Is that the HGH regiment you're talking about? I heard Bellicheck brews his own batches at the complex...
-
There you go. Now they only have three CBs that are getting starter money. Oh, the foreskins always crack me up. EDIT: Well I guess Rogers is in the last year of his rookie contract so they'll let him play out his string.

Nnamdi never got thrown two. Lockdown corners dont get too many balls thrown their way and the other guy gets picked on. Yeah, he sucked and wasnt a good fit in that defense, but if you watched any raider games (or even our game for example) do you remember how long Trent had to throw? Their D line sucked, had no pressure and their secondary had to cover for 4-5 seconds every play. He wasnt ready to play in Oaklands wide open system because he never played that way before. The redskins dont do that with their corners, which is a good fit for him but laughable at all the money they're giving a guy to not be a shutdown corner. But I think theres plenty of players out there that have played more than 8 terrible games in a season and rebounded. I watched all of the redskins games last year and he played pretty well. INTs dont mean everything for a CB, but like sacks they are at least some measure of a players skills...he had 5...and I dont think a bills player had 5 since clements, and before that, I dont know. I'm not arguing the money was too much, but I think he's a decent corner that could turn things around. I especially remember people on this board saying that we should have gone out and got him when he was cut.

Well, its good to note Scott will be 29 in August... a lot of money for a player if they're giving him 8 mil a year...hope its reallllly long contract with plenty of guarantees

OL Hangartner to visit Bills Friday
TheLynchTrain replied to buffalo1983's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3939196 Bears just signed another Panthers backup, Frank Omiyale, to a 4 year 14 mil deal. Yeah, he's a OT and he'll get more money than Hangartner, but Hangarter's played more games over his career and I wouldn't be surprised if his agent tried to push a contract like this with similar years and maybe a little less money. We'll see. -
Should we be Talking to Ray Lewis?
TheLynchTrain replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If there's any chance that he could kill Dick Jauron in the future, then I'm all for it. Especially if he can beat the murder charges a second time.. In all seriousness, why wouldnt you want the guy. In his short stint here, can you imagine how he would transform the players around him? Their play, attitude, ect? -
OL Hangartner to visit Bills Friday
TheLynchTrain replied to buffalo1983's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He sounds alright if we try and get him to fit a younger Whittle role. It'd be hard pressed to convince many that he could start and play well on a lesser line tho... -
I think you'll definitely make it before the Bills make the playoffs....sadly

Thought the same thing when I saw those contracts. They must be thinking about cutting some fat in the next few days. They have 4 CBs making starter money. A few overpaid lineman, expensive LBs... Maybe London will see the door, i dont know They overpaid for Hall, yes, but first round bust? Hardly, unless your Atlanta. Yeah he's a problem child, but that hasn't shown up yet in DC. I think he's poor play in the first 8 games had a lot more to do with Oakland than it did with him. He played pretty well in Wash last year while learning a new system.
-
You're not exactly right. Just because he's playing somewhere else doesn't mean he wouldn't have his primary home in Florida and pay his taxes (or lack thereof there). I got a friend in the Nats farm system and he says a lot of players on the east coast have homes in florida for this exact reason, but its for weekends and off season. BUT, what you're forgetting is that professional athletes pay taxes in the towns/cities/states where they play. So yeah, if he played 8 games in FL compared to Buffalo, he wouldn't have to pay taxes on that, but the other 8 games could be potentially taxed in NY, FL, TX or AZ, depending on where they pay this week. At least that's how he explained it to me for baseball players. It must get complicated, and I would understand why they'd get an accountant.

Derrick Brooks also. Brooks is pretty old, but he's one of the smartest linebackers in the league. I'd take him over Ellison in a backup spot any day. We should sign both of these fools

After reading this morning's article about Lynch's mom...

haha i loved that shirt when I saw it. I think the words were a little more crude, if I remember correctly. -
Might get Andre Smith at 11?
TheLynchTrain replied to TheLynchTrain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The same was said about Jason Peters when he came in. Obviously a lot of people on this board don't think that's changed. But he came into Buffalo very overweight as an UDFA. This guy was a monster in college and was talked about as the number 1 overall pick just last week. I think if he fell to #11, we need to give him some serious consideration. He has way to much talent. Everybody has bad days. Judge him on the last 5 years, not a 24 hour period. -
Orakpo = 2009's version of Gholston

Nobody? C'mon...

