AFC East Viewpoint on T.O. and Evans
TheLynchTrain replied to TheLynchTrain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I should add this one too: notjustQBs "As I said elsewhere, our DBs will be licking their chops at T.O. and Evans and Reed. Don't forget that either." This is some serious comedy over on the Gang Green boards -
Nobody here had gone trolling on the other message boards about what they thought about facing Evans and TO twice a year. I thought I might see some "we're F(*(*&ed!" messages, but I couldnt find anything on the Pats* board and didnt bother to look on the Fins. But the Jets fans seem pretty cocky about the whole thing: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=43385 "I think it will be a good battle. I would man Revis on T.O, Lito on Lee, Lowery on Reed. Kerry deep the way Ed Reed did when ravens played the cowgirls. With rolling help to Lito side. Thoughts." Lito on Lee Evans? and "lito and safety on TO, revis on evans" And the last one made me laugh. Revis is damn good, but single coverage on Evans? I laughed on that one for about 20 minutes. Anybody have any thoughts on what these other fans are thinking? I know from what I've looked there were a serious amount Pats and Jets fans that really wanted their teams to go after Owens, and now that he's signed with the Bills, they're saying they didnt want him anyhow. Anybody find anything else to post on here?

Just how bad is Buffalo nightlife?
TheLynchTrain replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This whole issue surprised me during the week. I remember seeing an article on T.O. a few years ago that said during the season he really doesn't do all that much. He's in bed by 10 o clock, and for god sakes, he sleeps in a hyperbolic chamber....like Michael Jackson, as Pierce said. Yeah I'm sure its different during the offseason, but I don't think this whole idea of him as a world class partier is so true. -
you can pretty much make these online and im sure you can go to a tailor/shoe guy afterwards and get him to put some sort of sticker or stitch on their...lot of money and lot of time but they would look badass

Of all the questions, of all the posts, YOU joined TBD to ask THAT QUESTION? -
Thanks for the response Tim. Living outside of Buffalo, I just get sick and tired of the same old bashing from people that know absolutely nothing about the area. But as Dean noted, the people from Buffalo collectively need to grow thicker skin...
-
Hey Tim: Any thoughts on this phenomenon of other writers just trashing Buffalo just to trash the city and people of Buffalo? I don't get it. The Bills could have signed a player with the most sparkling off field behavior and I think the media would have trashed him and the city as to how he would ever want to live in such a "terrible" place. You never hear this type of anger directed at a town like Green Bay, or other cold NFL cities for that matter. What did the poor people of Buffalo ever do to deserve the criticism it receives in the media day in and day out? What ever happened to cheering on the blue collar communities of America? In all the Philly papers (a town where they have their own inferiority complex on the big city stage), they are ripping Buffalo to shreds. Is there jealousy that the Bills did something, or is this just more of a "trash Buffalo" complex?
-
bford@phillynews.com I think we all need to send Mr. Ford an email and remind him what people in Buffalo are like, since he's probably never visited. Remember, Philly has a "look at me" inferiority complex that is probably 100 times bigger than buffalo, so this is there chance to dish it out

Is Ralph PREPARING to sell the Bills?
TheLynchTrain replied to Steve In Atlanta 2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My bad, I like piling on politicians as much as I can too... I just thought it might have been another generic "damn all politicians" post... didn't realize the sarcasm And by the way, I hate the Foreskins and I don't see to many non-DCers going to their games...the atmosphere is sterile, its hard to get to, the stadium sucks and they have a generic boring product -

Buddy, get a clue. They're not buying the luxury suites, lobbyists are buying them to buy influence. What politicians would you be accusing in your post? Congressman? Senators? It's not like they have a blank check with the Treasury to cash on the weekend...they do that during session with our tax money. Now if you're talking about people buying season tickets or luxury suites for a college football season, then saying they are tax deductable, there's your problem. Don't make silly accusatory or ill informed posts like that...you sound like an idiot. -
I like the fact that they gave him probation. Now he knows that he can't do anything this time or he really will face the consequences. I think it might also help our contract negotiations in the next round, if it ever gets to that. He'll have one year of probation left after his rookie contract expires. They might (I'm almost positive they will) put a clause in his next contract that says if he screws up, they take his signing bonus back. Pretty sure Plax and the Gints are doing that right now. Lets hope he's not like Hargrove and actually does his community service.

Tim Graham wrote yesterday that he thinks: "Florence will help the Bills bridge the gap from Greer to Leodis McKelvin. The No. 11 draft pick last year possesses an abundance of raw ability, but the Bills aren't quite ready to entrust the right cornerback job to him." http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-6-15/...with-Greer.html I was a little puzzled with this myself...I thought McKelvin more than proved himself last year, but hey Timmy knows what he's talking about -

It was reported earlier that they might get rid of Robbins...no way Tuck, Osi or Kiw go anywhere.
