  1. He came into camp a few years ago at 280 lbs.
  2. And he's never minced his words when talking about the Bills Dolphins rivalry after games. I doubt he'll come here, or anywhere in the AFC East for that manner, simply because of the rivalries over the years. Of course I'll be the first to come on here and insert my foot in my mouth if he signs with NE*
  3. I would hardly call him "injury prone." The guy missed 4 games in 11 years before last year, and his "injury" almost required his leg to be amputated if doctors didn't act fast enough. Even with such a serious injury, the guy still played in 13 games. He's a warrior and will play better when fully healed. I don't think the bills will bite on this one, but I think he's got a few good seasons left in him. Probably be great as a situational passer on a line with some other studs.
  4. agreed. But this is an interesting issue. A lot of people think he's done his time and he should be forgiven. After all, America is a forgiving country. But I thought they should have thrown the book at him. And I didnt like how in his plea bargain he never specifically stated that he himself killed a dog, only told others to do so. The fact that he dumped a sh-- load of money to friends and family right before he was going to prison was also really shady to a guy that was supposedly committed to repentance. Personally I think he should never step on the turf again. But I know quite a few people who disagree...
  5. Haha anybody still think we overpaid Lee Evans yet?
  6. thanks for the heads up. With these changes in mind, I still don't understand how the hell the Redskins could drop all that guaranteed money when they had less than 10 mil under the cap. Is it because teams dont want to go over the cap for fear of next year, or is it they cant at all? If they still can go over, Snyder just may be saying "to hell with the cap," I'll do what I please. I still can't see them not having to cut some serious fat off their roster to stay under.
  7. Anis haha...anis is as anis does
  8. I think Jerry Jones lets the fan inside of him get the best of him way to often. Rather than listening to tried and true scouts or trusted personnel guys, he'd rather act like somebody on TBD and create a madden team, chemistry be damned. He doesn't care if a square peg doesn't fit in a round hole, they should find a way to jam it in there. Everytime a decent player gets cut, everybody and their mom jumps on this board creating a thread of how we should get him. And I'm sure Jones is the exact same way, until somebody in the organization coaxes him out of it. Yeah the guy played college ball, but he just isnt on the level of an NFL scout, just like Ralph's daughter. And the way he picks coaches like Wade, I'm sure the guys he picks for personnel are just as well syncophants, who agree with everything him and his son come up with.
  9. both are gone and we draft a 1st round ohio st cb in the 2010 draft...mark my words
  10. or he could turn into the 2009 version of the second p. price stint...which I hope won't happen
  11. I understand that. First, I was saying that since NY has some of the highest tax rates in the country, at least for 9 games they'll get a cheaper rate than Buffalo. In some of those games, they wont have to pay double income tax . Secondly, I was trying to prove that they still have to pay taxes where they play. Two or three people thought that was the craziest idea in the world (I thought the same when I heard it) but it's true. EDIT: and from what I'm told, if you have a good accountant they can get deductions for the state income tax if they had paid it in another state.
  12. And here's a story to back it up. Maybe you should do a little research first before you dismiss things. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=209444 "Taxes. Some state and local governments believe that if we earn money in their jurisdictions, we should pay taxes there, too. So we pay something in almost every city in which we play. Six games at Fenway Park a season means paying state tax in Massachusetts and city tax to Boston. Of course, we're also taxed by the home cities in which we play as well as the places where we live in the offseason. We like road games in Texas and Florida because there's no state income tax in those places."
  13. Nope. I know a few players on the Nationals and they tell me they have to pay state taxes in every city they play in.
  14. I've said this a milllllllllllllion times on this board. The players get taxed on where the ACTUAL game is played. They get state income tax in now only 7 buffalo games and the rest are where the game is played. I really don't think that, to these guys, that's much more money. And since the standard of living in Buffalo is so much cheaper than almost any other NFL city, they probably make that money back in the long run. Lets put this issue to rest now.
  15. Notice LaCanfora says his side of a story is from a "league source." It does sound like the Bills !@#$ed this one up, but this could also be another one of Mort's glory hole stories. EDIT: I read this idiot in the post all the time, and he is an idiot. I just saw that he clearly thinks the contract is 3 years 27 million. All other sources say 5 year 27....what is wrong with him>?
  16. It's already been a lost decade. We can only hope that the NEXT decade wont be a lost decade
  17. I'd rather have 23-25 other backup QBs than Fitzpatrick
  18. He could work in the sub shop. Do they still have the Doug Flutie subs? Those were my favorite...
  19. Special Assistant to Ralph Wilson Jr.? Duties include backrubs and sponge baths. Wait, that sounds familiar. I'm pretty sure Russ Brandon fills that role already...
  20. Rage Sosenfels?
  21. Sending Ralph to the HOF looks real good right now.... almost as good as sending Peters to the 2009 Pro Bowl.
  22. Polian said when he signed Saturday that the cap unexpectedly jumped from 123 to 127 mil. I don't know if that change came yesterday or the start of FA or what, but that's how the Colts got their man to the table. If thats true of the Redskins, they have probably 12 million open. If the reports on cutting springs is true, thats up to 18 mil. And if they cut Taylor, I dont know how much more. They'll find it, and even thought these deals will probably come back to hurt them, Snyder will shrug, cut these players and move on to pricier and more glamorous free agents down the road. He wont B word and moan and talk about personnel moves from 6 years ago that are still haunting the team and their bottom line, he'll say "we tried, we failed, move on." Thats what a good owner does. You at least have to give the guy credit for TRYING to bring a champion to DC..