Anybody thats been on this board or has been watching the events surrounding the combine know how Andre Smith has "supposedly" dropped some serious value the past few days. Supposedly overweight, gave conflicting stories on why he wasnt working out, gave bad interviews and then he just LEFT. Without talking to anyone. Yeah yeah, this all sounds pretty bad. But he was arguably the best college player last year. Probably thought he was a shoo in, underestimated the value of the combine, and in the last point his agent sounds like the idiot who screwed up with communication about leaving. This sounds exactly why you hire an agent, to handle stuff like telling people you're heading out. That all being said, SI (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/02/21/scouting.combine/index.html?eref=si_nfl) and CBS (http://www.cnbc.com/id/29348238) say Smith could have fallen from a top five pick to late first round! That's crazy. And they say he could lose 23 mil, just like that! It sounds like the media is making more of an issue Smith and Crabtree and others wayy to much. Obviously, this event and all of sports get scrutinized more and more every year, but were talking about scrutiny that could push a talent like him to the bottom of the first round? Yeah, he didn't work out enough in the last few months. He probably didnt give to craps about this combine, and like any immature 22 year old, walked away when he was too steamed to talk to anyone else. He probably felt his agent didnt prepare him well enough, and he sure didn't handle the fallout too well afterwards. I really don't think that this is a good study on the player as a whole, and I can't see him being a poor player. If he falls to the Bills at 11, I think there's no question you have to pick him up, regardless if we have langston walker for 3 more years. This kid could be the best OL since I don't know, and can you imagine if we team him up with Peters? I'm pretty confident this kid's going to learn from his mistakes...theres a reason why he was the best HS player in Bama and a 5 year college stud. This whole fabricated issue reminds me of all the issues people made up about Suggs a few years ago...the character, 40 times, ect. He was supposed to be a top 2 pick and he fell all the way to 10! Hope this happens again, this time with Buffalo!

I know a lot of people got ESPN the mag back in early Jan from a discount website. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...80709&st=40 Finally recieved mine about a week or two ago, but can't figure out if we actually get insider access or if its not included. Can anybody help me out with this? Sorry if I opened a new discussion, I just wanted people to see this because I know it affects quite a few on this board.

TSN has Bills focusing on these FA's
TheLynchTrain replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doesn't anyone think we should show some interest in Gibril Wilson over Phillips? The guy made 9 mil last year and might be had on the cheap because of it. He looked pretty solid and might help Donte finally live up to his draft status if he isnt worrying about both S positions. -
Redskins might pursue Crowell
TheLynchTrain replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Why was it such a big deal to carry Crow for a couple weeks if we carried Schoebel for 12 games? -

Ha ha, Washington Times. I live in DC, and I do not trust a word that comes out of their paper because it is owned by the wacko Unification Church and the shady Sun Myung Moon, who calls himself Jesus Christ reborn. Yeah, its just a sports section, but its still a crappy paper...its like the Amherst Bee saying they have inside information on the Sabres. -
Players Making Way to Much Money
TheLynchTrain replied to Kenwick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well if you talk about the pressure and abuse that RW and Paul Brown went through (because they were the only owners who didnt vote yay), that's as close as possible to a gun to the head. A lot of owners were scared to question the quickly rammed through and voted on Tagliabue agreement because they were making good money and didnt want to think about the absurdity of labor unrest. Added to that, the media vilified owners such as RW and Paul Brown who didn't sign, calling them cheap, old and senile (which could be true, but not in this case). But you can't just kick the can down the street forever, and now they'll have to think about it again, with more dire consequences this time. -
This is a tough one, because I'm not sure if it would set us back once again or give us some damn good picks to improve elsewhere. The thing is that its almost 100 % certain that Lynch would go somewhere else and put up ADP numbers behind a decent line and a good core of offensive talent. 100% sure about that. And he probably wouldnt take as much of a beating. Wait, why isn't he screaming for a trade again?

I think NO WAY wasn't the right use of words. They said it would be hard to convince Taylor to pick Buffalo over NE* if he was a third option. Compounded with the Pats* success, their ability to revive old RBs (Dillion, Sammy Morris) and their ability to pull out different hundred yard rushers every week (see last year) I really don't see him signing here. But hey, maybe Jauron is good for something...would that be his biggest win in three years here if he stole Fred Taylor from the Pats* ? Good for him
-
you cant tell him to shut up, he's...he's...he's the alphadog!
