It was only a 2.8:1 payout, he called me right before he put the bet in lol. Still won 140 though! PS I think the Broncos will beat the Patsies too. Going on the record.

My friend isnt the sharpest tool in the shed, I think he meant 9:1 but I took it either way.

Well, last year Fitz did well to close out the year and won over his team mates and they woulda taken Newton if they had the chance...this year Fitz plays like poop to finish the year... my bet is they take a guy if they like him.

I have a friend in Vegas this weekend and had him put some $$ on the Broncos winning (19:1 payout) Before you call me crazy: - The Steelers D is great, but the Broncos have won scoring 15 or less in most games. - The bad OL for the Steelers and Denvers pass rush will get after Big Ben - Big ben is hurting - Mendenhall is out - Clarck cannot play because of a blood disorder - This game is the sterotypical 'they have no chance don't even play the game' pick of all the tv pundits - And here is the real kicker... The Steelers RB coach hasn't been with the team because he caught on fire. http://www.rantsports.com/pittsburgh-steelers/2012/01/08/steelers-running-back-coach-kirby-wilson-badly-burned-in-fire/ Something strange is in the air.

Possible Free Agent, and draft targets
Thoner7 replied to mob16151's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, the Saints WRs are no better than the Bills WRs, they just have Drew Brees throwing to them. Adding Meachum would be like having another Roosevelt. I really like the M Bennett idea though. I think the QB we should target is WIlson from Wisconsin. But I have an inclination that Mario Williams will be available at some point this off season. He isn't a natural fit at 3-4 OLB, the Texans had two good OLBs already in Reed and Barwin, and they had a top 5 D playing without him all season. The Bills will likely be a 4-3 team moving forward and would never sign him but I wish they would -
You know what I hate about our offense.

I like the spread. It creates wide running lanes for running backs to fit through (its way better than that stupid goal line formation, where you get 9 300+lb men, place them shoulder to shoulder in front of 9 other 300+ lb men and expect a running back to run through those two giant walls of flesh for a TD). Problem is we dont run the ball enough times, and our QB has the accuracy of a blind guy shooting a cannon, err pellet gun. I wouldnt mind to see a bit more power 0 - I love watching Stanford/SF just brick shiithouse teams -
Once again, "To all the trade up/down" people
Thoner7 replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Didnt Buddy admit they got over a dozen calls for both our 1st and 2nd round picks last year? Seems like they had many opportunities to trade out of the pick. The year before they had the card turned in too fast to hear any offers. I have heard that trades are discussed with litterally every pick in the first and rounds. Obviously teams dont like the compensation enough to pull the trigger, but to act like its sooooooooooo hard to find a partner is a bit silly. -
Vontaze Burfict defensive game changer

At some point, the Bills will have to start trying to tame lions, rather than teaching kittens to hunt, if you catch my drift. -
Jason Peters -- First Team All-Pro

FWIW - journalists vote for this stuff. Who is to say a journalist knows anything about football? Reading my local paper its evident that know very very litte. I always like to see the PB alternates. They get put in by the NFL coaches vote. Those are the real players. KW got in in 2008(?) that way after a great great season that no news paper writer was talking about. -
Clemson TE Dwayne Allen...OOOPS!!!
Thoner7 replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didnt take it that way honestly. These progrmas give them food stipends, private dining halls, world class training facilities that dwarf NFL facilities. I didnt take it to mean he was on the under-the-table dole. -
Polian Firing May Indicate Colts Draft Intentions
Thoner7 replied to K-9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My guess is Polian said lets keep Manning and draft Lukc which means about 40 mil to QBs this season and Irsay didnt like that idea. Or he is pissed they won 1 game.... I thought Jones was going back to school? -
Id take anyone of them but the keep fitz option My Order of preference: Flynn - some NFL sccess already, costs us no draft picks Luck - future top 5 NFL QB, if we are going to trade to move up we might as well trade all the picks RG3 - I think he can be a playmaker Manning - simply because he is the oldest
-
id hate that trade
-
yea New Era - best synopses I have seen. Prefer Luck but wouldnt mind RG3. Trade the whole draft for Luck, half of it for RG3. At least put the offer out there.

Buddy Nix to retire after 2012 draft?

Anyone think Gailey may be on a short leeash? If Whaley is more of a Steelers D and running game guy he may not be too happy with the pass happy Gailey. -
New Years resolution for the Bills Offensive line
Thoner7 replied to Trader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
that is the norm at most college programs, no exceptions. I think they did this during camp right? -
Shoulda happened weeks ago but Ill take it. Wouldnt have been against going outside for the replacement either, but Wanny has a good history I guess. Hopefully his time hasnt passed. You guys think we will be a 4-3 team now? Not too far off from a decent D IMO.

Trader Bill Polian and son available
Thoner7 replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought he made a lot of bone head decisions the past few drafts. With P Manning they should have won more than 1 SB. He is still one of the best GMs all time though -
I respect his passion and his confidence, even though he is a dick. ll things considered, give him a real QB and they likely play in the SB.

Buddy says "No Excuses" - what does that mean?
Thoner7 replied to FrankReichComeback's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
prob that Fitz stunk and the injuries are not an acceptable excuse as to why -
So, why no love for Fitz? How was 6-10 his fault?
Thoner7 replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OK then...21 interceptions... no excuses -
Gailey needs to be relieved of playcalling duties so someone else can be in charge of calling run plays instead of all pass plays.

In order for me to even watch the Bills next year....
Thoner7 replied to Rayzer32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well I already stopped following them this year, about mid season. SO for me to come back next year, Id like them to at least try to become better. They need to resign stevie, period, no excuses, he should be locked up, make it happen. Second if they dont make some moves, or at east try to make some moves, for a new QB then its obvious they are either A) really dumb or B) content with sucking. Getting a new defensive staff is a no brainer too.
