T.O. knew he would be #81. To hear National Media tell it, Owens bullied Hardy into surrendering the number and is off to a "great" start by creating issues in the Bills Locker Room. (Mort, Rome, Cowherd, NFL Network & more have slanted this negatively.) Let this be a lesson to us all - take everything the National Media says with a gulp of salt!!
  22. Ayers ate OL alive at the combine. His upside is enormous, he's also something like 6'3" 270 lbs - much more stout than Maybin or Brown The downside or rather, the question about him is why did he only start his senior season? I would rather see us draft this guy or Rey Maluga (sp) the MLB from USC at 11 than some of these other guys.
