Another Buffalo Bills player who's been vastly overrated by the fan base for years.

I saw this on the Mainboard and it's nothing new. Most honest Noles fan were as shocked as everyone else when he was taken that high but they used it as a feather in Jimbo's cap for recruiting. Anyone who actually watched his games knew that Jimbo dumbed down the offense for him and that he was average at best. This should shock no one accept his fanboy club. Because he wasn't good maybe? You take a prospect with long term potential in the 3rd or 4th round, not the first. Why is that so confusing?

Yes significantly. He had the same amount of carries as the year before but 300 less rushing yards. He also had 400 less receiving yards (ypr dropped 5 yds) which dropped his total production by a full third on 28 less touches YoY. His TD total also plummeted from 11 to 5. If that isn't significant I don't know what is. You can chalk it up to less touches but he's expected to be the work horse here in a downhill offense and he doesn't have Sproles behind him here. Also, If you think his Oline was bad in Philly what do you think he has in Buffalo? He's clearly not handled leaving Philly well. If the Bills don't have the season that everyone is dreaming of I would bet that he becomes more of a distraction than a leader.

If Shady wasn't a Bill everyone defending him would have a huge problem with his mouth. I guess I've had enough of big mouths like Buddy Nix and Lil Donte and I just want to see results. You'd think a guy who's production went down significantly last year would find a way to humble himself but I guess not. I never liked this trade and I'm finding it hard to root for another big mouth who hasn't produced in a Bills uniform.

Might of been the way that I wrote it. His struggles with reading defenses had a lot to do with the way Beamer asking him to make plays with his feet instead of standing in the pocket and reading the defenses. FWIW, he was awesome at it. His inaccuracy was an issue throughout his college career but he improved a ton his senior year.

I watched Tyrod quite a bit in college and the one thing he does is make plays. He's amazing when he gets out of the pocket and has a rocket arm. His accuracy wasn't great and he didn't read the field well but I'll chalk that up to how Beamer used him. Hopefully a few years behind Flacco and some great offensive coaching he's learned something. I really think he starts.

Awful pick. Poor running instincts. Nothing more than a special teams players. Maybe Rex tries to make him a safety like he was in high school and for the first two years at FSU when he was proclaimed to be the next Sean Taylor.

I like the pick - he's young, athletic and aggressive. He had a better 2013 but it's probably because FSU couldn't rush the passer to save his life. If you ever watch an FSU game their whole secondary plays nasty. They hit, talk junk and intimidate. He'll be a good player.

Buddy Nix was a terrible GM. The teams record was awful under his regime. His coaching picks were awful too. The 2010 draft was one of the worst in NFL history. Invested 60 million dollars into a career backup QB. He was a big mouth who telegraphed every move. He drafted EJ. He was a joke and anyone who says any different is not paying attention.

I expect a big turn around from Cyrus K. Henderson is the one I'm nervous about. He never was never consistent at Miami and I never thought he loved the game.

If gaining 10-15 lbs helps a QB make quicker reads and improve accuracy I say give him a VIP pass to Duffs!

Can I bet the field?

I'm okay with the signing but you might want to do some homework on the guy. He had major problems in high school, college and the nfl. They dont always have to be "off field" problems. The dude is one of the most talented athletes on the planet and if teams didn't think was an idiot he would've been the first player signed in FA.

He's an incredibly talented cancer. I'd take him for a year on an incentive based contract with the ability to cut him anytime.

He's a degenerate but he's better than BJ and Cassel on their best days combined. He needs a coach like Rex to keep him in line. Don't let him throw the ball 100 times a game and he'd be effective. Do it.

Sounds like pure speculation but I could see them drafting a QB.

It's more of a statement about the Bills situation at QB than an indictment of the FO.
